  1. ok guys the R33 GTR rear swaybar fits (i just put one in) and is a great improvement over the stock one. make sure you get new bushes from nissan to fit the bigger swaybar, i did it the hard way and spent about 2 hours expanding my stock bushes with a knife haven't fitted the front yet, thinking about selling it and getting an adjustable bar instead.
  2. interested in volks if you can organise freight to melbourne?
  3. I got pedders castor bushes and the ride quality did deteriorate a fair bit. I just put in adjustable castor rods, which eliminate the bush altogether, and the ride actually improved!
  4. I fitted the GTR swaybar. Noticeably less body roll, especially at the back. For the price I'm very happy.
  5. i've got stabiliser bars front and rear, i also had the variable capacity muffler thing, where it opens a flap (i assume thats what ur talking about) but its much better to replace it with a proper exhaust system!
  6. i'm getting them pretty cheap....just want to make sure that they fit!! i may go for the whitelines though...can be by christmas present to myself
  7. Hi Guys, Firstly, do GTR swaybars fit a GTS? Are new mounts required if they don't come with the GTR bar? If so could whiteline ones be used? Thanks for ur help Greg ps to clarify, i'm NOT talking about strut braces
  8. what size sway bar do they take?
  9. how much are you after? are they that much of an improvement over stock GTS swaybars?
  10. thats a fair price, your car is in good nick i'll buy your buddy clubs
  11. i used to have that sound (more like money in a tin for for me!) it turned out to be spit from welding the flange onto my extractors - dodgy exhuast place just left it in there. i just unbolted cat and vacuumed it out!
  12. 2.25 or 2.5" - make sure you get at least one resonator in the system or it will drone.
  13. hicas is the cause - i started having the exact same problem after i fitted a lock bar. nice wheels btw
  14. well you can buy mine - make an offer! alternatively you can buy them from nissan new
  15. fair enough, you have a pretty solid argument. i'm going to race a ca18det silvia and report back and yes i am biased so i will defend my motor: as i said, it has linear delivery, power doesn't suddenly kick in at certain revs. theoretically this should allow a better launch. anyway they're both great cars and i know which i'd prefer for a drift car (sil obviously)
  16. Just because its turbo doesn't magically mean that it is a faster car. The RB25DE has 700cc more displacement, 20kw more power, 5nm more torque, and the sky doesn't weigh THAT much more than the sil. Therefore it has the potential to beat the CA18DET silvia. The linear power delivery from the RB25DE also gives it an advantage. remind me who wasn't very bright and needs to wake up? Stock for stock I'd place a bet that they're fairly even. ps. i thought about the torque band a turbo would give you as you suggested, and then decided that it was crap.
  17. lol thats a fair call. its too big to post up, i'll take a new shorter clip and post it up
  18. we're talking non turbo you fool
  19. i;ve got a rust bubble on each of my doors in exactly the same spot
  20. cecam, what is the difference in the front suspension between SI and SII?
  21. there is a ute around my area with HKS, Trust, Greddy stickers etc. I asked him once "what HKS parts do you have?" he's like "what's HKS?"
  22. hey ben, it's pretty easy mate took me about 40 min, and that included doing a wheel alignment afterwards! saves about 4 kg from memory, i posted it somewhere. my steering is heavier at low speeds though. you can snip a wire to disable the light. Cheers Greg
  23. or, use your top end to build an RB30DET
