  1. Stock RB30 is all you need, $300 and bolt a head on, $20k?? I hope its putting out 1000hp for that..
  2. It seems so much easier to just bolt a big single on with a 4inch dump and external, but I guess the twins have arguably more appeal when you open bonnet and similar to Twin scroll effect, have to wonder wether it be cheaper going single root over all the fancy dumps etc...
  3. https://youtu.be/zY13FltTn18 is on dyno, and https://youtu.be/2ZjV5Pb5ySc is on a quiet road, full 3 1/2 inch system off GT3076 and external plumb back, only one large muffler at rear... ( excuse the crappy footage and Tein coilover old couch sounds lol)
  4. Here's my exhaust pete, it is 3 1/2inch and ive been stopped a few times by popo and no issues at all, even my old man is ok in the passenger seat , that means something lol, stainless steel jap system with cat replaced with 100cell and rear muffler is X force, cost $800... without the rear muffler it was terrible, but with the big ass muffler on the back its fine, add another fat muffler in the middle and you'll wonder if the engines even running or not..
  5. Car's looking good, If your on a budget maybe just get it sounding good, can pick up a jap exhaust for couple hundred, make sure its jasma rated rear muffler to not draw attention from popo.. and can then just enjoy driving it instead of having car off road, mine been off road for over 12months...
  6. its always like that, it starts off being " just wanna keep this standard and enjoy it", later it be like " this is sooo slow, need to get me some powahhh's" lol My advice is to ditch the stock turbo asap.. having the stock turbo is like being on a date with a hot chick and you have to hold in farts all night, so strap a GT3076 on and release all that pressure
  7. Moving in slow steps... lol but now I have the major parts so now I just have to not f*&k it up Took more pics.. That's the exhaust I used before to get the 320kw with the 25, look like it would be loud but very acceptable, its 3 1/2inch all the way, will have a 4inch dump made with the external, should be pornographic, love stainless steel.. I got this Jap muffler off my bro, I wont use it but thought id show pics of its guts, its 3 1/2inch with 2 1/2inch restrictor?? It actually sounded very nice, id use it if I were only wanting sound and 200ish kw, great option for some people..
  8. Ok forget what I said before, lol.. its sorted now Bought off an SAU member , even built a mini crate for it, some good blokes on here
  9. I've got some RB25det ones but they are side feed
  10. I got some RB30e injectors off a known running engine if you interested...
  11. Just read the whole build thread, love the attention to detail you give each aspect, those coatings are porn, id get an extra piston done just to sit on my desk and admire ... lol
  12. I've seen that Mercury motorsport R34 in person, its driven daily and I doubt the cops would give it any attention due to sound outputs.. A lot of them are only noisy when at full throttle/revs, driven normal they are quiet enough, its pretty logical
  13. plenty of 8second VL turbo's on the youtube that are quiet enough, only noisy RB's seem to be ones without proper mufflers on this is daily driven 10second R34 that's quiet enough https://youtu.be/0OgaQleny1M
  14. It was in those red 20L fuel containers from supercheap, are you thinking the white cloudiness is from dissolved plastic ?
  15. put a baby seat in the back pete, you can use it to carry beer home and stuff so it still has a purpose lol.. a person with babies doesn't modify car cause that's not responsible works for me, I think
  16. I usually look to see what cars it is recommended for, Mobil says for GTR and is used as factory fill in many cars, part of me doubts whether penrite being Australian would have as much R & D as oils made in say Germany and Japan kind of like comparing an aussie product like a Falcon or a beer with other products from Germany or Japan,
  17. For a street engine, anything over 40w is probably just accelerating wear and tear, the thin oil will flow faster and absorb/transfer heat better leading to less wear and quicker up to temperature... 5-60 is thick when its cold, compare it to a 5-30, the whole number thing is confusing maybe it should of been rated like 30-5 and 60-5?? Even with the best oil though, you probably get oil being washed off the bore under rich running conditions, so I use Lucas UCL which hopefully sprays lube on the cylinder ( top fuel dragsters use it) and I started adding Zddp additive just to relieve my OCD thinking... but now i'll have to think of a 4th thing just to make it even cause 3 is bothering me now hahaha
  18. I had some ethanol stored in a plastic container for about 6months , opened several times to mix with some 98 and I found that it had turnt cloudy, I'm guessing it must of absorbed moisture from the air or maybe there was moisture in the 98 it was mixed with?
  19. Zebra is correct!!! change your dump pipe to an open mouthed one and problem solved... nothing wrong with gt3076's...the 0.82 internal gate has zero problems with boost creep, 0.63 can have some issues
  20. hey peter, do you know what compression the stroker kit turnt out to be? just curious if its over 9:1 or not...
  21. Be careful with getting engines cleaned, you can end up with more problems as clearances may increase eg. if the lifters are worn and their bore, cleaning them could potentially lead to noisy lifters as they start bleeding down.
  22. splitfire coilpacks too
