Just a quick question, i have a neo head getting reconditioned at the machinist and bought some 260 9.15 tomei poncams to drop in,
Initially was told as long as the springs are the same height when measured that they should be ok which ive been told they are, but now told that the retainers are a high risk piece that will likely crack and ill drop a valve, so i should replace the springs and retainers with quality stuff like supertech... this makes sense but plenty of unopened RB's around and usually its a blown ring landing i would of thought.
Goal with build- area under curve 320ish, street car, 20psi max/ 14psi daily, 6500rpm limit, stock RB30 bottom
So is all that true or just trying to work the bill up???
