  1. yes. even if you just know the location of the clip they can look up part no. and order any qty for you
  2. Regarding the torque readouts on the dyno: The figures we are looking at on the dyno sheets are at the wheels figures - ie torque at the wheels. This differs from torque at the engine because the force has been acted upon by the gearbox and diff. That is, the torque figures at the wheels are comparatively high due to the effects of gearing. Sorry for the bad explanation, my mind's gone blank.
  3. get them from nissan! they're cheap so there's no excuse to get universal clips which may not fit as well.
  4. i drafted some rough agreements...they are probably crap i dont know. comments?
  5. I can't do anything to my car without being hurt in some way. Whether it is removing wheels, exhaust, changing oil, shocks, hicas bar or whatever I always manage to bruise or cut myself! I hit my head on the boot latch probably once every few weeks, maybe i'm a slow learner

    Where to park????

I feel ur pain. The first week i parked at the station i returned 3 out of the 5 days to find dints where people had opened their doors into my car. I try and park in view to deter people from badging it but if someone really wanted to i'm sure they could. Nissan can order the S badges, they're probably expensive though. Justjap probably have them as well.

    my car is evil

    wish to elaborate on that?
  8. this is a tricky situation because you're friends with the owners! I'm putting my car in for some work soon and was thinking of writing up some sort of contract for them to sign regarding driving the car but maybe its a bit of a waste of time...
  9. I use castrol vmx80. Its great stuff for the price you pay. In my diff i use castrol epx80w/90. Previously I have used Shell synthetic 75w/90 and it was shocking! gears/synchros grinded conistently when cold and often when warm as well.
  10. Need R33 rear pods or mudguards urgently! Getting rear end resprayed on insurance job so want to fit the pods at the same time. Also after side skirts. Cheers Greg edit: forgot to mention I'm preferably after standard items.
  11. wouldn't the point of the governement tax be to discourage consumers to use petrol, because using it has a negative externality affect (ie harmful to environment)
  12. www.bilstein.com.au - $225 per shock. I'm very happy with mine. Fit them yourself and save about $150 - check the faq section for the guide i wrote.
  13. I'll take it. I can pick up this weekend. check pm
  14. I took my car to ABS for a shock absorber test, and as part of the test they weighed the car - it showed weight on each corner. cost $30 for the test though.
  15. GP Sports kit is nice - i've only seen it on www.takakaira.com though you might be able to find a place making cheap knock offs of it. but if you're like me you want the real thing.
  16. thanks TT i found the thread u mentioned. i disconnected the computer and removed the little interceptor computer thing the tomei hicas lock kit came with. but this upset the power steering - it made it very heavy. so i reconnected the computer (without the tomei interceptor), and the steering is fine again. actually it went heavy on me while doing a u turn, apart from that fine. so don't remove ur computer unless u like heavy steering. interestingly, my hicas light is not on, despite removing the tomei unit whose only function i thought was to trick the hicas light into turning off. i left the 2 wires that the tomei unit intercepts cut - is this bad (they don't have any other function?) also anyone know insurance implications of removing hicas?
  17. dox post up your word doc in a thread of its own i'm sure we are all interesting in reading it gatty i say do it...only for selfish reasons though - i want to know how well it works so then i can do the same to mine (i'm in same boat re condition)
  18. how much lower do they make car?
  19. $300. was on R33. comes with stand. located in melbourne but will cod to anywhere. SOLD - but stand still available see http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...4827#post844827
  20. maybe if i lose any weight there'll be nothing left of me! weight 73kg, height 183cm good in theory though
  21. Ok i replaced the hicas rack with a tube...completely removing hicas and saving 4kg Now I want to remove the bits associated with hicas to save more weight. What else can i safely and easily remove?? - Hicas steering angle sensor (any point in removing?) - Hicas computer - is this needed for any other functions? (perhaps abs etc) - Wiring (much point in removing?) - anything else?? Thanks for your help Greg
  22. hicas steering rack on r33 weighs 5kg a lock bar weighs 1kg sorry to dig up the old thread - just better to keep all the same info in the one place
