  1. Hey all! I have FOUND THE PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!! Turns out my oil cooler was working perfectly. It was the stock R32 GT-R oil temp guage that was faulty!!!!!!! MUAHAHAH! NO WAY! Insane huh? My DEFI guages showed, (how's this... ) after 10 (!!!) very hard laps around Eastern Creek that my oil temps only got to 115. And today was a damn DAMN hot day on the track!!! They p[redicted a heat wave today, wasn't quite 44degrees out there but it was damn hot. Most of the time the temp was 100-110. Awesome. So now I have already ordered a new oil cooler, a massive Trust one.. and it turns out that I didn't need it at all as my HKS cooler is damn fine. DUMB ASS or what?! Original message below: Hi all, I have an R32 GT-R and track it very often. I have installed an HKS oil cooler with remote filter mount and the last 3 track days I saw oil temps of 130!!!! I get 1 warmup lap in, and then 3-4 very hard hot laps in the temps soar up to 130 forcing me to come back in to pit lane whilst other people stay out in the session for at least another 4 laps more than myself. (Eastern Creek). Any ideas? Are all GT-R's like this? ie: 5 hot laps and you have to come back in to cool down? Any suggestions? It's a pretty big HKS cooler, near radiator, cost me $800 2nd hand. Thanks in advance for any help!!!
  2. Can more R32 GT-R people reply to this thread? I have a decent sized HKS one in front of the radiator and after 5 hot laps my oil temps rise to 130!!! I need more advise!
  3. The infamous Initial-D rims WATANABES!!!!!See here for a lot more pics: http://www.rs-watanabe.co.jp/userspage/fuziwara_r.htm
  4. Those weds only just fit on an R34 GT-R. They definitely will stick out too much on an R32 I think at 18x10.5 for the forged ones. I have seen them on an R32 GT-R in real life. It's the white one on sale at Autostyle.
  5. OK some pics of some wheel choices on the R32 GT-R. I am still leaning towards work meisters!
  6. Lucien, very nice photoshop there. Love the wheels but one thing that has stopped me from ordering these, or my fave Nismo LMGT4's is the lack of dish!!! Yes the inward slanted spokes issue had always confused me. I thought it was an offset issue? In any case I have just found out that my Brembos do not fit under my BBS LM's!!! I am not 100% sure but my mechanic seems to think they might not fit. In this case I will HAVE to buy new rims (or opt for spacers). So, time's a tickin!!!! Deep dish WORK Meisters or LMGT4's or TE37's! ARGH! It's headache material for sure.
  7. LOL Ronin, and DAMN LW, they look amazing in that dark grey/back! Never seen them like that before. So you're going to put these on an R32 GT-R? A gunmetal grey one? I'd love to see the end result. 18x? what offset? I'd like to know.
  8. Sorry to hear it Tom. All the best of luck with insurance man... I know you've out a lot of hard work into this car. Glad I got to see and hear it in the flesh! Sorry it had such a short life.
  9. Here's my car with BBS LM's in 17x9. I dream of 18inch wheels though for my car. Either WORK Meister S1's, R34 GT-R wheels or Nismo LMGT4's and I'd still settle for TE37's. I might have to sell these rims as I just bought some Brembos for the front and it doesn't look like there's enough clearance for them So, great excuse to upgrade wheels I suppose!!! I'll need about $5k though to get what I really want! OUCH!!!
  10. Just looks so awesome man, so much so that I have put my daily beater Honda Type-R in the paper today and once the cash comes in I'll spuce up an R32 for a daily. Never thought the R32 could look so simple, clean and down right sexy as your one is. Great that it's not trying to be a GT-R too, so refreshing. Loving it a lot.. especially the colour scheme. red/black=awesome!!!
  11. I'll take it at $750 cash if you deliver it to me in Sydney!!! PM me if you're keen.
  12. hehe Ronin, happily!!!
  13. Cheers Duncan. Would love to go out again but damn that drive home was so hardcore. I hated every minute of it. My car was aquaplaning all over the place so I literally had to drive at 65km/hr all the way back to Sydney!!! Trucks were overtaking me... so scary... I was tired, wet, cold, no music in the car, damn!!! I won this though, so I'm happy I was the fastest GT-R on the day. Best recorded time on the day was 1.14 and it was an EVO8 set up for rally.
  14. OK just had a bash at Wakefield yesterday for the 1st time. In wet weather conditions too with semi slicks (yes went off the track in a big way!). Best time was 1.15/R32 GT-R. Looking forward to going back there in the dry for sure, great track... full of corners + very aggressive!!!
  15. I will be there. Booked and ready to rock.
  16. I am so sad I sold mine. $12k was too good to refuse though... or was it? I miss my car a lot, doing burnouts and using the hand brakie! Here's a pic: All the best Shan!!!!!!
  17. SOLD! I'll take it. I am in Sydney. PM me your bank account details and I will put the cash in right now. Please PM me your number so I can call you tomorrow to confirm sale.
  18. That RX7... makes me want to sell my GT-R. The only reason why I never have had one is the research I've done about it's reliability. So many people have told me that it would not be the best daily driver. Bad build quality and an engine that's not exactly bulletproof. I don;t think it's going to stop me from owning one one day though! The shape is just too sexy. Shaped like the female body for sure!
  19. For everyone's sake I just ran out and measured my wheel PROPERLY. The wheel is exactly 370mm. So there. I was right in thinking that it must be bigger than most aftermarket wheels out there.
  20. I measured 350, or 355 but that just doesn't seem right for some reason as the steering wheel in a Type-R is apparently 360 and shit it's a lot smaller than the GT-R's "massive" steering wheel. Aftermarket wheels are also commonly 360, for some reason I thought all these 360 aftermarket wheels would be smaller than the GT-R's wheel.
  21. Yes $4k with actuators. Will not separate anymore and will not discount it by one single dollar.
  22. Fish out a price why don't you? I have no money and don't intend on losing anymore. These turbos are here for you to see. Not in Japan, in Sydney. Inspections are welcome. I will not part for these for any less than $4000. I can do them for $3650 without the HKS actuators.
  23. Hi all, I bought $2k worth of goodies for my GT-R and also got myself the set of Brembos for sale on here a few weeks ago. I also bought a pair of as new HKS GT 2530's and a Type-R for a daily driver. Now I am totally broke!!! I seriously, no lie, have $0 in my account and I have also got a credit card debt!!! I'm pretty happy with the car as it is at the moment with the stock turbos so I am considering selling these 2530's with uprated HKS actuators as I currently have no cash to fit them onto the car. They came from Japan, have apparently done only 750kms. I paid big dollar for them ($4182.00) as I didn't want to risk buying used turbos and wanted either new or as new (yes my car's worth it!). I am not desperate to sell as I am most likely going to get some cash in soon (I hope!) so no silly offers please. Pics:
  24. HOT DAYM! Great work mate!
