  1. you can see from the pics that the head has same size ports , the R33 manifold will be fine.. and save the stuffing around..
  2. Top manifold is neo, bottom is R33 Neo runner, can see gasket doesn't fit perfectly, its slightly smaller than the gasket and around the injector is a lump. Same gasket on R33 runner shows its a better match, bigger runners and no lump at the injector position which probably doesnt matter. same gasket on the Neo head , so the neo head hasn't changed to be identical to the runners, seems to have continued same as R33 at that point.

  6. Yeah i think your right, just looking at the pics i have, must of been drinking some beer that day, neo is smaller but i dont think you need to bother port matching, the head ports are just a bit larger than the runners.
  7. I doubt you could tell the difference between stock cams and the 256 poncams at idle or down low, I think the exhaust tone off mine was slightly deeper but still smooth.
  8. Yeah im not sure if its an issue or not, maybe the head can be port matched or just go the R34 manifold. You'll need top feed injectors and rail if going neo manifold, plus possibly an adaptor plate for the IAC ( i did), plus R33 throttle body needs modified.
  9. The runners on the R33 intake manifold are larger so would create a step, pretty sure the Gasket is identical on both heads though.
  10. Its very easy, find a running RB30 and do it, the guide makes it straight forward, will start mine soon hopefully, is from working RB30 so im confident..
  11. You could buy the RB25 bolt all the gear onto an RB30 bottom end, that would be best idea.
  12. I'm almost finnished mine too, hopefully add my results here also.
  13. Why not bolt everything onto an RB30 bottom end? Then add a hypergear turbo
  14. I have a Saab 9-3 with a 1.9Tid engine, it pulled a check engine light and so i took the EGR gear off and it was fully choked up with carbon/soot. I am going to block that off and run a DPF additive to the fuel as it currently has very little performance under 2000rpm, at 2000rpm it takes off but its annoying having that lag... Question, if i attach a water methanol kit just before the intake manifold, will that clean the intake manifold, engine and even the exhaust, will it clean the DPF even...and will it give me some low end performance assuming it should pull just off idle...????
  15. What about using some plastiguage to check clearance's of the old and the new etc.. once at that stage though the nissan has escaped and bit of a worry..
  16. so some good suuuutututuut!!! sounds good product
  17. My advice from engine builders was a set of performance valve springs and a general overhaul would be all thats needed which got, he was pretty much assuming the worst situations, which i reminded him it was only street car...
  18. A well setup boost controller like an apexi avcr can bring the boost on earlier and harder, my own experience but with RB.
  19. Have a look at GFB, lots of people using them.
  20. Exhaust is coming along, made sure there was no step downs like the Jap resonator that looked like 2inch in the middle t
  21. I was told by the engine builder/shop that reconditioned my neo head to use performance valve springs at a minimum with new retainers, said he's rebuild some engines cause the retainer cracked..
  22. How much can the "cup" joints flex/move ? Wondering if they could be used to help line up segments of the exhaust ( making home made exhaust here.. lol ) Anyone used this style flexi joint part?
  23. What size intercooler pipes? She's come together well since the early days, whats your power goal with the gtx35?
