  1. Sounds like that thing has so much potential being 3L and can put twin garretts on it plus E85, too much temptation there lol
  2. so you think just see what happens? the tuner said the injectors are on 78% now with 285kw , so no way they are going to be ok with E85, so maybe your saying replace injectors and then use what i have with a NPC clutch and see? Another question, can i fill up with some E85 without flogging the car , with the purpose of cleaning carbon off the engine parts????? how long would it take and what %mix??? 20L in each tank for a few tanks??
  3. thanks mate, just the answer i was looking for.. all i can do is see what happens, i think its pretty good, so with E85 i should be happy i hope.. lol.. what pump should i do ? bosh 044 intank or a deatchworks 300L/ph?? im thinking deatchworks 1000cc injectors deatchworks 300L/ph pump and a NPC 300kwplus rated organic cluch, does this sound adequate????
  4. nah mate ive read that thread over and over, and i dont want some dirty V8 in my bonnet lol.... hahahah ok well according to tuner i have carbon build up, thats why it wouldnt accept more timing apparently?? and yeah it was disapointing that it didnt hit 300Kw on 18psi like in all the 300kw club did... So where does leave me?? hmm i dont wanna spend 5-10k or mess around much more, already spend over 5K already so im at the end of my $$$ spending pretty much, maybe i should of just bought a 2003 SS ute and enjoyed some tyre frying V8 but too late for that and im committed to my RB and love it, so ok with 2K budget and with goal of doing this around Xmas time i wanna try to make most of what i got, keep in mind stock motor and making it more aggressive... so far im accepting E85 is the way to go with 20psi plus to wake this thing up and get it a bit more pissed off lol... think ill try that and see what happens... if it can come up with 320kw and a meatier mid range ill hang my hat up at that and just enjoy the thing... dam wish id of gone 0.63 internal with E85 now but cant look back..
  5. why you selling? what kind of power will this support? E85 with 320kw plus???
  6. what about my stock bottem end? will that take over 320kws with E85? maybe i should stop with 320kw and try to build up the mid range with the E85? how long is a piece of string lol... can see this going to RB30 bottem end and 350kw plus over a long build up period lol... help me fry tyres lol hahaha
  7. some good ideas there, im not really mechanically minded to be the ginnea pig with water injection though, just want some strong results without guessing, experimenting, thanks for all the input people, so looks like i need a different tuner then and E85 with some decent boost, hmm, i was quite happy with how cautious my tuner was and how he explained everything , he let me watch the whole thing.... well atleast im getting closer to an answer to my problem here, one thing i like about this turbo is that it really seems to react to each psi increase very well, 15psi to 18psi felt huge on the road.
  8. yeah true buts its holding well at moment, so should i shoot higher then , like 340kw with E85 and get a better clutch you think, just work with what i got and boost it up??
  9. cause frying them feels good, lol but i get your point, 3rd pulls hard and is just about ready to get loose back there so im not complaining about that, the issue is its just 500rpm to 1000rpm too late to be exciting on the road, on a track it would be quite happy and probably perfect for a drift car where it spends alot of time on the top.
  10. these are the crappiest tyres i can get lol, at $120 each 245/40 R18's unless i go back to stock wheels where even a magna can fry them haha
  11. my tuner said theres still a bit too much varience in pump fuel unless i buy E85 in the 200L drums which is guarenteed 85%, but only thing with this is the constant cost of it, would i just have it tuned very conservatively incase it gets filled with say 70% at pump so theres no danger? the water/meth seems alot more simpler, just fill a small bottle up ... i know there is some fuel stations not far away with the E85 at the pump.. hmm, tell me what i should do to make this gtx3076 fry the tyres with ease, currently gets a bit loose at the back on 5000rpm, thats too long to wait, i want nasty wheel spin on 4000rpm... is this the point where i start building an RB30 bottem end?
  12. ok noted, if i wanted a much stronger mid range my answer is more a rear housing change? found thread, cheers
  13. is there a link to this? how long ago is it?
  14. i was reading it can be set up to the airflow meter , so it could come on even before boost, but even on 2000rpm its starting to boost so by 3000rpm or 3500rpm, would the boost be comming on harder and faster? its not so much how much boost by when, its also how fast it builds as well , so in that way could it get upto full boost faster ?
  15. Have searched and not found much, so im interested in going either E85 or water/meth to get my gtx3076 onto some higher boost, It seems the cost of both is about equal, so what is best? do they both have pretty much the same result? Im leaning toward the water/meth injection because of the ease and cost of filling up a small bottle with water and methanol but can this still be effective in bringing on boost earlier ( 500rpm)? My goal would be to keep the tune very safe on stock motor but to improve the area under the graph with as little hassles as possible, also to fry some tyres in second gear on 4000rpm
  16. is it hitting home though? where did you get the sensor? look on kudosmotorsport site and compare the ID to confirm.
  17. you might have the half moon 180degrees out, can you seen inside the cam gear part so that your lining it up properly, Does the cas feel like it hits home , if its quite loose feeling it might be broken inside, plugs will be getting wet too, but it should still start , try not to be cranking it for too long, it should turn over fast if its in the right spot.
  18. it really is tricky and be careful or you might end up breaking the cas like i did, double check the bracket itself is on properly with the two dowels lined up and going into the holes on the bracket, tighten every bolt gradually and equally, use the mark on the cas to line it up, you only need to use that black seal with the washers in it already, the one from the cover, and you should be right.
  19. same happened with my setup, i snapped the cam gear thing off, you just need to get the cams aligning with the marks, should be able to look in there with a torch and simply slide the cam angle sensor in where it would of match up and you'll be fine, the cas might need turnt one way more than before, so try again, you must of just put it in on the wrong angle which has made the timing wrong. make sure you space it right with the old seal from the cover.
  20. dont want to go off topic hear but why did you guys choose E85 over water/meth? wouldnt water/meth be more cost effective?
  21. yeah i think your right , seems to to boosting but not pulling as hard as when i drove it home from tuner , as soon as that meooow noise happens the power seems to disappear, got the shits with it now, will leave it till weekend, then go over the whole exhaust and intake bolts clamps etc, all i want is to fry some tyres in second lol not much to ask is it??? huh??
  22. i retightened the 17mm bolts holding the turbo on, still need to check manifold, is it possible it might be the stock blow off valve leaking or stuffed, could hear some flutter tonight, what about the throttle body gasket?
  23. ok i changed the duty on the boost controller, was testing it in 3rd gear, crusing on 3000rpm and then flooring it to 4000rpm, managed to get upto 1.1bar, i think this must be getting close to normal?
  24. if there is a lot of carbon build up,( stock computer with R&R for 170 000kms) then would this be enough that the timing had to be wound back say 2-3degrees? and would that mean less power and response in the whole rev range? cause that would make sense, but if others are making 300kw with 18psi how clean would there motors be?
  25. it would be 6600rpm, what springs would you use then? theres some big diameter springs and narrow ones in the box, i think theres only one in the tial, i didnt put them in myself but the tuner must of used one id say.
