Angryrb's Project Series 1
AngryRB replied to AngryRB's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
Been an awesome day, the tuner wasn't expecting me to drive it home so we went out for some very basic road tuning to make it drivable. She's running very rich, so can't put much boost in or it stutters but the thing is very lively, was pulling well without even any boost, gonna be a weapon when tuned. I pulled into a servo to fuel up and some old Indian women in the car opposite, her look was priceless, haha, so disgusted with the sound of the RB haha.. Mod plate and some more fabrications like flexible joint in dump and blow off valve recirc next then a road tune followed by a few runs on dyno to further fine tune things. -

I had the head welded to suit RB30 gasket, also VCT done, easy work for a fabricator -
25 head gasket seal onto rb30 block at water gallery

I had my fabricator weld some more material around there and skim the head for reassurance, you don't want it leaking later on. -

300 Plus from RB25 for street
AngryRB replied to discopotato03's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I had same setup with 256poncams and on 98 hit a wall at 280KW, since chopping up that exhaust I found a 2inch pipe inside the jap resonator, on E85 it still made 320kw on 16psi.. -

Yeah well was dropped off 2nd November and leading up to Xmas said was just snowed under with cars to fix etc, apparently was just a fuel pump to install and AFM at that time but that was around Xmas when we spoke about it. Why would they want to push a car in and out the workshop daily when it just needs a fuel pump and start it ?? -

Well no updates cause cars still sitting at tuners, considering taking it somewhere else. Anyone had good experiences with other shops around brissy such as Godzilla Motorsport or 101 Motorsport? -

I like the attention to detail , like the EGT probes etc.. looks awesome and great to see an older guy passionate about RB's.. -
Maybe check the fuel lines on the pump didnt get confused, not sure on skyline pump but happened to me on a falcon and the vapor line got confused with the return line. Long term result is now piston slap..

RB25DET Neo into a R33 Gtst with 33 box
AngryRB replied to BundyBear's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Yeah between the two halfs, and the top feed rail on a r33 job is pita so wasnt keen on that. Cars at tuner, not sure on the injector harness yet..- 12 replies

RB25DET Neo into a R33 Gtst with 33 box
AngryRB replied to BundyBear's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I used the R34 intake mani, had adaptor plate made for the iac stuff, throttle body vacumn channel welded up. Theres a vacumn line from underneath that needs an extra fitting tapped into the neo plenum. The top feed rail is obviously a bonus and the plenum gasket is better than the r33 one.- 12 replies

Rb25 Neo Into S2 R33 - Am I On The Right Track?
AngryRB replied to Akshunhiro's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Thats odd, cars at the tuners and apparently the r33 connector wont fit the r34 cas, unless there are different connectors but even on ebay and online stores all the connectors are referenced for 33, 34 silvia etc.. -

Can anyone confirm if the r33 CAS connector will fit the R34 CAS? -
Shoota's R33 GT-R RB30/26
AngryRB replied to Shoota_77's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
They mot quiet mufflers lol.. but sound tough though, my fabricator usually uses them on all his V8's and other exhuasts usually with mid mufflers though. I'll have an idea in few days as my 2530 has 1 magnaflow and large hks muffler right toward the rear.. -
RB25 Fuel and compressor surge issues.
AngryRB replied to Redknight's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
One thing to double check is the fuel lines, i'm not sure on the details but i have seen on a previous car when the lines got confused, the vapor line was hooked up to the return and the return on the vapor nipple... the two nipples were different size internally and the car sucked up raw fuel under vacumn and pumped out a shitload of fuel on load. Also, try Gavin Woods at Autotech, he knows RB's.- 12 replies

Angryrb's Project Series 1
AngryRB replied to AngryRB's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
Cars booked in next friday, goal for now is to get it started. Still have vct plug, cas plug, z32 plug to wire up, hopefully theres no issues. Predicting a fairly angry note of it ? -
I think adding upper cylinder lube (lucus) made more noticable differences then fuel brands on mine. I used half the bottle for dyno time.
