  1. I might be wrong but when i was comparing headgaskets ( RB30,25 and 26)there was one that seemed thin around a water gallery, i'm going RB26 headgasket, it looked the best fit everywhere..
  2. pics of the R34?
  3. Looking heaps better i reckon, maybe needs work on the stance a little
  4. any updates on this? hows it going?
  5. So does it not make the top end run a bit dry when on idle and cruise considering stock is 2mm, in another thread someone mentioned after blanking the rear they developed a noise which might of been from it running a bit dry at the back, but im not sure that's enough evidence having only one person out of probably alot who havn't had issues.
  6. which one did you blank and is that with stock oil pump shimmed?
  7. Just a quick question, i have a neo head getting reconditioned at the machinist and bought some 260 9.15 tomei poncams to drop in, Initially was told as long as the springs are the same height when measured that they should be ok which ive been told they are, but now told that the retainers are a high risk piece that will likely crack and ill drop a valve, so i should replace the springs and retainers with quality stuff like supertech... this makes sense but plenty of unopened RB's around and usually its a blown ring landing i would of thought. Goal with build- area under curve 320ish, street car, 20psi max/ 14psi daily, 6500rpm limit, stock RB30 bottom So is all that true or just trying to work the bill up???
  8. Its a good looking wing, looks like a aircraft wing or somthing when you looking back from the drivers seat, thats big improvement on the reverse lights looks much sharper , i never even seen those lights til now..
  9. so apart from valve float, is there a notable performance difference between say a stock spring and a performance spring?
  10. Yeah i agree, they weren't really needed, but they help fatten up the curve. My goal is area under the curve and try to keep some top end which will probably fall off alot more with stock cams? Was reading Matt (34Geeteetee) and some others are using performance valve springs and retainers so ill just go with the same..
  11. Got the tomei cams and waiting on engine builder , was going to run the stock springs and retainers but he reckons go a set of supertech springs and retainers or equivalent which sounds good, but budget is getting blown away ... I'm waiting on a price from the builder for the springs, but i cant actually find anywhere that sells supertech for the neo, so might have to go some performance springs with titanium retainers... i thought the neo gear would of done this 300-350kw goal though... but he reckons he had to rebuild an RB25 recently due to a cracked stock retainer, but that cant be too common with guys on here running big numbers on stock engines but who am i to debate with the builder lol... open to opinions and advice here...
  12. At what point is it necessary to upgrade the cam bolts? will they be fine with say 260 poncams and stiffer springs?
  13. Meh... you guys can take Emma, id rather Rachel
  14. Shakira got a good rear end..
  15. so i just redrill the stock ones, is that what you mean?
  16. 1000cc injectors + E85 +retune
  17. Got some more gear, cams are due for delivery next week so the Machinist can finish off the head and i can bolt it down Does anyone know what engine mounts will work so i can close the bonnet, ( once its in there) so far ive read that VL engine mounts will do it...
  18. I've had alot of deliveries through Star Track, usually by same guy and never any stuff ups so far..
  19. I reckon check the valve clearances, sounds like the cam could be hitting the shim?
  20. Ford must of put some thought into runner lengths cause they have a variable runner length setup on the falcon, there's a row of butterfly's that when open make the runners longer and shorter when closed, all operated by a vacuum line,
  21. The intake mani is definitely smaller in port size, the head ports dont appear to be visually different in port size between the heads to me, could be wrong. Intake gasket matches R33 well but neo mani is smaller Same Gasket matches neo head well same as R33 and again closer look at the difference of gasket to neo intake mani, can see alot more meat around injector area
  22. call centers
  23. I did the interstate trip when looking for an R33, car was nothing like the pics and was a dissapointment but live and learn i guess, be prepared for alot of bullshit artists and test drive some cars with good power to compare ...
