Pair Of Hks 2530's
justinfox replied to justinfox's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Up for sale again please read modified/edited posts above. Thanks -
Hi all, Just took these off my GT-R. They were sold to me as HKS manifolds but my mechanic doubts they are HKS, he does think they are Japanese though and he thinks they must flow great as they're a lot bigger and better than the stock steel manifolds. I want $300 ono for them, the catch is that they have been strengthened before (I paid someone to do it) and yet I have found a hairline fracture on one of them. So SOLD AS IS, thus, cheap cheap cheap! You will have to get them repaired before fitting them on to your car. They are bolt on, direct replacements for stock RB26 manifolds. In Sydney, pick-up or can send too. Pics:

My Honda buddies are really into drags, one night after a Burrows Day at Easternb Creek I deicded to hang out and watch them race, they convinced me to drag as well as I had my car, and gear on me so I thought why the hell not!!! I was f**king nervous, night time, big crowd no idea how to launch a GT-R too. I lined up, talked to many cool guys who all offered a lot of the same sort of advise and then after what seemed like eternity it was my turn. Korn was blasting on the loud speakers (lol) and I heard them say "In the K&N lane is Justin Fox from Maroubra!!!" LOL that freaked me right out! The massive Monaro thing next to me was doing a massive burnout, I just chirped the wheels and went straight over the wet road onto the line up line (I got it right 1st go that was just luck!). Tree lights went and I didn't go, waited to get revs up to 7000rpm, took my time then dropped the clutch, felt insane, revving off the rev limiter, didn't know when to shift to 2nd but then I just did, then 3rd, then 4th all a little too late as I was too excited to try to catch the car that was already a bit in front as he went off the lights straight away. Anyways, next thing you know you're in the dark, with this other car next to you, you do a u-turn and see just how far you've gone as the crowd and lights are so far away. So cool! Got my slip and the guys were there to greet me, they were giving me the thumbs up. I did a 1.8sec 0-60 which is meant to be pretty OK apparently and I got a 12.9sec pass from my stock R32 GT-R on stock 0.9bar boost (but I had semis from circuit work). I parked it straight away! Way too fun and addictive to have another go. I can totally understand the attraction people have to drags now. Totally understand!!! ALL THE BEST PRANK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You guys rock, helps a lot, decision is firm now. Thanks!

Hi all, I've just sold my HKS 2530's and looking to get either HKS GT-SS's or GT-RS turbos. I've heard great things about the GT-RS on S15's but nothing about them on GT-R's. I found the 2530's very laggy down low and very damn punchy up top. Then again I had only done a street tune and not a full dyno tune. In any case I have sold them. I am looking for something which spools up very quickly for track/circuit work. NOT INTO DRAGS AT ALL. Must be great for track work and come on gradually not like my 2530's which just went insane up 6000/7000rpm but had nothing at all down low. I've read on some forums that the GT-SS is tiny, small as stock but spool fast but can make a lot of power. I am scared that the GT-RS will be just as laggy as the 2530's as they seem to be even bigger than the 2530! I am running an RB26 with Tomei oncams (Type-B), HKS rods and pistons, 550 Nismo injectors, stock afms, power FC. Any advise/opinions especially from experience would be greatly appreciated cheers peeps!!!

Pair Of Hks 2530's
justinfox replied to justinfox's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Guys I have had a lot of PM's in regards to these turbos. I have no idea about the technical aspects, housings turbines etc all I know they are HKS 2530's!!! LOL. What you see in the pics above (pics are of the exact turbos). UPDATE: On sale again due to time waster!!! I have gone and done the right thing and taken both turbos to Mark (head guy) at GCG. He has inspected both turbos and says both are in good working order. I would be more than happy to go to GCG with you, and the turbos, so you can hear it from Mark's mouth. $2k for both now that I have Mark/GCG's assurance that both turbos are fine (ie: he says a tiny bit of shaft play on both which is totally normal for ball bearing turbos and no oil leaking at all from the rear of either turbine). -
SOLD!

Very cool, all the best to all involved. I designed the current banner you see at the top of this forum and it's great to see a few of these designs influenced by my logotype (having the "SAU" in "skylineSAUstralia" pronounced).

