  1. wouldn't grease attract dust and dirt which would stick to it? i suppose it only sticks to the outside layer, leaving the grease around the bushes nice and clean
  2. This is what I have on my rear ARC swaybar - is there an easy way to protect them from the dust dirt etc?
  3. sounds great what sort of shocks do you have now?
  4. could be interested what are the specs of the jack stands? what is the lowest they go to? thanks
  5. lol on saturday the exact same thing happened to me at a servo. ended up roll starting, although there was only just enough room. i've ordered a new battery through wrxhoon's group buy so hopefully that will solve it. if not, i'll get a new starter motor.
  6. Here's my situation: 1. My car heats up, by driving 2. I turn off the car 3. I try to start it 4. Starter motor doesn't work (sounds like battery is dead) Complicating factors: 1. If I jump start it when this happens, it starts perfectly 2. Starter motor works perfectly when cold 3. My battery is otherwise very healthy - can run everything else fine when engine not running. So, anyone else experienced this? Or have any solutions? My current theory is that a hot starter motor is harder to turn over than a cold one, and my current battery doesn't have enough oomph left in it to do this. Thanks Greg
  7. put me down for one. i'm in melbourne though so will require postage. thanks!
  8. garage-13 - still interested in those rims. bump
  9. DON'T TOUCH IT you can get a lot better n/a R33's for that money. it might take a bit of patience to wait for a good one to turn up, but it will be well worth it.
  10. yeah the one that i have is part of the strut brace, very neat. the stopper uses holes that are already there (for the R33 at least) - they normally have plastic covers over them standard. the reason i ask this question is after using the stopper for the past year, i noticed on perfectrun.com.au that for some cars they say "OK FOR ABS FITTED MODELS" but for skylines they have no comment.
  11. I'm currently using a brake master cylinder stopper and by car has ABS. Is there any reason I should not be doing this?
  12. correct - stock exhaust was/is crush bent. will be interested to hear about your experience building the RB30DE
  13. lol fair enough, i thought it might be a more unusual method since you didnt actually mention it was a turbo.
  14. out of curiosity, what is your method of producing the positive pressure?
  15. thanks for the replies everyone - i think i'll get them any other opinions would be appreciated though
  16. Hi all, I am considering getting some new wheels which will sit inside the guards a bit compared to my current rims (about 1cm extra inside). I believe this will reduce the track of each axle, but how does track affect handling? i believe it affects body roll. is the difference only theoretical or will it actually be noticed Thanks Greg
  17. sorry they're really nice rims but a bit out of my price range at this point in time bump!
  18. no worries MintR33 nissanboys13 - i like them! please post or pm me the detatils of them. eg what brand, tyres (brand and how much tread), width of wheels & offset. are you in melbourne?
  19. thanks but they must be 4 stud
  20. still taking up space, need to clear
  21. bump
  22. X-force make some ok mufflers. you can't beat jap for quality though imo. Either way, make sure you get at least 1 resonator in your exhaust system.
  23. I filled up with Optimax Extreme today, and did not have any problems at all so far. My engine is a RB25DE with stock ecu. I find it smoother, better throttle response and im able to move up the rpm range with lesser effort on the part of my foot. No knocking so far.
