  1. Silver Arrowz is picking it up off me tonight. If for any reason the deal falls through I will let you know.
  2. Yeah come on guys let me at the SAU site!!! I'll make it 100 times sexier (and tougher!) ! And still load fast and even more functional!
  3. Here is a pic I have just taken. As you can see, looks brand new now as I got it restrored by a professional Body Shop (not a cheap one: Maroubra Beach Garage).
  4. Danny is this you from the OzHonda site too? I didn't know you owned an R32! $150 for the box sounds about right. It will look a lot better than the one I made up. Check the other thread on this forum about the CAI box. I used it to make my own box up. Use carboard first, then use the carboard as a template. Easy.
  5. Hi matey. No idea whether they will be easy to get into an R33. Pics? I don't have pics but they are the same as these:
  6. Hi all, I have an R32 GT-R strut brace for sale. When I was looking for one I saw that Justjap were selling some for $89. I gave Darren there a call and he said that since he was a GT-R owner himself he would rather sell me something that would actually work rather than something thin, cheap and nasty. I took his word and bought the red GT-R brace (in photo next to a typical cheap brace) which I had seen in many Japanese GT-R's in GT-R magazines before (so many japs have this exact brace, not sure of the brand though). First thing I did was take it to the paint shop to get it re-conditioned and painted in a very high gloss black finish. It looks awesome now. I had a very crashy ride before but once fitted I found that the potholes on the street were not so bad anymore so I know for a fact this thing works (I was actually amazed as on past cars I have owned I never felt a difference with one on). Asking $195.00 if you don't feel the difference I will give you your money back!!! I am in Sydney, eastern suburbs. PM or email me at justinATaustralianinfront.com.au
  7. Hi all. I have an R32 GT-R radiator schroud/air guide for sale. These things definitely work to keep engine bay temps down. UAS sells them new for $90.00. I had to modify my one slightly to fit as I have oil cooler pipes in the way. It's a modification done by my mechanic, basically the little flap on the left (which is non functional in any case) has been cut off neatly. I'll let it go for $55. I am in Sydney. Eastern Suburbs and would prefer it if you picked this up but I will send it off if necessary. PM me or email me at: justinATaustralianinfront.com.au
  8. Hi all. I have just put an order in for a set of Bride Zeta 2's so I will have a set of R32 GT-R front seats for sale as soon as my seats come in. They are in absolutely awesome condition. No stains whatsoever and not a single rip or anything of the sort. I doubt you'd find any better ones for sale. I want $950 for the set. I am in Sydney. Eastern Suburbs and would prefer it if you picked them up as they would be a hassle to get to the pack and send. PM me or email me at: justinATaustralianinfront.com.au
  9. I went out to Bunnings and bought myself some aluminium and made my own shield up. It was more for hiding the pods from the cops than anything else. In the end of the day it looked OK but wasn't very secure at all and I think the cops would still question it and if they were to fiddle around with it they would realise it was a bodgey job. The winner of Autosalon magazine's SCOTY is a BNR32 GT-R and it's complete'y road legal. He has twin pods but they are enclosed in a custom fibreglass airbox which was made by Jetspeed in Moorebank. I called Jetspeed and they said they could make one up for me. I would have to leave the car with them for 2 days though as they would need it for day to take measurements and another day to wait for the fibreglass to set before installing it. Looks awesome. I really want to get it done. I just have to get off my arse and get over to Moorebank which is far away for me (I am lazy with distances!). If anyone knows of a place close to the city that can make up a fibreglass or custom airbox that would look PRO please speak up for the good of all! Here's to no more defects!
  10. Some awesome entries! OK here's mine guys. Man making this one was fun!
  11. Oil Catch Can (modified for GT-R, 2 inlet, 1 outlet) + hoses. $150 FIRM. I am in Sydney. Will ship at your expense. PM me or email: [email protected]
  12. Cheers guys. Roy: Yes it must be removed as I go way over 180 on the straight. It's only my 3rd time on track with the GT-R. Last time I had no brakes or boost and the time before that my intercooler pipe blew off before the day even started AND I had to get the car towed!!! (what a waste of track time and ca$h!). I just didn't have much of an idea if it was a decent time or not. I was hesitant to let the guys time myself as I knew that once I did time myself I would only want to beat my own time and thus everything gets that little bit more dangerous! Playstation is one thing but doing it in real life is... well.. fun! hehehehe. I was quick to jump on the idea of modding my car even more to get more power out of it to bring down my lap times but then I realised that this isn't such a great challenge. Instead I am going to leave the car the way it is for now and just get better at driving it to bring my times down. So here's to looking forward to the next track day, more instruction and getting to know my GT-R! Hooray!
