  1. i'll take the 17" wheels. check pm.
  2. interested with cash waiting as was mentioned above, when the copies are made, would it be possible to get a hole moulded into the spoiler for our existing spoiler brake light to go into?? i wouldn't mind paying a bit extra if we can get this done.
  3. check the faq/tutorial section for a post i made on changing rear shocks. its exactly the same for the fronts.
  4. yep lets have a pre meet and cruise to albert park as one
  5. sounds like a lower control arm bent on the rear end?
  6. regardless of what power you are making, you will still achieve the same speed in each gear at a specific rpm. power will just determine how long it takes to get there. correct me if i'm wrong. I'm lacking power recently as well - the engine feels really choked up or something.... anyone else having similar problems?
  7. i've stopped reading all of the "automotive" forums
  8. if your shocks are seized, like mine were, when you "bounce" them, it feels rock hard and doesn't keep bouncing at all. but when i pulled them out it was clear that they were stuffed. now the rear end feels much better with bilsteins. try running hicas diagnostics first though
  9. I'll take them if you're willing to send to Melbourne
  10. Here is the pic I said I'd take. They are definitely the lowest point of my car, but i've never scraped (yet)
  11. No you have misunderstood, sorry. Since your car did not have skirts from the factory it doesn't have the holes to clip onto. You need to drill these holes and put a plug into the holes, which a clip will then clip into. The alternative is to glue them, and not drill any holes, which is easier
  12. Yes. That would be really useful. Thanks for your offer
  13. Rob, From the factory they attach with a series of clips into the door sill and 2 screws at either and. I was in the same position as you, car had no skirts when I imported. I glued my skirts along the door sill (its easier, less fiddly and just as strong) and screwed at either end. Hope this helps
  14. exactly! that's why the coby's are so attractive, in my opinion
  15. check the FAQ for n/a thread. its the first thread in the n/a forums. it has all the information you have asked about.
  16. www.takakaira.com they're about $2500 though
  17. too many forums. my suggestion is to rename what was previously "general automotive discussion" to "skyline related discussion", and then have just one new forum for all other imports.
  18. PartsCo are the way to go. You pay New Zealand price, so save a bit of money as well. If you can be bothered, I recommend stripping the paint and then either wrapping them in exhaust wrap or painting them with a suitable high temperature paint. My car is stock ride height and I've never had a problem with scraping. I'll take a pic to show you how low they hang, if you'd like! Cheers Greg
  19. Hi Guys, Yes the Coby extractors are "dodgy", but they are good value for money. They're cheap - not a lot of engineering could have gone into them. However, we know they smooth the power and torque curves of the engine, improving drivability. The engine feels a LOT more torquey at lower revs and pulls well from about 2500rpm. For me it was so noticable that on roads I drive regularly I could use 5th where before I had to use 4th. So while they are definitely not optimal from a performance point of view (as dondesoto showed us), I reckon they do a great job for the money. Cheers, Greg
  20. ask $16000 expect to get about $15000 max. unfortunately there just isnt much demand for quality non turbo r33's because generally buyers want them because they're cheap. for the price of a good non turbo r33 you can almost get a poor turbo example, so not many people want them. interested to know how much the gearbox rebuild cost, roughly?? thanks mate greg
  21. thanks for the reply. I connected the wires back up and it improved, but it is still intermittently heavy. I now think the problem is hicas unrelated - maybe power steering pump or something. cheers greg
  22. Rob, I'm in Melbourne and have some white skirts. I know that's not what you're after but just keep it in mind if you need them urgently. Cheers Greg
  23. Chris, pics can be found here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ad.php?p=932876 cheers mate
  24. yeah i've got oxidisation all over my rocker covers, would be interested in any product that can remove it
