  1. Yip - both the webpage and the PDF have been updated with the new info. Cheers, G
  2. I got a PM from user Koffi http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/me...ber.php?u=10896 Nigerian fraud type scam... Just thought you would like to delete this user or something. Cheers, G ---snip--- DEAR, I AM MR.KOFFI AHMED THE SON OF THE LATE SIERRA-LEONIAN BUSINESSMAN, LATE ALH.AHMED MUTENDE THE OWNER OF (UMS) MINING COMPANY IN SIERRA-LEONE, WHO DIED 7 MONTHS AGO WHEN THE REVOLUTIONARY UNITED FRONT REBELS (R.U.F)ATTACKED OUR RESIDENCE IN MAKENI COUNTY OF SIERRA-LEONE. FOLLOWING THE CURRENT CEASE FIRE AGREEMENT WHICH WAS REACHED WITH THE HELP OF UNITED NATION PEACE KEEPING TROOPS,I USED THE OPPOTURNITY TO LEAVE THE COUNTRY WITH A VERY IMPORTANT DOCUMENT OF (USD$21.3M)TWENTY ONE MILLION THREE HUNDRED THOUSAND U.S DOLLARS. THIS DOCUMENT IS A CERTIFICATE ISSUED TO MY LATE FATHER BY A SECURITY COMPANY IN LOME, THE CAPITAL CITY OF TOGO, IN MY NAME FOR THE DEPOSIT OF A BOX CONTAINING THE ABOVE FUND. BEFORE MY FATHER DIED HE INFORMED ME OF IT AND ASLO TOLD ME TO BE CAREFUL BECAUSE THE SECURITY COMPANY OFFICIALS ARE NOT AWARE THAT THE BOX IS CONTAING MONEY. ALTHOUGH THIS MONEY WAS REALISED FROM THE SALES OF GOLD AND DIAMOND BUT IT IS NOT IN DISPUT. NOW THAT I AM SEEKING ASYLUM IN LOME-TOGO AS A REFUGEE MY MAIN REASON OF CONTACTING YOU IS BECAUSE I RECEIVED A CALL FROM THE SECURITY COMPANY WARNING THAT I SHOULD MAKE HASTE TO DISLODGE THE BOX OR I LOOSE IT TO HIGH DUMURRAGE RATE WHICH HAS PILLED UP SINCE 7 MONTHS UP TILL DATE. THEY ADVISED THAT I SHOULD PRESENT THE CRTIFICATE AS THE NEXT OF KIN HENCE THE BOX IS DEPOSITED TO MY FAVOR, BUT CONSIDERING MY STATUS HERE AS A REFUGEE I NEED YOUR ASSISTANCE. I WANT TO PRESENTYOU TO THE SECURITY COMPANY AS THE BENEFICIARY, A FRIEND TO MY LATE FATHER. THEN AFTER RETRIEVING THE BOX FROM THE SECURITY COMPANY YOU WILL ASSIST ME MOVE THE MONEY TO YOUR COUNTRY. I ONLY WANT THIS DONE THIS WAY BECAUSE YOUR COUNTRY IS POLITICALLY SUITABLE FOR ANY PROFITABLE INVESTMENT, WHICH WILL EMPHASIZE THE UNIQUINES OF THE MONEY. HOWEVER I CONTACTED YOU BASED ON YOUR CAPABILITY AND VAST KNOWLEDGE ON INTERNATIONAL COMMERCIAL INVESTMENT. MY AIM OF CONTACTING YOU IS PRECISELY FOR YOU TO ASSIST ME IN THE FOLLOWING WAYS:- (1) TO HELP ME STAND AS THE BENEFICIARY. (2) TO HELP ME TRANSFER THE MONEY TO YOUR COUNTRY. FOR YOUR ASSISTANCE AND CO-OPERATION I AM WILLING TO GIVE YOU 25 %OF THE TOTAL SUM REALISED AFTER THE SUCESSFULL UPLIFT OF THIS FUND TO YOUR COUNTRY. AWAITING TO HEAR FROM YOU SOON. SINCERELY, MR.KOFFI AHMED CONTACTS THROUGH THIS MAIL;- [email protected] ---snip---
  3. Moi It can be downloaded from http://www.overflow.250x.com/_framed/250x/...elimitshort.htm The Bathurst GT-R content is included, though not totally up-to-date. The Obakemono Downunder (the Aussie GT-R racing history) is also available in full online: http://www.overflow.250x.com/_framed/250x/...0Downunder.html The content is more up to date, with a few spelling corrections and a few small additions. Cheers, G
  4. Ok bein' a kiwi and all, thought I'd do a traffic count on the way home from work tonight. I work in the CBD of Auckland which has just on 1 million people (about the same population as Hawthorne?) On the 35km drive home from the CBD to my rural home, I saw 12 Skylines and 1 Stagea. 3 were R33, the rest R32. On my last business trip to Melbourne (March 2003) I saw 3 or 4 Skylines during the whole 3 days (I was in the CBD only...) I'm sure there are heaps more than that around. The other thing to take into consideration is that we have had high volumes of imports for quite a few years so there is many different flavours of Japanese performance cars around. Once upon a time every second car was a Legacy with a BOV, then it was WRXs, GSRs etc. Cheers, G
  5. My 25T has just clicked up 118K. My R32 gtst before that got to 125k before I traded it, still going at 150k according to the current owner. My sisters Rb20e Cefero is now up to 220k and still going strong, starts first time every time and runs smooth as when she got it at 70K. G
