  1. hard to believe a good resonator and muffler wouldnt sound good without the drone, but i dont have an na, i know when i had a hotdog resonator with a cannon my car was extremely droning, i mean you got a headache after 5minutes
  2. ive always hated it anyway.. its too light and soft, a short shifter kit and a heavy meaty clutch will make a world of difference..
  3. mine will sit on about 76 unless im in stop/start driving or highway with a/c on, definitely runs cooler after the transistion to eflex, although i have ceramic coated manifold and housing ..
  4. lol.. funny that, my clutch seems to be going too, sometimes it grips and just get wheels spin, other times it just feels like its not there, i think ill get my second gear some new syhchro's and bearing when the clutch gets done so will be much better..
  5. caltex has a good fuel station locator if anyone's interested, it shows your where the E85 is located in the country to plan your trips, i have 3 within 30mins and are usually on the way to my destinations how many kms are you guys getting to a tank, im getting about 300km with average driving, love the smell of it on a cold start..
  6. doesnt look like much of a resonator, looks no better than a straight piece of pipe, if it were me id have the big fat muffler on the back and an oval resonator, or id start there WMDC5 is probably right, theres alot of honda's that sound like that, a 2inch pipe size was probably better for the low power output too. GL
  7. whats the general turn around time from RHD? anyone know?
  8. i had that issue when changing over to ethanol and the cold start enrichment on the power fc had to be played around with , might be that because the car was colder than usual it needed a little bit more enrichment, you could try increasing the setting for 10degrees so it gets more fuel when really cold.
  9. are they hotdog resonators? thats odd because i have a 4L falcon with nothing but a large muffler on the back, and hardly any drone, sounds meaty actually. lol
  10. its the tiny muffler thats the issue, get a semi straight thru one, my system has a hotdog resonator and a big oval muffler, the muffler is what muffles the drone the most, get a muffler thats semi striaight thru, so it curves inside, that will forces the gases to be muffled but not restricted , then your drone will come down .. you need a either a large oval muffler or resonator .. police come straight after noisey cars..
  11. glad i have a stock manifold now, got pulled over by cops this morning and they had a good look under the bonnet, was shitting myself... an aftermarket manifold would not of helped.
  12. 320kw with 16psi here, 0.82
  13. if there is a leak at the flange of the dump due to wrong gasket or poor seal then you will hear some whistling more than usual
  14. mines fine with some copper plugs , heat range 7, and gapped to 0.8
  15. could mean extra lag if the pipes are too big???
  16. yeah i agree its all engine, need some more exhaust angryness... if thats a word..
  17. nothing wrong with a power fc, does the job well enough for a great price.. grab a VB and man up...
  18. has anyone seen or have the exhaust manifold off the "rocket industries" website? wonder if thats decent quality or not, seems cheap..
  19. when i was considering internal wastegate, im pretty sure MTQ said there was two different types of housing, one was suited to lower power and had a different size flapper, somthing to that effect.. dont know if thats your issue but could be.. i also recall Mafia mentioning about the different housings and the wastegates being different.
  20. GTX3076 with steel pipe and pod, incabin is a constant whistling/whining like a kettle that never stops boiling even off boost, a quiet air sucking noise, always hear stock turbo's doing that spooling noise, easy to pick them out.
  21. have you driven a 4puck clutch before? with 400hp the organic might be better for stop/go daily driving
  22. i thought it was the lengthening of the spring which made it lower, ( the collar lowers to the bottem of the shock) thats what happens on mine, when the spring is shortened the ride height goes up but then the ride becomes very springy.. is this not right?
  23. yeah i guess its not really worth doing then, i like the idea of having a cleaner smelling machine thats possibly a bit smoother and cleaner internally.. but i dont want to risk damaging it cause it runs well enough for my purposes.. its a 12hp b and s so upping compression would of also possibly given it an extra horse or two..if i was lucky..
  24. your profile pic comes from a gay version of ABC for kids
