  1. that's too cheap , bump it back up mate, that's ridiculously low price
  2. Not sure the OS exhaust valves and tomei cams will be helping much at this level, probably would of boosted early without that, if are after the GTRS comparison the 0.63 would surely be the choice unless your spending a lot of time over 6000rpm, getting caught up in trying to make a GT30 boost early is a loosing game, even with a TS manifold I saw Zero effects in boost reduction, it just is what it is, I think you have to live with it being a 4-7k turbo or try to increase the pressure with small housings or diameter runners on the manifold, the 2.5L just doesn't pump that well before 4k with a GT30.
  3. Don't sell it, I almost did but couldn't let it go, once its gone you'll see some skylines on the road or some R8's and miss the beast too much! don't go soft!
  4. I noticed that a united servo near me in south brissy just recently has dug up the ground and installed an E85 pump and has quite a few banners to advertise it. Seems odd to go to the trouble if E85 isn't viable in the future as a whole row of pumps were out of use while they installed the pump and tanks in the ground. Also, im very shitty about paying 95c/L for LPG, what a shit deal, makes LPG useless now, petrol came down after xmas but they kept the LPG up 20c higher.
  5. I'm interested in this too, was planning to take 2mm off the RB25DET head I have and bolt it down with a stock head gasket to get close to a 9.5ish to 1 comp. Does it really ruin the chamber shaving a couple of mm off or would it hardly be noticeable as spending $1300 on pistons is expensive.. I prefer the stock pistons with a 2thou clearance for quietness. Does anyone know how much clearance there is generally in this situation ?
  6. I've had a 6boost twin scroll and a stock manifold with a GT/GTX3076 setups on same tune and was running around 320-340kw, both felt the same on the street which was unexpected, the 6boost has larger and longer runners and collector which in comparison to a stock manifold might effect things negatively on a street car?? just my opinion
  7. Yeah I think the heat gets too much, there really thin and old, mine gave up after a few dyno runs of 320kw.. just got it home, turnt it off and she opened up.
  8. looks good mate, kind of looking like its had some steroids with the bonnet and the orange indicators gone.. can see the stock radiator giving in soon though..
  9. poor Bast#rd!! the whistle is awesome, get the cover and fill the streets with some RB 3076 whistle!!
  10. taking bets on gt35 housing.. lol did they say it came off there gt30 or they just had it randomly laying around?
  11. not having the anti-surge whistle is like having a GF with no boobs lol
  12. Whats the go with HPC? when I had my manifold and housing done I really couldn't tell the difference, I mean even if temps are down 1000c to 800c for example, its still bloody hot, retaining that extra heat might even cause the manifold to crack from the inside out?? Maybe on a track car it sounds plausible but on a street car things wouldn't get hot enough??
  13. looks like its been done before: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/389417-300kw-unopened-25-club/ not sure what size rear housing though, I think you'll notice the extra lag with the larger housing, I never had any decreased lag converting to E85. nice 33 by the way.
  14. I settled for a set of 34GTR rims OEM, 18x9 30offset and have 265/35's, I know there a bit soft but will do the job and let me have trouble free fitment on already rolled guards.. will look at trying to achieve zero camber on back for full traction...
  15. as a reference, Simon-14 used a 0.63 on his drift car early on and reused it on the 3L and said it was pretty savage with heaps of midrange torque, obviously it was choking it up top though but all depends on your usage. On the street, 0.63rear with E85 for me, cause 4000rpm is too late . For the price of the rear housing you could set it up and run E85 and love it.
  16. I got made a cuppa tea if that counts, lol.. a good tuner would of know a 0.63 can do way more than that and suggested testing it for leaks to start with instead of blaming it on the housing??
  17. Everyone's wise afterwards, the reason its fixed is because of DriftSquad doing a great job with diagnosing the leaks.. from what I read there wasn't many explanations except the housing was too small?? so if a tuner says a 0.63 GT3076 cant do more than 225kw, then yes ill try someone else thanks... Ive been thru probably 3-4 so called great tuners in Brisbane, some are highly regarded etc.. and one thing that remains clear is that if your not spending big $$$$ they simply don't give a sh#t..
  18. whats the widest tyre you can go for a 17x10 38offset on r33 with rolled guards, im after maximum traction..
  19. ouch... well to be fair why was the boost controller not used? just cause someone has a big reputation doesn't mean they'll work there ass off for everyone, just saying..
  20. Get a power FC and book it in with Gavin at Autotech, he knows an RB inside out and you can watch it on the dyno while he shows you whats happening with it.
  21. what about the effect of having a polished ported intake side, apparently this can be a bad thing and cause knock? "The carburetor or the fuel injectors spray fuel droplets into the air in the manifold. Due to electrostatic forces some of the fuel will form into pools along the walls of the manifold, or may converge into larger droplets in the air. Both actions are undesirable because they create inconsistencies in the air-fuel ratio. Turbulence in the intake causes forces of uneven proportions in varying vectors to be applied to the fuel, aiding in atomization. Better atomization allows for a more complete burn of all the fuel and helps reduce engine knock by enlarging the flame front. To achieve this turbulence it is a common practice to leave the surfaces of the intake and intake ports in the cylinder head rough and unpolished." picture of the droplets in my manifold i saw when removed
  22. Its been well proven, on 18psi it will/should push 270-280kw's, why couldn't the boost controller be used to make it hold 18? Did the tuner just do a casual job with it or are there reasons for the afr,14psi etc
  23. so if your on 19psi and hes on 14psi, what should he be making with average to slightly pulled back timing? 230-240kw?
  24. In his build thread , the pistons have a large flat dome with cut outs, isn't a stock piston a bowl shape?
