  1. after a full set thanks sorry not my style, ideally after 16" too
  2. My guess would be to sell more! Sure it works with an n/a, but there's no benefit. If you're going to turbo it down the track, you will need one, so it won't be wasted. HICAS ecu is in the boot, main ecu is in the passenger kick panel. The more you learn about these cars the more you realise they are quite simple
  3. As topic states. With tyres or without. Please post details of rims and tyres, pics, asking price, and most importantly OFFSET & WIDTH. Cash is waiting!
  4. nice car with a lot of potential as commented on, unbelievable! you'd be lucky to buy a wreck in Australia for that price!
  5. there is an old thread in the n/a section discussing turbo timers on an n/a - no benefit, excessive idling actually harms the engine as it is running too rich (from memory)
  6. yep definitely go the 225/45/17
  7. wow that was quick! thanks for your replies guys I did a dodgy wheel alignment with a tape measure, it previously had ~1cm toe out EACH SIDE! I set it to ~neutral and the problem is gone! Amazing how much difference the toe makes.
  8. Well I refitted hicas today, the aim being to get back my power steering, which it did but not as much as i hoped (power steering pump probably on its way out). Anyway I have a handling problem now. It feels like the hicas rack has a lot of freeplay in it, sich that with any front steering movement, the rear wheels are free to swing the full movement that the rack allows (regardless of what speed I'm going). I can feel the rear end swaying side to side (like an S going up the road). The hicas light is not on and does not come on when this is happening. I did a hicas diagnostic and got code 32 (neutral input switch not present). I always got this code and previously there were no problems. The wheel alignment looks to be straight, but I'm going to measure when my I have another set of hands to help me. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
  9. Dude just do some searching on the net. "normal" (stock) $20 up to $500 for brand name springs

  11. Hi mate thanks for your reply I used to run a lot of castor but have put the standard rods back in now, which made no difference. I haven't taken my car to the track, and my priorities have changed such that I won't be. I just want it to be a competent street car. It certainly slides well as it is (i've been to skidpan days (and local roundabouts) a fair bit. Traction tyres in Rowville thought it would most likely be my springs, and as i was getting sick of the harsh ride anyway, I'm changing back to standard springs today. So I will be running the ARC swaybars with the standard springs, which I think should still provide quite good handling. I will post up how it goes.
  12. Could be interested in the Standard r33 suspension if you're in melbourne? And yeah need to post prices
  13. bump i have same problem and blamed hydraulics. anyone out there found a solution? I lubricated pivot point which fixed grining noise, but takeup point is still crap
  14. where do you live?
  15. nisswreck, i sent you a message through your website about stock N/A wheels. I'm keen on a set. How much will they be delivered to postcode 3793? sorry for the hijack - i have some 6spoke white 17's in 4 stud but I'm in melb
  16. 2.5" is the best size. To reduce noise, it must have resonators in it and a decent muffler (not straight through). Follow this advice and you should be happy Incidentally, I have just what you need mate, see the link in my signature. Pm or call me for more info. It is an excellent system.
  17. what colour is it? could be interested in boot + wing

  21. seems to be coming from back of car near fuel tank, thanks for the suggestion though. yeah i think you're right mate, i've got a new bracket to support the system now so it shouldn't vibrate/wobble loose now
