  1. Id suggest testing for vacuum leaks and use a stock regulator..
  2. On mine i use a NPC heavy duty organic.
  3. I know, i have one in the r33 already ?
  4. Thats a nice sneaky left lane on the fly lol and no shortage of commondores in jimboomba, my neck of the woods ? Glad its all worked out for you ?

    ford

Could be the Crank angle sensor
  6. What fuse should or can you use with a walbro 416? Im on ethanol and tuner replaced the earth wire to get full voltage and a week later the 15A fuse blew. Should any other stock wiring be replaced ?
  7. I would use an engine flush then use a 10w-40 oil, i prefer 0w-40Mobil 1 but whatever. Maybe in your case i would do a oil change with some cheaper oil and then repeat flush and oil change after 2000kms to help flush the crap out. Then id disconnect all auxillary belts for a few brief start ups to help figure out the whining source. But from my own experience the OEM timing belt does have a slight whine to it, and hopefully you did the water pump and idle/tensioner bearings with the new belt and its all correctly tensioned.
  8. Yeah pretty much, i think quieter over all though, its classic HKS hi power silent with 80% of the drone gone. As the revs rise over 2500rpm, thing sounds like a jet taking off
  9. Depends what your doing with it, mines not corked at all, keeps making power past 7500rpm, its a street car and wont see a track to be flogged non stop, if its only street car then id rather it have more low end as id rarely hit 7500rpm on a local street.
  10. Not much update, but shes still alive.. Just doing maintainence and driving it when i can, theres plenty of tweaks needing done such as cam gear adjustments, boost controller doesnt work properly and cold start is rough. But all things considered its impressive the pull on 1bar from 3000rpm.. Will eventually get a go pro to demonstrate some pulls and drag times..
  11. Gt3076 0.82 on my 30, plenty big enough, could even go down to 0.63 as still takes some revs to wake up.
  12. Doesnt make sense all this expensive custom/varex stuff, i tell you weld a length of pipe into the system, just after t he rear diff, and plug the end, ill measure mine up to give you the length and weld the shit on... it is quiet enough, but youll still hear all RB on full throttle.. cost you $50
  13. Id be using a stock headgasket as they have more tolerance to the mating surfaces..
  14. I modded a loud ass hks system with a resonance pipe, got all the flow without the loud drone of a free flowing system Sounds awesome on boost and quiet .
  15. I used copper spray and have no leaks, make sure the halves are not warped.
  16. The r33 throttle body has to be modified as it is different as there a small vacuum channel/hole on the r33 that a neo throttle does not have. The area where the injector sits is larger in the r33.
  17. I would of thought the comp test would be higher? My last r33 motor had up to 170 in comp without any issues +1 for RB30 bottom for $200 , is too easy?
  18. She does not like it when it comes on full boost, but it helps reduce the amount of talking and it's a great distraction ? Then there's the usual, didn't you fill up only yesterday?" " I feel like you love the car more than me", etc etc
  19. Thanks mate, will see how that goes ..
  20. Looks like I need to get a wideband to shed some light on what's doing. How do I access the throttle enrichment part of pwr fc, I could screen shot it.
  21. Do a comp test to see how healthy it is, might have low comp on 1 cylinder.
  22. Anyone have a suggestion? Seems much worse when cold
  23. I'd recommend a gt3076 size turbo with stock mani and gate off rear housing and some 260 Tomei drop in cams which you can setup to sound lumpy by tuning it that way .. that clip sounds like straight pipes at the rear?
  24. Light throttle jerking issues Hey guys, had my RB3025 neo tuned and runs great except for on very light throttle where it starts jerking. I've had the tuner look at the low load points and says the pwr fc is old model and most likely the problem. I'm gonna have a road tune done also to try find out more but can anyone suggest anything else that can cause jerking. So some stairs of setup 2530neo, 3076, 44mm tial, z32 on 4inch pipe, gfb recirc BOV set soft, pwr fc, avcr, 1000cc experts, 416 walbro, stock reg, One thought was I had to weld up the r33 throttle vacuum hole as it wasn't compatible with the neo mani.. not sure how important that is..
