  1. im confused now, surely if an engines running then its sucking air all the way from the intake valves to the air filter? when I sprayed carby on my intake silcon pipe just near the turbo I had a reaction just last week so if there wasn't a vacuum then how can you explain that reaction? although the EBC takes its reading from the manifold so that suggests its the best place to obtain a reading.
  2. pretty sure the intercooler hoses are under a vacuum, mine have sucked in there share of carby cleaner.. Id suggest some heavy duty clamps, mine have a habit of getting loose over time, b@#tards! If the engine sounds smooth and isn't stalling then id be checking exhaust side, all bolts on manifold, turbo and dump..
  3. This is great value.. any cheaper and ill return to stock and strap the TS on my au xr6.. hmm theres a thought..
  4. yeah the thing is I wanted the same dyno that I used for the GTX so I could have a direct comparison... hmm, well I may be hitting the drags Saturday night, lol.. wont expect anything spectacular with hard tein suspension and shit tyres but will be fun anyway, anything in the 13's ill take 34GeeTeeTee- when you going to get a time at the drags, see what the HTA can do
  5. cant be a series 2 plenum then cause its different to mine, I wonder if a series one plenum looks like that at all, must be for something that needs vacuum, not sure if R33's have ABS, just a random thought if that's related or not.
  6. I thought we were looking for milky residue..
  7. Mobil 1 seems compatible with E85, have had mine off road for months sitting in shed and never changed its colour etc..
  8. really? is this backyard tuners lol.. i called 3times over the last month and must be backed up with work.
  9. The boost guage uses one on the opposite side at the firewall, I have the fuel reg and the boost controller connected by a tee piece but that outlet in your pic is not on my series 2 plenum, looks like you have one extra outlet there.
  10. dam you HTA people .. lol but yeah that makes sense..
  11. its interesting how theres only 2mm difference between HTA and GT versions of the 3076, that's less than 5% which looking at the dyno graph it looks like 200rpm quicker on the boost curve which is 5% at 4000rpm, is this a coincidence? Anyone have the weights of the various comp wheels?
  12. $11500 as is with no rwc
  13. yeah your probably right, maybe I should keep it and track it for a few years ive started to get excited about an XR6 turbo or a VY ss to start modding.
  14. Tuner seems to be very busy thanks mate, yeah its a neat looking setup, its crying out to be put on a track, third gear is the fun gear lol
  15. I find it a bit confusing when people say that the dyno is different to how it behaves on the street, my experience with the GTX was that it was very similar to its dyno graph, I havnt had the TS GT3076 on a dyno yet but so far the STREET feel is not night and day compared with the GTX, so the change from GTX to GT compressor doesn't seem to back up what was said about response in my case... seems to me that all these turbo's have the same size hot side, a 60mm turbine that can only speed up so fast and the motor itself doesn't seem to be able to ingest and flow the gas quick enough when the revs are under 4000rpm, maybe other peoples setups are making the difference... In future id be trying the Hypergear route..
  16. Someones going to have fun when they buy this.. lots of giggles to be had, its been spinning up third gear with roll on's $3000 Twin Scroll setup is better than the other 300kw setups...will book it in for a dyno graph soon when tuner has time.
  17. just face the manifold and you can use some Hylomar for added insurance for leaks, and use correct sequence/torque on bolts
  18. yeah, doesn't mean its going to sell though.. thinking $500 for a dyno sheet might be better spent on the next vehicle, butt dyno says its 320kw's, it was breaking traction in third today which only happens when its over 300kw's and Power fc says less than 20knock, although a power run might be interesting for the record...
  19. haha.. all things come to an end.. the grey hairs coming through making me old lol
  20. R33 GTS-T for sale Have owned this car for 5years and done a fair bit of work to the car, Twin Scroll GT3037 with external Tial 44mm, 3 1/2inch system ( no droning) Power FC, 1000cc injectors, runs E85, NPC clutch etc Car has a good setup, response and well over 300kw's. Have a build thread showing more detail, AngryRB's StreetSweeper, also on carsales.com here https://member.carsalesnetwork.com.au/seller/myads Reason for selling- change of work and car spends most of its time in the garage so im after a more practical daily. Looking for $12500 Location: Sth Brissy 0466 257 118 Note- NO LOOKING FOR SWAPS OR LOW BALLERS
  21. Thanks, I think the build is pretty much finished, as far as I want to go with it anyway.. Actually considering selling the car and moving onto a different beast cause of work change and it mostly sits in the garage, may as well have a ute that can be used everyday...
  22. I just put in a tridon, does the job fine, holds low 80's and gets upto temp quick
  23. Its probably been discussed before but im wondering wether the runners should have a smaller diameter as the 6boost manifold seems a lot larger at the collector than the t3 exhaust housing, I removed a lot of material to port match the two and if its made for 400kw+ then its obviously not outmatching the turbo's size and potential..
  24. wolverine- when did your ts hit full boost? did you think it was much better than single scroll?
