  1. get a gt3076 0.63external with a NPC organic and convert to ethanol or water/meth kit enjoy a very aggressive/responsive 400hp

  3. hmm fair point i guess, not asking for illegal video's just all legit dyno or other legal displays of RB goodness worth watching/analysing. if thread dies then so be it
  4. trying to find power etc in plugs is useless, its like putting a new air filter in a NA, hardly worth worrying bout, just get a 3076 and then you'll be on the right track.

  7. i listened to the last recording of it and it sounds normal to me, I have a brand new GTX3076 and it will whine on small throttle openings, sometimes just constant.. if you have ever been on a bus, you'll hear the same thing, i think it mentions something on the garrett website about these noises just being turbulence etc..
  8. dirty fuel filter? injectors? some bad fuel or water/crap in tank? old fuel pump?
  9. vacumn leaks can be worse when cars cold because its leaning out at the time it needs to be rich, check clamps and hoses and around intake manifold
  10. on the cheap this is what id do, buy secondhand gt30 and get a turbo shop make it fit into your exhaust housing, then get a safc and have it tuned upto 200ish kw or just checked on dyno for safety, run it on about 6-7psi turbo $800 plus $200 for machining dyno check $200? then later safc $300 and maybe find a wiring diagram or google how to fit it and tune it for $600 to get 240kw??
  11. this is a real eye opener thread, i wonder how many imports have been highly modified then striped and returned to stock, i have the auction papers for mine and kms arnt low anyway, but ive often wondered about the apexi boost controller that has been wired up to a switch to have some temporary high boost when the turbo would of been stock when imported, maybe it has double the km's and has been on a track

  13. looks like a good project, what turbo are you running and what are the power goals?
  14. would you even feel the difference of 11kw.. could of been some lower octane fuel or the dyno, hows the fuel pump? definitely need some turbo action to do that beast some justice. ive driven an NA that was much better than a twin turbo though so make sure its not clapped out.
  15. why would you gamble like that, last thing you want when your bouncing off the limiter is the worry of diluted ethanol keep it rich and smelling sweet i say
  16. is it really such a hassle, plenty of result for a gt30/gtx3076 can make 500hp, its only 375kw's so why not just put some forged pistons and a balanced bottem end in, and add the bolt on's? all items could be bought second hand in the classifields, job done
  17. im pretty sure this tuner is the one that told me i needed a surge tank and 2* 044pumps to run ethanol and make 300kw, so i never used them. How many tuners would even put the car on the dyno until it was atleast idling? from what ive seen its too expensive to have a car sitting and not being actually tuned.

  20. always seems to be some old V8 around, what tyres you using on the rear? would it smoke more if the tyre was soft compound, im trying to figure out how to make the most smoke when i do a burnout at the drags next, smoking out the spectators would be a awesome feat

I think you need to go to a specialist in race car prep , i know a guy in brissy who does it and last time the car was 100% better, i wouldnt be confident in the local pedders or whoever to do a good job.. even just by eye mine is driving straight and feels reasonable, just doesnt feel as sharp and settled like before..
  23. hey, just wondering if anyone has experience with nissan navara's, my brother has bought a 2008 D22 navara with the 2.5diesel turbo engine, only has 40k on it and seems to be noticably pouring out alot of black smoke even on light throttles asked my tuner about it and he says they are known to have faulty AFM's, its out of warranty so any opinions?? i have an r33 airflow i guess thats not compatible to try??
