  1. My mechanic (which I trust) says there is a risk of a blown ceramic turbo doing harm to your engine otherwise I would be purposely running at 1.2bar trying to kill the mothers! Rebuilding stock turbos costs around $800/turbo. Removing and installing turbos on an R32 GT-R is no easy job and could cost anywhere from $650-850 depending on who does it for you. A GT-R on boost is an awesome thing though huh? I am looking into a set of N1 turbos. Small, keep the response down low and able to handle over 1bar of boost comfortably. Sounds perfect to me! (cheers to SydneyKid for all the knowledge).
  2. Cheers guys. Will look into this.
  3. Hi all I am looking for a set of R32 wind deflectors. I am happy to pay massive cash for these please! PM me or email [email protected]
  4. I can't get past 90.FM. I assume it's because it's a Japanese radio? ieL I can't tune into 107.3, 104.9 etc. Any ideas guys?
  5. A wee bit off topic but what is the most cost effective way for me to upgrade my stock ceramic turbos? I am sick of living with this paranoia of them giving in one day so I am starting to think about making the moves to go for steel wheels. Any advice appreciated.
  6. Are semi slicks on the road defectable?

  8. Guys I got the resonator taken out and a highflow cat put in and it's now a little louder, not as loud as I would like but much better. Boost is now spiking at 1.02bar (was set to max out at 0.9). So all good!!!! Looks like it's flowing better too.
  9. Andy please PM me back with you phone number and location. I will come by and pay good cash for this as soon as you have spare time.
  10. Check your PM. If it really is in perfect condition I will out-bid anyone on these forums.
  11. OK I am in. 100% for sure.
  12. I want more sound, that's the only thing I am not happy with. When I am blasting 190km/hr down the straight at Eastern Creek people on the wall have said to me "damn man I couldn't even hear your car!". hehe. I want something louder for sure. Merli, I have been looking at that exhaust, or the same one minus the titanium build. Looks like that's the one I will be getting if replacing my cat and taking off a resonator doesn't help. PS: I have just put on HKS dump and front pipes and they made no difference at all to the sound.
  13. Well it's looking like I either keep my super quiet legal Fujitsubo or go apeshit super loud?! I want to go loud but legal. I suppose this doesn't exist in a straight-through exhaust unless it has a restrictive resonator on it. I might go down the route of ripping off my resonator first. See how that goes. I'll report back as soon as I do this next week.
  14. I have the Apexi AVC-R. It's awesome. Before I had it I just took out the boost solenoid and on a track day it must have spiked somewhere and I blew the pipe off the intercooler which ruined my track day. Boost is super stable now, with no spiking on track or off the track.
  15. I've heard the Apexi N1 is great but yes I have also heard it's damn loud. It has to be legal. I already have pod filters on my car and I am a sitting duck really. Just waiting to be defected for them. It wasn't until I realised, logically, that there are so many modifications that you can do within the law to gain more power, so why bother with the paranoia of being defected? Perhaps I'm getting old and conservative!?!
  16. There is a 180sx in the workshop which has the exhaust he is trying to sell me. Car's not working at the moment so yes, perhaps I'll wait until it is so I can hear it. Another thought then would be for me to try and take the resonator off perhaps and try a high flow cat and see if that makes my exhaust more audible. I might give this a go before jumping into spending over a grand for a new exhaust.
  17. Hi all, I have an R32 GT-R with a Jasma approved FGK (Fujitsubo) cat back exhaust system on it. My mechanic says it's quite old and suggests that I upgrade to a new Fujitsubo Legalis-R cat back. I wanted to hop on here and ask all of you for your experiences and reviews/opinions before jumping into the sale. My current exhaust is so quiet I can't hear anything at all from it. NOTHING! All I hear is engine noise, induction noise and tyre noise (I am serious, it's really that quiet). I am in two minds about it being so quiet but more than ever before I want it to be loud (it is a GT-R afterall). I've done a big search and found that people have suggested an HKS Super Dragger cat back. Some have said it sits too low and scrapes the ground, some say it's too loud. No one seems to suggest any other exhaust systems. Since my car is used only for track days (and the occasional cruise around to a mates place) I want something loud but still legal. I have an unlimited budget for this cat back exhaust and wish that I could test fit before I buy but this is not possible so any enlightenment would be greatly appreciated guys.
  18. Hi guys. I have had quite a few offers for the seats. Some of them are a little too low and some of them are getting there. FUMIN, so far you have the highest bid. I'll get back to you early next week.
  19. OOH LAH LAH! I'd love to give it a go. It's a massive site though and would take a lot of work. I've been working on the jdmyard web site and it's looking good so far (http://www.jdmyard.com) I've got rotating banner on there at the moment, keeps the site fresh and I can always add more as I go along. I'm super loaded with work atm but as I'm so into Skylines AND SAU has been very kind to me I'll give it a bash over the next month (or two) for sure. A little off topic now, sorry guys. Carry on, more entries please!
  20. Thanks guys for clearing that up. Now, is there no interest in these at all? Am I charging too much? I have found a few online going for more and the seats aren't anywhere near as clean as my ones.
