  1. I dont have experience with many turbos, but judging by the dyno graphs the gtx's really need ethanol and boost to worthwhile id just copying mafia's build, with the gt3076 0.63 ( external better) and some water meth or ethanol.

  3. awesome rear pic of that GTR32, those guards are on steroids What tyres pressures are people running with these tyres, the tyre shop pumped them up to 35psi which feels terrible, so ive dropped them down to 28psi to get some comfort back, teins are just not meant for aussie roads......

  11. are ku36 the best of the kuhmo's? i need some really sticky tyres on the back, second gear refuses to hold traction... need somthing thats not noisy, thats become my pet hate..
  12. should probably clarify, thats 2 tyres not 4, they are on the front and replaced some shit "hero's" tyres , to me these tyres are awesome so far thanks for the tyre rotation tip GTSboy, want these to last a couple of years got them from bosman tyres company at archerfield, good service took me in straight away and only took 20mins and if your looking for fabrication shop theres one next door that ive heard does good work. to compare cost the kuhmo21's are 190each , the ku31's i think are double that price, so they will only go on the rear for traction.
  13. just bought some KU21's for my r33 235/40 r18's and payed $390 all up, what are peoples opinions on the ku21? how do they compare with the ku31? i know the ku21 can be rotated so i can make use of the whole tyre and not throw away when it gets camber wear.
  14. dont know what turbo you have but a smaller rear housing and upgrade to e flex would be alot more beneficial than cams i think, Im still not sure if the cams are a good thing for upto 300kw, could possibly create a bit of lag.. no arguments after 4000rpm though, on the streets where revs are usually below 4000rpm the cams might not be such a great thing
  15. i used to have a highflow with 2871core, you can have a r34 rear housing fit , or modified to accept the turbine wheel, then just boost it up, the silvia's use them alot on there 2L motors,

  20. maybe your stock turbo's wastgate has reached its limits , it might not be able to vent off any more at the top end so its spiking.. if this is true then your on the edge of needing a hiflow/turbo upgrade as a cheap alternative you could take the turbo off, remove the exhaust housing , take it to turbo shop and tell them to hone out the wastegate area and fit a larger flapper.. ( XR6 turbo flapper was used on my old turbo) then your boost should be whatever the spring is..

Looking at getting a ute, so looking for any interest in this for $13k Its had $10k of quality mods done in the last year, GTX3076 with 0.82rear, external gate with 44mm Tial, 3.5inch system ,100cell cat, oval 3inch muffler ( not too loud) Power fc with z32 and apexi boost controller Tomei cams 256's, FMIC 1000cc Xspurt injectors, turbosmart reg, 400lph pump GTR Dash with 110000k's, car has approximately 170000ks, uses no oil, has zero blow by, Has been tuned on Eflex fuel and made 320kw on 16psi, can easily put the 98 map back in , makes 280kw on 16psi on 98 Car is scary fast 0466 257 118 no swaps unless you have a VY series 2 SS ute with lowish km's

My GTX3076 would be right at home on a drift track, over 4000rpm is drifting territory, i light them up like a V8, on a straight road in second and also in third at times, so if your going round a corner then it will be too easy.. I dont know if you need the exhaust gear, theres plenty up top without one..and the meth probably not as good as the ethanol i use.

  24. ... dont stand too close when its being dynoed.. might get a killawasp literally come out the bonnet and hit you on the side of the head..
  25. If your down to 5-10L in the tank then the level of fuel would be an inch or so, not hard to work out that it might start sucking air in when the fuel washes about the tank
