For anyone interested, the 1000's are in and working, couple of extra things to mention are things like the spacers for the rail, relocating of the air vacumn pipe, some shaving of the manifold and if doing 1000's you have to fit the rail first then put the top part of manifold on last, this part took me ages, working under the manifold. While the manifold part is off may as well get a new gasket, i did cause mine was leaking, and when you do this tighten it back up the correct way, just like you do with the cylinder head , cams etc... its in the manual.. good luck.. first image just shows the relocated vacumn pipe at front and theres a coolant thingy on the corner that wont fit anymore cause the rails in the way this is how close the rail is to the manifold, this is where the bolt goes in the twin rail, i had it welded up and still needed to shave the manifold above it. clears it by maybe 2mm
  4. get some ID 1000's or 750's for $700 including postage from InjectorsOnline, you need a top rail though, Artz has the 750's, and i just did it with 1000's, far better injector from what ive heard , if you have time and some reasonable skill you can set them up yourself.
  5. the last time i had my injectors cleaned, the guy said if your not using them within a month they might sieze up, so after a few years they probably are...

  7. anything for the fuel system go to "InjectorsOnline.com" I bought a set of 1000cc injectors at a great price and great service..
  8. the 0.990 comes from the deadtime chart from Injectors Online where i bought them ....thats for 43.5psi and 14volts As far as i know from reading the forums, the standard latency is 0.7?? and your supposed to use this to calculate the adjusted latency based on the calculation new latency (0.990) minus 0.7 witch would be 0.2990... I tried this value and it was rough as guts, and i tried 0.990 and it was even worse, using the 0.990 from the injector chart as you have suggested drenched the plugs... im still thinking wether a vacumn leak is the course or this latency value...

  10. the tuner has emailed me that its the new latency - 0.7, originally with the nismo 555's it was 0.18 so your certain its just put the 0.99 in then? cause its either not right or theres a massive vacumn leak..

  12. have installed some 1000cc Xspurts and im confused about the settings, ive put in 37% correction, and the latency of the injectors is 0.990 at 14Volts and 43.5psi so does this mean its 0.7-0.990= -.299??? when i put that in the car wouldnt even fire, when i put in 0.18 or 0.30ms it fires and wont idle but very rough, when i tried 1.0ms it was quick to fire and did idle with some throttle but still jumpy and rough... need some help here. wondering wether theres a massive vacumn leak or if the settings are totally wrong..
  13. im about to try and start it, the rail sits about 1-2mm from the rail and its taken me a long time to put it together , had to romove that pipe under the plenum and the bolts on the engine side are an absolute bitch to get to.
  14. well i had the noise on boost, and the spray sucked in on idle, hmm it will only get sucked in on a vacumn the whistle is normal with turbo's i think depending on the turbo, but maybe you have a leak on the exhaust side as well? do you have the tags on the 4bolts that connect the turbo to the manifold? does the car idle smoothly? cause mine was a pig and wont start now , so im doing the gasket and im about to check if the manifold is warped a bit too..

  17. i have had a leak in the intake manifold, i found it by spraying all the gaskets with wd40, if its not leaking it just drips, if its leaking it sucks it in while idling, when its on boost, you'd need a dyno and that is when it will spray outwards ..... this is for the intake im talking.. and this info was given to me by DVS JEZ and im so greatful for his input cause i was confused bout it for months... again thanks mate...

Im fitting a top feed fuel rail and the only problem is there is a outlet from the intake manifold that a hose connects upto, its an r33 stock manifold and the outlet is underneath and between the throttle body and the aac inline with cylinder 5ish, this is in the way and running on the rail by a about 3mm. so ive dropped the manifold off at a fabrication shop to have it relocated.. the other end runs under the manifold and connect underneath and inline with about cylinder 2 what does this do and is it important??? Also on a separate issue, i had a large vacumn leak from the front of the manifold (top half part) , but the gasket is all in one piece and the bolts were not loose, it wouldnt be possible for the intake manifold to worp would it??? should i just put the new gasket on with some goo or do i need to give this more attention?

I know my nismo 555's were 62.5% and 0.18ms, so its probably close to this, subtract your .7 from the new latency, so it looks like it will be around 0.20 ish?? if your cranking for too long your plugs will get wet, just thought id mention, cause once there wet its not going to work even with the right settings..
  22. i have a second hand fujitsubo muffler if your interested, its 3 1/2inch with 2.5inch silencer, the guys at the exhaust shop were amazed at how quiet it was, has a nice muffled sound thats angy on full throttle.. the muffler in that pic looks bit small to be very quiet, looks almost like a cannon.
  23. are the engine mounts good and is the exhaust supported properly, the engine moves when your under that much load and also when your just driving from low speed, if your mounts or your exhaust are not solid then it might feel like a shuddering or like its hitting a wall.
  24. what you need is in that pic, the two bottem hoses, looks like you get a shop to press fit it on and make it up for you.
