Have a highflow turbo for sale, still on the car so anyone interested can see it working its a gt2871r 56trim core with stock r33 housings so will bolt on and look completely standard does not smoke and in excellent condition, perfect for stock replacement, has steel turbine. looking for $700 ONO
  3. hey im pretty keen to buy some of these injectors too, are they any seals etc that should be replaced , i dont know much about this and just wondering if there's o rings or somthing that the injectors sits on or somthing that should be replaced .

Bit confused what turbo to upgrade to, i know this has been brought up many times, ive searched and cant make my mind up, so any suggestions on what is the best to drive/most exciting and aggressive turbo upgrade? I have been leaning toward GTX3076 with 0.86 rear but when i watch utube vids of it, it looks lazy and too linear in delivery, Hypergear looks good and alot of the dyno graphs show them as being even better than a gt3076 in response and power, but cant get my head around the thrust bearing part of it.. so any suggestions on what turbo would pull from say 3000rpm all the way to the redline? looking for a high boost setting of say 300kw on a low setting 250kw

  9. could be oil and coolant from the head gasket
  10. white smoke is from coolant, is it not?? oil is blue and fuel black, could it be a coolant finding a way into the combustion chamber?

I think you'd be better off with a HKS silent muffler of fujitsubu system, i have a 3 1/2 inch fujitsubu system , i decided this week to have a cannon welded on to see if it sounded better and it was terrible, sounded like a riced up honda or commodore , i also got pulled over by police for the first time, they saw me accelerating and quickly came after me like a had just robbed a bank. lol.. claimed that they saw smoke and suggested i was doing a burnout, this is just from hearing me take off from an intersection with zero boost upto 2500rpm.. so for me , id never have anything that is loud ever again..

  14. this is bit off topic here but will a 3inch cat that has been clean out inside ( all the middle taken out) create any issues with back pressure?
  15. hey, ive noticed when closing my doors that they dont feel very cushioned , what parts can be improved/replaced to make the door close with a nice cushioned "thud" , if thats the right word, you know more like a new car would be. im assuming id replace the rubber around the door but where would i get that from if thats all i need? just a general question here.
  16. well my tuner said its quite average and thought it was holding the power back, there is a difference between it and others ive seen , maybe 2-3mm narrower than the actual flange if that makes a difference.
  17. you could source a good quality jap brand for half that price second hand, i got a 3 1/2 inch catback for $200 in vgc ( HKS hi power silent equivalent) i dont think x force is that brilliant either, the dump pipe looks a bit small at the mouth, best sticking with jap stuff not aussie stuff
  18. yeah its 475flywheel horsepower times 0.75 =356kws at the flywheel then - say minus 60kw to give 290kw at the wheels.. thats if the garrett site is accurate is that calculation correct?

  20. isnt a .86garrett housing alot bigger than a stock r33 though, so maybe another 20 -30kws more
  21. the horsepower i am talking about is what is quoted on the garrett page, 475hp apparently but i dont know what the real world figure is.
  22. so it is the same 71mm compressor, i wouldnt expect the same as a gt30's output, was just curious to if it can make 250-260kw, the silvia's seem to be making it so i thought why not on an rb.. on the garrett website it says 475hp so that would be 280-290 , but im not saying it would do that.. maybe i should be asking, what is the max output on a gt28 housing with cams etc assuming it can hold high boost for short periods..

Hey ive searched but not found my answer .. i have a gt2871R with 56trim, it has r33 housings on it, ive been looking thru silvia forums and guys on there are getting figures of upto 260kw's using this turbo but in smaller trim and .63 turbine housing, so my question is if this turbo was fitted with a .86 housing (garrett) and run on 18-20psi ( apparently its most efficient pressures) will it achieve upto 260kw or even more? if a silvia 2L can make 260kw with supporting mods with smaller specs can an rb25 make the same or more or will the bigger engine hit big exhaust restriction with the smaller 53mm turbine wheel?? also worth noting is hypergear uses 2871r and 3071r for its highflows ( correct me if im wrong) so anyone know what the full output can be on an rb with all supporting mods etc..
