  1. Perfect package now, love it..
  2. she's a good driver.. lol at the chubby instructor chick haha
  3. why not ls1? twin gt3076's mmmm.. if the others cant see infront of their windscreen then how can they win?
  4. That was just to give an idea, it will get the drop in tomei cams down the track but when you have a good RB30 stock block and a neo head, what do you suggest to get every drop of torque under the curve from the block and head combo, so hence comp and quench area, im sure a lot of guys will be interested in this...
  5. Maybe this neo got forgies or something in Japan before it came here lol... its proper angry , should take my username, mine should be just mildlyAngryRB... :wacko:hahaha
  6. maybe I should be more specific, I want to get 10:1 compression ( 200plus psi on a comp test) or very close, what gasket and shaving is required ? pretty sure the 10.75:1 was from a 3.2 stroker 26/30..
  7. What would be the highest compression you can get with RB30 stock bottom end and a neo head? has anyone achieved 10:1 or higher with say a 0.8mm head gasket and shaving the head, how much can it be shaved? I wanna get the maximum out of the combo, as in area under curve for the street...
  8. this head is seriously in mint condition, cams have bathed in Mobil 1 and only done a few thousand km's, even the rocker covers are clean, check it out ... You don't need to mess with this head, its mint, bolt it down or swap the cams over.. its quality.. Cams only $450 firm whole head, cams and cas $600 Cas only $200
  9. So now that its a track car I wonder if a HTA35 is on the horizon
  10. Love those vids, the thing is bullet proof!!
  11. Quick question, do you guys always assemble the headgaskets dry or do you recommend some copper spray on the gasket in case there are imperfections? Mainly thinking about when using like a 0.8mm or 1mm, with a stock gasket id be assuming its less important...
  12. Looking heaps better now... what power you wanting to make? Can make well over 300kw's with OEM bolts and gaskets... looking forward to the vids...
  13. yeah that's it, best rear bumper in my opinion, it's on my long list of wants..
  14. I want this R33 GTR Do-Luck rear bumper, that's what on my brothers car, it continues underneath the body about a foot or more... gives it more depth at the rear.. http://www.japsalon.com/Frames/00_R33GTR.html
  15. not sure what look you going for but here's a pic of my brothers s1, I'd drop my s2 for it if he would sell it to me... came loaded with nismo gear from Japan, and mine had nothing, sorry pictures not the best..
  16. no worries im gonna use it for the RB3025 and see what it does, nice build, front spoiler looks good!
  17. Neo heads seem rare as hen's teeth, rang few wreckers and they wont separate the heads , so stuff paying $2K for the complete engine....and I don't want some neo head that's been out in the rain for 6months or is in pieces.. Need advice on how much I can shave the R33 without it getting silly ( hitting valves, ruining the quench zone etc), thinking of using a 40" ACL head gasket and hopefully nudge it up to 8.5-8.7 to 1???? I figure a stock NA VL goes alright, so with my head slapped on, a GT30 and E85 etc its got enough bolted on the make it a good setup... but if its going to have 120psi per cylinder then I need to rethink this...don't wanna be someone that come on with a "My RB3025 is making no power" kind of thread later on
  18. should of bought my head, already had cams in it , If I were you id slap the neo head on and add some water meth, would be very ballsy motor plus the cam has 8.5ish lift and zero hydraulic lifters to make noise later..
  19. Is there much difference between neo head compared to r33 head with tomei cams??? just weighing the cost savings as my head doesn't seem to be getting much interest at the moment so obtaining a neo head then a cas then rewiring it and getting it serviced starts to add up in cost when my R33 head is in perfect condition with tomei cams.... should I stick to getting neo head or will the R33 head just mean it can be tuned with more ignition timing??
  20. I had a bracket made to bolt the dump at bell housing, then at the gearbox mounts, not sure how long it would of lasted but looked legit...
  21. I wonder if its a "high torque cat" though, that may have been to complement the high torque starter motor....haha
  22. Yeah sorry, I was wondering if the stock cam gears and the belt you use were good enough to be just aligned or if that made the timing out a fair bit, iv'e seen on some other threads the use of a special guage to measure when the pistons at the TDC, interested to know what difference "dialing the cams in" makes on your motor, I havnet see the adjustable intake cam gear before.. cheers..
  23. Was just after a quick answer, i know what a tensioner is for, thanks for your wise answer, its an hour drive each way with an engine on the ute for me so id rather learn on here... from what ive read so far, the timing on an RB30DET can be tricky compared to a stock RB25, ill just line the marks up and let my tuner check and adjust it before its tuned then..
  24. haha... yeah that's my Black German Shepherd ( big boy), always seems to be in the pic's, he's a good sort, just don't try and open the front gate at night cause he gets pissed off and you wont see it coming haha... id feel sorry for who ever jumps the fence looking to touch the RB in the dark...