Hi all, Here's the story. I ordered a rear strut brace for my R32 GT-R from a mate and didn't care about the condition of it as it was going in the boot in any case. He got me the wrong brace! IE: He got a front brace instead of a rear brace (LOL). So here's a genuine NISMO brace for R32 Skylines. It's alloy not metal because it's very damn light. The bubbling you see over the logo is masking tape, ie: there's masking tape over the brace as they have scribbled some sort of code number over the top of it with texta. Asking $150 which is what I paid for it delivered. Will ship it out of Sydney if I have to. Can pick up from me at either Eastern Suburbs Sydney or Padstow (just off the M5).

R32 Gt-r Whiteline Swaybars
justinfox posted a topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
I have a set of front and rear, as new Whiteline ADJUSTABLE Swaybars off my R32 GT-R. I bought them new as part of the Whiteline works package. Front: Blade Adjustable 22mm BNF27Z Rear: Blade Adjustable 24mm BNR26Z Condition is as new only used for 5000kms or thereabouts and only done a handful of trackdays with them on the car. I am in Sydney, Maroubra/Eastern Suburbs. I will send them if I have to (at your cost of-course). PLEASE do not ask me if they fit this car or that as I have no idea at all, best to ask Whiteline as I have supplied the model numbers above. No need for pics, they are what they are. Looking for a quick sale, you snooze you lose! $250 the pair. -
Here's s video, in car cam, of my MX-5 (1.8 NON TURBO, street tyres) vs. WRX STi 2-door: http://www.jdmyard.com/jdmyard_2006/images...inmx5/canto.mov PS: I own both an MX-5 and an R32 GT-R. I love them both for very different reasons. To cut it short, the GT-R for brute power, the MX-5 for it's amazing handling.

Quick Question On R32 Gt-r N1 Headlights
justinfox replied to justinfox's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
OMG DUH! Thanks R -
Here's mine, I've designed it so it integrates and flows with the forum's banner background (ie: you can't see an edge on the left or right of the banner) and since we love to use the site multiple times a day I've made it subtle so that it's not in your face each time:

Someone should sticky a thread like this. Definitely check under the car for oil leaks. My GT-R was and still is so damn clean but it did have an oil leak from somewhere. After a few track days it got worse and worse. In the end there was no way we could reach the leak without taking the engine out which we did and rebuilt with forged internals ($$$). In the end I could have bought an R34 GT-R by now with the money I've poured into this car... but then again I never had that money all in one hit to begin with. Having said that I don't consider myself to be the guy who works at McDonalds and pours all my hard earnt cash every month into my Hyundai Excel! The GT-R's not a GTS... and putting money into it feels alright by me because it's the real deal. PS: You can tell age by window mouldings, scratched driver side window (worn rails), faded rear seats (the top of them). Pedals and steering wheel/gearknob can be changed with new factory parts cheap. Cracked aircon vents are a little more exxy to repair, mould in the rear view mirror is common. Having said all the above, you shouldn't have to do any sort of exxy rebuild unless you start pushing the car with modifications for more power. It's an old car which is fine for driving as is... but try to get more power out of it and you run the risk of hurting the car's old parts. The engine has a lot of rubber tubes and stuff (lol how technical) which have gone hard and brittle over time due to heat. Even the intercooler hoses have gone hard and will blow off if you up your boost (can replace with HKS steel piping kit).

Hi guys. I've been meaning to get some N1 headlights for ages. I just replaced the parkers and bumbs in my normal R32 GT-R headlights and they're a lot better now but I was wondering: The stock R32 GT-R uses wedge bulbs for parkers/intermediates and H1 (1993) for main lights and something else for high beams. IE: There are 3 different bulbs in each headlight. The N1 uses only 2 different bulbs. How does that work then?! What's missing? The parker wedge? Front of N1 (see only 2 "boxes" for lights. Rear N1 see only 2 slots for bulbs. Projectpr R32 GT-R has 3 bulbs see small parker/wedge bulb on far left. Thanks for any help!!!!!!!

So it rained today huh? How did everyone go?
-
BUMP!!! IT'S REALLY ANNOYING ME!!! My otherwise clean car has these scratches on the drivers side door too.

Well the research (search) around the web didn't yield any 100% straight up advise so I went in to the workshop, got them to try and fit some HID kits into the R32 GT-R (projector style headlights) and NO GO. Damn, would not fit is the answer I got back. Glad they tried, glad I didn't have to pay for them trying, sad I still have shit lights at night.

justinfox replied to T04GTR's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Blue ones are Japanese.
