  2. Do i need a lightened flywheel for 300kw's? is there a danger of the flywheel comming off? was just reading a thread about it..

  4. looks like its time for me to upgrade my exedy HD clutch, ive decided on the NPC 330kw rated organic I actually dont like the stock feel to these clutches, are there many options with how heavy the pedal is, eg. stock feel and heavy or very heavy etc.. What should i ask for ? i want some firm pressure in the pedal and it to bite when i pull the next gear ...
  5. me too, was given the choice.. but when its lumpy the engine sounds like it is half way between smooth and stalling, i think its done by leaning it a bit which i wasnt a fan of. I have the feeling that the cams might possibly even make the turbo a bit laggy on a mildly modifed 3071/76?

  7. i dont see the point in a gtx3071, the gtx3076 seems to respond just as good and makes more power from the dyno graphs ive compared and with less boost,( micko's compared to mine for example) im still thinking wether the 0.63 rear would of been the best option seeing my power goal was 300-320kw, the spooling and area under the curve may have been better and still had the top end, thats using E85..
  8. if this is a street car then you really wont have a need for all that power, id stick with 400hp and a 3076 on 18psi with a 0.63 external for good response along with a great suspension/tyre setup.. if going 450hp plus then id go forged pistons and run a gtx3076 0.82external on 25psi with support mods..
  9. id reface the manifold too while your at it, could ceramic coat it too.

Hey mat, where did all the dirt come from to block the injectors? thats pretty suprising, are those billet fuel filters any good, thought it would of prevented the injectors from getting blocked up, could of been a rebuild job? when i was watching my tuner install the pump, he mentioned that my tank was very clean inside, and that some cars that have been in floods in japan will have alot of shit in the tank, just wondering if your your tank is clean or will the dirt build up again.. what brand are your 275? what gear was traction breaking? im still tossing up over ku36, r1r's or RSR's
  11. thats alot of money for a highflow turbo isnt it?? would you be better off buying a garrett core like a 3071/76 and have your housing machined, bolts up and your have a quality core with steel wheels, later can just get the proper exhaust housing if you want more power.. probably be done for under $1400 , bolt it up and run 6psi.. and you'll be on full boost by about 2500rpm
  12. i used to run a highflow on my rb25 ( 2871, 56trim in stock housings ) , would pull hard at 2500rpm with a bar in at 3000rpm my avcr does a brilliant job of bring on the boost, get a good boost controller and pile on some duty early in the revs.
  13. a few minutes of insurance wont hurt it, i use mine when its cold too, set it to 3mins idle, what happens when the mechanic flogs it and then turns it off at the garage?
  14. yep they definitely lend themselves to that purpose, they love top end high boost and hit hard in the mid range

  16. looks great, great when everything goes to plan.. im interested to know the traction difference of going from the tein's to the BC coilovers, looks like you have kumho's on there too. im guessing it didnt squat much on the rear and the kumho's wouldnt grip?
  17. are the stock ones good enought for gt30's? must be alot of air to move for the blow off valve. when i back off the throttle im getting a quietish zututututu...

  21. im a bit confused watching those video's, how do those guys lift so much weight, they dont look big enough to do it, i was of the belief that muscle size directly related to how much you lift, not saying these guys are skinny or small , just saying they dont look anything close to a dorian yates or a Tommy platz in the hay days..

  24. ah i was going thru hanaldo's build thread and watching his video's and he was saying that he wasnt making enough power and even with extra boost it wasnt making more, probably wrong section
  25. looking at hanaldo's vids and dyno, wondering if its the turbo thats maxed out, cause with the garrett, well my one, seems to gain 10kw every 1psi, no dig just thinking or has it changed lately?
