and you get a cool sucking sound on a cold night mine whistles and ALMOST sounds like a turbo. realistically i doubt it increases performance much, i didn't notice any difference
-
yeah sure Joe i'll see what i can do (it will be a while though cos i'm waiting on a gasket to be sent with the remainder of the extractors) sillyfryfreash, check your pm 33spec2, prefer melbourne buyers sorry
-
if you're interested the conversion on the torque is 568.7857nm, not too bad

I got the hicas rack from skyline33 for $250 from memory but usually they are more than this. Yeah i should have realised you were talking about the front end because u mentioned power steering in your frist post...oh well. Hows your car? any panel damage or is it just the tie rod?
-
Its really easy. I've replaced my left one myself by just jacking the car up and unscrewing it. I had to buy a full hicas rack because wreckers don't like separating the tie rods. Hope this helps
-
i've got the hks system too, its 2.5 inch let me know how the extractors go

On imported goods, how and when do you pay the import duty and/or GST? Does customs contact you when the goods enter the country? Do you have to lodge any forms? Pay by credit card? how does it all work?! thanks heaps Greg

after installing splits in my doors a few months back, my door trims have never been the same. they have gradually got looser and looser and its now to the point that when i use the handle to close the door the whole trim flexes and it feels like it will fall off! has this happened to anyone else? do you think i need to get new clips or something? thanks
-
i'd say this would be a good thing

yep its true, i'm currently in the cook islands At the other end couldn't you just get them to weld a flange to it so it does bolt on to the cat? this would make it easier if you wanted to change your cat in the future. it sounds a bit dodgy about grinding them down, i thought they were meant to be a straight bolt on. i had a look at the standard extractors today and they suck! piping is really small and bends obviously aren't mandrel done. also you guys should tighten your throttle cables. i took a fair bit of slack out of mine and it's much more responsive now cheers greg -
this might be a stupid question but why are you getting the extractors if you're doing the conversion next year? i hope you go ahead with the conversion, it would be good to see it done and that way i'll know exactly what needs upgrading so I can do it to my car once i finish uni what age do you get your license in queensland? i get mine in less than 3 weeks!!

r34 rb26dett have 6 speeds, r32 and r33 have 5 speeds. i'm only 17 as well
-
he can't because its designed for awd John, try posting this is the Forced Induction or General Automotive forum because i think the people in there would know more about the rb26dett and gearbox strength etc than us n/a guys.

Sorry Clint I have to be fair here, neoGT-25 asked me first about 1 hour ago so I'll give him first go at them. If he deides against it or takes forever to get the money, then you'll be next in line. Alternatively I could auction them off? j/k -

Hey guys, Just a bit of an update: the exchange rate was slightly better than expected (budgeted for 1.1000 and received 1.1135) but the transfer fee was slightly more (budgeted for $20 and payed $28). They pretty much even each other out, but I ended up making a huge profit of $8 I had to pay for an extra set myself to make up the numbers, so if anyone (prefereably in melb) wants to buy it then pm me. I think I've let most of you know already but I'm going on holidays for two weeks (leaving this saturday) so after then the best way if you need to contact me is on my mobile. Regards Greg -

i've thought about fitting some more and decided that i want to dyno my car before and after so i might get ice or BMT or somewhere like that to fit them. ps i paid for the extractors today rockie said they should be despatched early next week so you should receive them about 2 weeks from now. thanks everyone for your quick payment. cheers greg -
hicas is shit, disable it run the diagnostics to see if anything is wrong: from memory start the car in neutral, pump brake pedal 5 times quickly and then once for a couple of seconds, then put the car in gear and drive forward about 10m. the hicas light will flash an error code. do a search for what these mean

i wondered exactly the same thing when i first got my car: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ight=fog+lights