  13. SAU Nickname: justinfox Car Make and Model: 1993 BNR32 GT-R Circuit Name: Eastern Creek Lap time: 1:55 Modifications Engine: Cat Back Fujitsubo exhaust, Apexi Pod Filters, HKS dump/front pipes/oil cooler, Apexi AVCR at 0.9bar of boost. Power: ? Suspension: Whiteline Works package Tyres: Dunlop D02 semi slicks Brakes: Lucas TRW pads Body weight:? I just did this today guys. Average lap time was 1.58. So how's 1.55? I am still getting instruction and damn how awesome is instruction huh? Before today my quickest was 2.01 I had a lot of bad habits. I am hitting the Apex ok but not using enough of the track when powering out of the apex and that's what I got better at today (yes got the tyre off into the sand a few times trying!) and it brought my times down a fair bit! Hope I can better it next time.
  14. Please PM me matey. Sorry my inbox was full.
  15. SOLD------------- Hi all, I've upgraded to some hardcore race pads so I am selling my EBC Greenstuff pads. I think they will fit many Nissans out there. I have had them on an R32 GT-R. There's 99% meat left on these pads says the workshop that just took them off for me today. I got them from Autospeed online and they cost me: $253.00 Greenstuff Roadsport Brake Pads - DP21200 + $209.00 Roadsport Brake Pads DP2826 Total this Order: $462.00 I have no need for them at all so I might as well sell them. I am asking $250. In Sydney, will ship at your expense. PM me or email me at: [email protected]
  16. Do everyone a favour, yourself included, and post pics. Email them to me and I will host them until they are sold. [email protected]
  17. MAKE: HONDA CIVIC VTi (EG Hatchback) YEAR: 1995 TRANSMISSION: Manual ODOMETER: 76,000kms Honda Civic VTi 1995 Vtec 3 door hatch, genuine 76000kms, black, electric sunroof and windows, air conditioned, manual, full rego, keyless entry, alarm, full service records, fabulous little car. This is an older shot without bonnet, wing and lip but it's a good shot to show you the condition of the paint. So clean, no interior pics but it's super clean and dark unlike most eg's the VTi has a classy dark grey interior not light plasticy grey. Genuine 76,000kms!!! This is arguably the cleanest EG around ( I know as I looked for one for over a year and found this one). It was previously owned by an older lady who always serviced the car at Rick Demilians. I have COMPLETE LOG BOOKS and receipts of all the services done. I bought it competely dead stock and in the past 2 months I have been working on a web site for jdmyard.com in exchange for parts so all the mods on the car are brand new and I haven't done more than 1000kms on the car since I have bought it. The SOHC Vtec engine is very damn responsive and the car sounds and handles fantastic. Paint is absolutely awesome. No accidents history. It's such an easy car to live with as a daily driver Reason for sale: I am selling it because I woke up this morning and decided that I want an Integra Type-R!!! Here is a list of the mods: BODY: Honda JDM rear spoiler Honda JDM front lip Honda JDM flat clear side indicators Spoon style power mirrors Carbon fibre bonnet Rear wiper removal Rolled guards ROLLING STOCK: Trampio semi-slick tyres (as used in the Mirage cup! 95+% tread left) 15inch Mugen MF10 replicas (5kg/wheel) SUSPENSION: Integra Type-R shocks Integra Type-R Rear Lower Control arm with nolathane bushes kg/mm springs (none of that cheap non JDM stuff here!) ENGINE: NGK spark leads Ground cables Simotta j'spec replica intake INTERIOR: Greddy gear knob Tenzo racing r pedals EXHAUST: Hi-tech stainless steel cat back 2 1/4 exhaust Hi-tech high flow stainless steel sports muffler (straight through) UNUSED: I will throw in ALL, yes ALL original stock parts that came off the car as I have kept everything and sold nothing. I am in SYDNEY. Looking for $16k (mods alone are worth over $3k, you do the math) car itself minus mods is worth an easy $15k in this condition with such low km's. Email me: [email protected] or PM me for more information.
