    Not sure if true, but ive heard that valve springs can be damaged if motor is flogged cold? I cant imagine a mechanic in Japan working for Mines, to say no no no, don't use tomei, use only supertech!! lol... just saying... Read it on Oztrack.com.au , there's other causes like bouncing off the limiter, overheating etc..

    I reckon anything Jap, 9 times out of 10 would have to be the best or close to it, they usually make/build as we know, great engines , so makes sense they will deliver an outstanding piston ( Tomei ) to put in there own designed/built engines..

    Some people hate imports and their drivers and try to do some kind of citizen policing? Sometimes in a 2 lane situation two cars will literally block me, even though im driving safe and doing nothing silly. I think the guy had an ego and he was trying to immaturely show he was in charge, they always speed up when overtaken, pretty immature...

    Theres a piston thread in the RB30 section, I think the wiseco are a good choice cause of tighter clearances possible but depends on power goals etc.. I chose to go with stock unopened bottom end cause its a pain and expensive to stuff around with engine builders that might stuff it up anyway... have faith in the OEM lol... nearly 30year old but yeah haha

    Seems obvious now, i was covering with layers of old shirts to keep dust out but ill do the oily rags and wrap now, cheers guys..

    Got the RB30 engine on the stand, noticed the bore has developed a golden tinge to it, so very light beginning of rust? I've oiled the bore and turned motor by hand, but obviously as the piston goes down it cleans the bore. I've squirted some lanolin on the bores and turnt by hand again... Should I worry about this or will the lanolin remain on the bore?

    I was comparing R33 S2 and R34 neo today, is it normal for the Neo intake runners to be smaller diameter than the ports in the Neo head???, so therefore giving it a step/ slight mismatch? The one with the blue on it is the R33 intake, looks like the area around the injector is different too, the R33 one is wider and more open..

    so it wouldn't be some kind of surge( fuel, oil) from accelerating so hard would it? cant remember what you did to it now... That would of sounded angry... take any vids??

    Does the crank have to come out to fit the collar as that would mean opening up my stock bottom end? Need opinons on whether to use stock RB25det S2 pump or leave the RB30 pump on, its only a streeter so no insane revs etc...

    I been there and done this long time ago, I paid $500 to have the IW modified and an XR6 flapper installed, still no change, then it was decided that the holes didn't line up and the flapper was hitting the flange and all sorts of backpressure... got an open mouth dump and all sorted... Just get an external and don't stuff around with it, its a waste of time and money...

    Falcon's are boats, the engines are like boat anchors, they simply arnt in the same category to the Jap cars.. the motor even looks crap.... Pull a 10sec quarter and you be like .. yay my boat pulled a 10!!

    Gavin woods at Labrador is a Nissan specialist with lots of experience, probably the most honest and genuine guy you'd want touching your RB26, he owns and drives a 33GTR that was used for Targa Tasmania, there's a lot of workshops in Brisbane that will rip you off big time, don't take the risk...

    Ive seen a Black 32GTR going around Jimboomba the last few weeks, looks very tough and squatting under acceleration, its a real head turner.. anyone seen it??

    Get E85, will be the best thing you'll ever do, makes it far safer and the motor will love it..
