    yeah mine gets a lot louder when the a/c is on, but that is almost always when it is a hot day

    yeah replaced waterpump 25,000km ago. the fan does drain a lot of power, considering thermo fans

    on a hot day i have this problem - i thought it was normal. ie engine hotter, fan needs to spin faster to give more cooling??

    Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I put in the battery I got through wrxhoon for $140 (equivalent to an Odyssey 1200). The engine cranks over much more quickky and I had no troubles starting the engine all weekend on a trip to phillip island, where the engine was probably the hottest it has ever been thanks to the 40+ degree temperatures. Problem solved!