  18. I have a question guys. So how does it feel? Better or worse? Do you find you miss gears every now and then? Does the short shifter rattle at all? I bought a TRD short shifter for my AE86 (now sold) and damn it was awesome. Very easy to install and the shifts felt 100 times more direct and very much like playing playstation!!! You basically shifted up and down. It was sometimes easier to miss 3rd gear and damn the shifter rattled like mad at high revs but the shift was so good I didn't mind. Different story with my GT-R though and the stock shifter in my GT-R doesn't feel so bad but very curious to read your reviews of your shifters.
  19. Just reviving this thread as I am interested in getting 5-10mm spacers for my GT-R to make it LOOK that much tougher. A) I know spacers are defectable but they'd never look there. Spacers don't tend to stand out too much visually. B) So long as they're hub-centric and also bolted on to the hub they're safe. C) They won't necessarily stuff up your geometry. In fact, according to tests with spacers in OPTION Magazine they will make your lap times FASTER. Yes. I have the magazine where they test different width spacers on track and record their lap times and times were reduced with spacers on. Now that's some good real world testing which cleared things up for me as I know my last car felt flatter through corners with spacers on.
  20. Assuming the roll cage is in great condition I'll make a starting bid/offer of $600. Please email me: [email protected]
  21. I really wanted this unit so I could try 30/70. The HKS one is no longer in production unfortunately so I will be sourcing one of these. funkymonkey I am still upset I didnd't get to buy your one. The price for one of these shipped to your door is: $740 AUD through greenline (I am sure you can get it cheaper as this is rrp).
  22. Man just when you think you're seeing the end of the need for cash spent on a GT-R you come across a thread like this?! The GT-R was made to race right? It's a race car. I can't believe I've had to do so much to it to get it to be a race car!!! Brakes: Definitely suck on my R32 GT-R and I'm still trying to get them to bite. I've resorted to ordering Racebrakes's best track pad at $710 a full set (damn it). Intercooler pipes: 1st track day, no boost restrictor and the driver side intercooler pipe blows off. It's a common problem apparently and happens all the time. WTF?! I have spent $880 on replacing all rubber pipes with a full HKS piping kit and invested big cash into an Apexi boost controller. Tyres: Yoko Grand Prix DNA tyres are no-where near good enough. I have just put on a set of Dunlop's best tarmac rally semi-slicks. $1500!!! Ouch but damn are they sticky or what?! Makes the car feel tight and small like driving a little mini now! Noticed my oil temp going up high last track day so I just bought an HKS Oil Cooler Kit w/Remote mount: $800 And now this sump baffle stuff?! Argh! All the cash I am making is going into this car which I only drive on track and the occasional weekend. Am I complaining though? Well yes... a little but damn I love my car! This GT-R's a keeper. What an amazing machine!
  23. Thanks guys. I have given Racebrakes a call. Greg was it? Very helpful guy. He didn't think too much of my EBC Greenstuff pads and suggested (since my car is primarily a track car) that instead of buying RB74 pads I go all the way and get their top of the line race pads all round so I have (Damn it $710!!!). If this doesn't stop me now I will be terribly upset!
  24. Hi all, I have read over a few threads on brake pads but I am a little worried that my brakes might have other problems outside of pad choice. I have an R32 GT-R and it's brakes are so bad I think my car should be defected! I have: - twice flushed the fluids and replaced with super Motul stuff - machined all rotors - replaced stock pads with EBC Greenstuff pads And still, after all of this work and cash I find the brakes to be shockingly bad. When I hit the pedal it feels squishy and soft and the car will pull up but only if I absolutely hammer the pedal in. When I really stab the brake I can hear the ABS "pshhht" but can't feel the ABS... strange shit. I am lost for direction now. Any suggestions? I know my brakes can get a lot better than this. I want the car set up for track days so I don't care how long the pads last me so long as they work. I don't care too much for cost at this stage as I need to be able to stop!!! But I would prefer to do problem solving on the kit I have on as oposed to splashing out on a new set of Brembos etc. Worse comes to worse I will have to travel out of the city to Wetherill Park to visit racebrakes but it's far away for me... unless any of you know some brakes specialists near the city in Sydney? Thanks in advance for any help.
