  1. $ from working, saving and investing when u getting your car sxyr33? theres so many n/a skylines on the these forums from melb now, its good
  2. thanks for your help everyone, i'll take lots of pics tomorrow, write up a formal and intelligent letter and see what comes of it. I don't think it would be worth the lawyer's fees and the hassles to get a lawyers letter sent to the council. i keep you updated on how things go. anyone know any places to get my rim repaired in eastern suburbs? lol@dan_the_man...i know what u mean, these days people seem to be suing because they didn't like the way someone looked at them. that case in the US (where else?) where some guys sued McDonalds because they sell fattening food was a prime example of how ridiculous things have become with litigation.
  3. hey guys, as the title says i hit this massive pothole on the edge of the road (another car was coming so i had to go right to the edge) and heard a massive bang. i jacked my car up when i got home and the rim is clearly buckled. if i take a photo of the pothole, take a photo of my buckled rim and send it to the council, do you think they will pay for a new rim or repair costs of my existing rim??? or will they contest it and take me to court and it would end up being more trouble than its worth? thanks greg
  4. i reckon a v8 commondore would be pretty even with a n/a supra. i guess the supra just felt quick to me because my car's so slow if i drove a turbo line it would probably feel like a rocket lol
  5. well a n/a supra is definitely quicker than a n/a skyline (i've driven both) and i beat v6 commodores in my n/a skyline so yeah
  6. if you are the first oz owner you could put down the price paid for the car at auction in japan, that way you've got documentary evidence to back up the claim too.
  7. "now how can u get rid of it?" sound deaden your boot lid. i was quoted $40 to sound deaden mine. if you take it to an auto trimmer / stereo installing place they should be able to fix it for you or at least tell you what needs to be done so you can do it yourself. basically what needs to happen is to remove the standard sound deadener and either glue some dynamax / brown bread there or paint on sound deadener stuff. i've been meaning to do mine but i'm too lazy.
  8. nice work john sorry to hear about your front bar, that's the reason why i'm reluctant to get a kit. if you don't mind me asking, roughly what kind of money are you looking at for this? 10k? can't wait for your dyno results. cheers
  9. yokohama A539's - relatively cheap and the performance is not bad. they came 1st in the wheels magazine test. i like them.
  10. pushead, have you got any more pics but taken from a bit of a distance? this chrome is actually growing on me
  11. yeah i emaild them and they said just put the colour you want in the memo field when u order.
  12. if you only put a strut bar on the front, does it increase tendency to understeer? would it be a good idea to do front and rear at the same time?
  13. they're all good, go and try them all for yourself to see which you prefer. i prefer synergy 8000 but that's just me.
  14. no one in melb has them yet....we should be waiting at most 2 more weeks. well that's not quite true, i have one set sitting in my garage but i need a gasket that's being sent with the rest of the extractors before i can fit them! someone got in before us and cleaned the coby factory out of extractors so we have to wait while they manufacture more
  15. yeah i'm with you, it needs some kind of better protection from rain and stuff, but that is just a matter of experimentation. my main concern is cutting through structural metal and then your car being called unroadworthy.
  16. did u have to cut through metal to get it there?
  17. good to hear glenn, i can't wait for mine to go on how much louder is your exhaust now?
  18. thanks
  19. this is a bit off topic but has anyone got pics of the SAU stickers on their cars? especially the one that fits the rear quarter window, i'm thinking of getting some. thanks
  20. Greg

    The New GT-R...!!!

    1kg = 9.8nm (approx)
  21. yeah i'd be up for it, the more time i spend sideways the better of i'll be on the road when something goes wrong
  22. my car (n/a) runs heaps better with synergy 8000 or optimax, but i too have been told normal unleaded is ok for the engine.
