  1. hey dude, Do you know how to stop those boot rattles that are typical on R33's with a sub? I've fixed my number plate by putting some rubber behind it, but the actual panels are vibrating i think??? cheers
  2. After disabling the hicas on my R33 the car is EASIER to drive if anything and it is definitely a lot more predictable and easier to control when the back steps out.
  3. yeah good call turtle, you don't want to give the commodore drivers the satisfaction of beating a skyline, hence bringing down the skyline name and reputation!
  4. LOL well that's for me then! I just put an Apexi Power Intake on my non turbo R33 and to tell you the truth i noticed no difference what so ever. A bit of a woosh at high revs and that is all. I will be adding a cold air intake tomorrow but i doubt that will make a lot of difference...
  5. Some interesting issues raised here.... If my car was to be stolen and then recovered, but with say $3000 of damage, would my 3rd party fire and theft policy pay for that damage given the policy states that it covers theft up to $4000? Or is that just if the vehicle isn't recovered? Thanks

    theyre gaining!!

C i s kind of near G on the keyboard -- it's simply a typing error ;)We need to type quickly so we can catch up to and pass NSW, so accuracy has become secondary to speed :uh-huh:

    which exhaust...????

i have a hks super drager especially for a non turbo skyline and the sound is great. it has a nice deep muffled note and does not drone at all. it sounds tough without being ridiculously noisy. the super drager system for a turbo might be different, not sure.

how do you mean? just kind of like this?
  9. check the white plug that connects the wires from the door to the main body. I mean the one which the grommet runs into. You have to unscrew it. They would have put the new stereo wires through there and may have accidently wrecked another wire in the process. sorry if this has already been suggested, i haven't read the rest of the thread....
  10. If all else fails get a hacksaw blade and cut the top off it. Then bash the rest of it out with a hammer and screwdiver (will only work if thread is stripped).
  11. I'm going to stuff my doors with this cushion stuffing tomorrow (already done boot), but i'm not sure which part of the door to put it in... do i put it: behind the plastic lining where the window winds down to? -or- in between the plastic lining and the interior panel? thanks
  12. ok i have a tip for sound deadening: cushion stuffing you can buy it from lincraft and those kind of shops really cheaply and it works quite well
  13. I hooked up my splits to the amp but it lacked bass... so then i hooked up the sub to the amp and ran the splits from the head unit. It sounds sweet I might get a cheap 2 channel amp to run my splits though because the sound is so much clearer with an amp. Anyone know of any amps for sale? Thanks for your help all
  14. I just got an air filter from them. They are very professional and the filter arived in under 5 days from the time of ordering. I am very impressed. I highly recommend them
  15. i have two computers stacked on top of each other in my boot below the rear parcel tray. they look like this (dodgy representation). .______ |______| ..|____| is the hicas one the larger one on top or the smaller one below? thanks
  16. i have two computers stacked on top of each other in my boot below the rear parcel tray...which is the hicas one? note i have an R33 they look like this (dodgy representation). is it the larger one on top or the smaller one below? .______ |______| ..|____| I think the smaller one is the HICAS computer from the info above, but then what is the larger one? main ecu? thanks, this has been bugging me for a while
  17. how do i centre the hicas on its rack? after i've done this i simply need to splice some wires into the HICAS ecu and the lock kit is fully installed
  18. thanks all for your replies i've decided i don't want to spend money on another amp just yet...so here are my options: a) Use the amp to run my splits, and run no sub for the moment B) Use the amp to run my sub and run splits from the head unit I'm leaning towards (a) because my splits were pretty expensive and are quite good quality so it would be a waste not running them off an amp. what do you think?
  19. for my sister's bf to get 2.25" piping from the cat back, new muffler and a hotdog style resonator it cost him a bit over $400. That was using dodgy mild steel though.... Make sure you get some sort of resonator otherwise it will drone like one of those dodgy lancers you see going around. let us know how u go
  20. i ordered a tomei hicas lock from UAS for $295 + freight. I'll let you know how it works when i get it
