  1. darrin, i got the pods - thanks for that. one has a little crack in it but it should be ok. i'm interested in the side skirts for $250 if you pay postage and you can get them to me before monday, because that is when my car goes in for work. i know its pretty unlikely....
  2. can't hurt could be used a theft deterrent as well
  3. yeah i know what you mean, if you thrash it at least its yours and you pay for any damage you cause. a stranger thrashing it could cause problems to emerge 6 months later. even if things went wrong while they were driving it it would be impossible to prove that it was not caused by previous stress. i'll try pulling the plug in a few hours....need to study now
  4. hey shane, i assume its exactly the same as that pic and doesn't include a brake light?
  5. They will need to move it around in their workshop but shouldn't need to drive it anywhere else. If they do they'll probably think they stuffed something up, then I can play along with it, make them feel really bad, and get a discount (just kidding) Thanks for the reply
  6. I got a R33 engine service manual, but it doesn't cover anything to do with clutch/gearbox/tailshaft/diff - is this covererd in a separate manual?
  7. To stop the panel beaters thrashing my car, I was thinking of disconnecting the AFM plug. I read that this forces the ECU into 'limp home mode' so it won't rev above 2000rpm - perfect for moving the car around their workshop but nowhere else. Will disconnecting it cause any damage to my engine? Thanks Greg
  8. I suffer "driveline backlash" - when I push the clutch in suddenly - eg i was reversing out of a carpark and someone ran behind me - i get a loud clunking sort of noise. It feels painful for the driveline, what is suffering? Uni joints, diff?
  9. I always use 98 ron just for the peace of mind, and in my opinion the car runs a lot smoother on 98 than premium (95). Once I added octane boost to 98ron fuel and it ran smoother again. They are tuned for 100+ron fuel so you might as well get as close to that as you can. Sure its probably not necessary, but why skimp? Asuming you save 5c per litre by getting premium instead of 98, this is only a saving of $3 per tank - which is hardly significant. Cheers Greg
  10. What is the neutral sensor - i got this code?
  11. haha gatty got any pics of your wheels yet?
  12. how much do they lower the car by (from standard)?
  13. Greg

    GTS-t Decal

you can get them from nissan...but funky's plan sounds a lot cheaper and probably just as good
  14. i'd pay $5
  15. thanks for the reply power steering fluid is just under max line, but it hasn't been changed for 2 years so i'll try changing it. i got an alignment straight after fitting it so thats not it.
  16. here you go http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ight=fyi+clutch
  17. i fitted one of geoff's lock bars (i recommend it) but now my steering is heavy at low speeds - any ideas why? previously i had the tomei hicas lock kit. this included a computer unit that u wired into the hicas computer, but i removed this and this is when the problems started.... so everyone else with the lock bar has perfect steering?
  18. sorry man dont know.... but if you end up selling the wheels consider me first in line to buy them
  19. petrol: optimax/synergy 8000/bp ultimate sorry don't know anything about r34s
  20. Prakesh, that looks like a useless reply in itself to me. Good thread though, I was after this info. Thanks.
  21. bought it with 30,000km now has about 50,000km. replaced castor bushes, rear shocks
  22. Thanks for your reply. At first I disconnected the hicas computer altogether and this resulted in the loss of power steering you describe. So I connected the computer back up and got power steering back except occasionally it goes heavy on me again, as I described in my first post. The control module has only one plug but two clearly separate inputs/outputs. The shape of the plug: __________________ |0000 ::::::::::::::::::::| |0000 ::::::::::::::::::::| ----------------------------- P.Steer/////HICAS So you have no choice but to have both powersteering and hicas connected. Hmm I might try changing my power steering fluid, see if that makes a difference.
  23. I fitted a hicas lock bar. Ever since then my steering has been a bit heavy at low speed, especially when doing u turns, 3pt turns etc. (ie full lock manouvers) Has anyone else who has fitted a hicas lock bar experienced this? If so how did you fix it? Or is it just a coincidence and my power steering pump or something is on its way out? Thanks for your help -Greg
  24. check pm! i'll take the side skirts, rear pods, rear bumper and possibly indicators thanks man cheers greg
  25. gearbox could be overfilled, causing it to leak oil out the sensor. or a seal broken?
