  2. thanks for the reply. if you could be bothred taking a few pics showing the damage it would help me to decide if i want it, its hard to buy a wreck without seeing the extent of the damage first hand.
  3. you say no shocks...what about other suspension components? eg control arms, swaybars etc what colour is it? is the shell damaged? what condition are the quarter panels in? are both doors included? 8. I'm changing my gf's coolant this weekend. It's very rusty and sludgy so I got a bottle of radiator cleaner. You add it to the coolant, run engine for 20 min, drain the coolant and then it says to flush the system. How do I flush the coolant system? I've been reading that reverse flushing the system is the way to go - so do i just stick the hose up the drain plug and crank up the pressure or what? Thanks guys Greg

  12. Yes. You shorten the rods to pull the wheel closer to the front of the guard. I did this myself - i set it to 9.5 degrees then I got a proper wheel alignment and set it at 8. SK or others - is there such thing as too much castor? the whiteline website says not, but surely there must be some trade off, even if it is only tyre wear? thanks
  13. 400r bumper being fitted + painted etc. - $400 400r sideskirts to be fitted painted etc. - $350 Rear pods to be fitted+ painted etc. - $200 Rear quarter panel being fixed (Backed into a fence) - $1500 depending on whether glass is taken out etc Those are estimates based on my experience with reputable panel beaters Once all of that work is done I would pay $17-20k for your car
  14. get adjustable rods that eliminate the bush i changed from broken stock rubber bushes to offset polyurethane from pedders. comfort deteriorated considerably. then i fitted adjustable rods that eliminated the bush entirely - sounds like it would be harsh but it was actually marginally more comfortable than the polyurethane. hope this helps
  15. hey shane, would sending the swaybars to melbourne be too much hassle for you? cheers greg
  16. Well the drop kicks who fitted my extractors did a sloppy job, leaving bits of the old gasket underneath the new gasket they fitted, and a leak has developed. I'm going to do it myself this time (the only way you can be sure it's done right). I got a tube of exhaust sealer to put on the new gasket to ensure a perfect seal. Is there anything special I should know before I do this or any tips on how not to snap a stud? Cheers Greg

  19. try this: jack the front of car up. turn car on but dont start it. turn the wheel lock to lock a few times. this made my steering a lot better. alternatively, you can do it not jacked up, this doesn't work as well though in my experience.