  6. I work in the book industry - I couldn't really afford to do it in print properly. Changing the page size to A5 would make it around 60 pages with no pictures, so padding it out with extra stuff would make it a slim paperback. I'm still working on the early years 1984-1989 so the page count will go up a fair bit once I finish that section. I'm a fan of PDF distribution for it, that way people can read it on either paper or screen in a consistant format. Cheers, G
  7. 'The Rise and Fall of Peter Brock' by Bill Tuckey is a interesting read - it came out when he was in the middle of the bust up with Holden in '86 - '87. The author who wrote it seemed to have an axe to grind with Brock, but it is well written and interesting. Second hand book shops only for this one! Cheers, G
  8. They are good fun - I owned one for a couple of years - sold it onto someone else (they lunched 2 engines attempting to get the perfect launch!) G
  9. The Sierra's had plenty of power but they didn't have that much in race trim. They may have been able to pull that using 3 bar in qualifying trim on the special fuels during 1987-1989 before CAMS moved to pump fuel. From memory the Sierras ran around 530-550 hp. Cheers, G
  10. I've started working on the years 1984-1990 for the other Skylines; DR30 and GTS-R. They did some interesting things back then. Cheers, G
  11. The purpose of posting the dyno plot was to illustrate the ECU learning ability. My car did have a power delivery problem - earlier in the thread I said it had a boost problem, plus it's an auto and gives a somewhat messy change to 3rd during the run. There had been a fair amount of discussion on the forums about the ECUs learning ability, so I asked the guys at the workshop specifically for a before and after plot of the reset. After that they then went on and found there was something wrong with the factory boost controller. Of course I could have been lead up the garden path, as the guy in the workshop had partisipated in the forum discussion on resetting ECUs...who knows? No worries - it's one of the great things about the internet, in that it allows people to exchange ideas and express differing opinions. (Except for hi-fi forums where if you can't hear the difference between a jug cord and a $500 power cable you are branded an amateur!) Cheers, G
  12. Hi, in the first chart I posted the plugs were new items gapped and installed about 5 minutes before the run. The second chart has a 'before' run, and that dyno session didn't involve any plug changes. As far as I know the ingition timing is the only thing to be remapped. The oxygen sensor used in the Skylines is narrow band and not suitable to be used for any learning functions. The ignition timing could be retarded in a ECU for a number of reasons - a tank of bad or low octane fuel, a drive involving high ambient temperatures and loads, someone hitting the block with a spanner while the engine is running....etc. So I'll stick to my recomendation that a ECU reset can have good results. Cheers, G
  13. Shore thing - I'll attach a copy - though this one is a bit harder to read. The black line is the initial run before the reset. As you can see, there was a fairly large power loss just over 100 kph on the initial run. Post reset the red pen was used for 2 runs, and there is more power after 100 kph, then a green pen for another run. I'll insert a disclaimer - my R33 wasn't a happy car when I first got it. It was only making a max of 5psi with everything stock. This is why I took it to a workshop with a dyno to see if they could help me out. After this dyno chart, the stock controller was binned and a Turbosmart 2 stage was installed - much better! Cheers, G
  14. AFAIK the ECU reset does change the ignition timing - advancing until the knock sensor cries 'enough' then retarding. It does this in progressivly smaller and smaller increments. Here is a chart of my ECU being reset on a dyno (red line is the initial run straight after the reset, black line is a second or third run): Cheers, G
