  1. not all 3076's get 300kw on 98, mine with gtx3076 0.83 external gate was limited to 278kw on 16psi, it just wouldn't take more timing so a 0.63 would of been even worse, mine would rise 10kw per 1psi, so with 18psi you might get 265kw which maybe quite normal.. mine was running 175psi each cylinder which I thought might of been the reason, run some E85 and you might find it will smash thru 310kw
  2. would the pistons having the valve cut outs have a tendency for hotspots combined with the comp ratio?
  3. 300hp is about 225kw on 14psi and its a 0.6rear, so really its not terrible, maybe the exhaust isn't flowing ( restrictor in muffler etc) so the timing was held back?
  4. how would 17x10 38 R with 265/40 17x9 22 F with 235/40 fit?? any scrub on cornering? would I have better handling and comfort over the bumps with this combo compared to 18x9.5 15 with 235s all round? I have rolled guards and want it to be flush or close to it.
  5. I had leaks in the manifold and the intercooler piping and the gauge didn't show any different, off boost it will stall easily, on boost it will feel laggy and black smoke .
  6. JJR dump big enough for 3582? Using a catch can or recirculating blow by? PCV valve stuck open? hot spots created by the shape of the pistons? loose the air box the cylinders 3 and 4 could be getting hit with oil leading to det? This case sounds similar to Hanaldo's issues with top end, both 34's too.
  7. What about the cooling system, if its the radiator that was on the car when the engine blew then could it be partially blocked and not flowing enough.. I know when mine was starting to overheat it would start pinging.
  8. Liking these rims, would 18*9.5 15offset be good with these or too much? want the back to be aggressive with a 235 with this wheel I think id be less likely to be pulled over, kind of looks quality over rota steroid look
  9. So $1090 is expensive for a set of 18s??
  10. Yeah they look pretty decent, only thing is the price tag
  11. How do you know your getting a good stock motor? do you do comp tests or pull it down to inspect or do you just bolt it together and up the boost til you get the numbers?
  12. R377- Yeah they do, good spot! only the AME isn't quite as aggressive looking to me as theres more dish and less spokes, on that silver r33 they look decent, and they are half the price I might add. so you guys really think the 18*9.5 15offset wont fit well? I used to have rota Grid 18*9.5 30 offset all round and I could fit my index finger under the rear arch, the front had even more room, 235/35 on front with camber on front
  13. my bro just upgraded to a SS2 hypergear and used to have a 2876 with 0.64 HKS rear, although most will say its a shit turbo, it went pretty hard from my experience, he ran it on 12psi and was doing consistent flat 13sec quarters with a HKS hi power silent exhaust, id estimate 230kw, started pulling at 3500rpm and got a bit crazy 6000-7000rpm, not great I know, but it was fun. It went harder than my 2871 hiflow in stock housings, suprising but was surging like crazy and eventually started smoking which led to the upgrade to SS2, with an antisurge comp housing I wondered wether it could of lasted longer but in comparison to a stock turbo I think it was a decent turbo but not ideal, just my observation.
  14. The first pic they come in 18*9.5 15offset the second pic , can only find 17*9 22 offset if you've seen simon's s14 drift car they look decent, not sure if the 17 would be aggressive enough.
  15. need opinons, which is best/most aggressive on series 2 skyline
  16. Thinking bout some Cosmis Racing wheels on the R33 GTST, rolled guards already and inner liners removed http://www.ebay.com/itm/Cosmis-Racing-MRII-Aluminum-Wheels-Rims-18x9-5-15mm-offset-5x114-HYPER-BLACK-/200953652670?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Wheels&vxp=mtr&hash=item2ec9c565be 18*9.5 15 with 245/35 rear and 235/35 fronts opinions on if it will fit and what colour would look good on a Silver R33 S2????? not sure I like the chromed look to much.
  17. how much too long are they? I made 1000cc xspurts fit with a top feed rail, had to shave the bottom of the plenum and reposition a large hose underneath, not easy but doable.
  18. Gate looks like its on a 90degree angle, probably why it didn't work.. if it were a half inch closer to the rocker cover it would of gave it the perfect entry to the gate..
  19. Does anyone run staggered wheel sizes? as in eg. 18*9.5 on the rear and 17*9 on the front? I'm assuming it wouldn't be too legal, but would it be that noticeable, as I think it kind of makes sense as porches and other super cars tend to have aggressive rear wheels on the back and wider tyres. opinions?
  20. with the above build would it be a good idea to shave the head inorder to increase the comp? 1mm?? how much piston to valve clearance is there usually?
  21. would it be easier to just cut and reweld the bracket that bolts to the mount and the block?
  22. the black 33 is looking sexy with those wheels, should of moved that red trolley out the way, oh and the white 34 is ok I guess
  23. dam sweet ride mate, ill keep my eye open for ya!!! bast@#ds!!
