  1. Thanks Mick. So, can we conclude then that this little Gizmo (HKS Atessa controller) would not be great for track work as it would help to wear out components that otherwise would not be wearing down (as rapidly)? And can we also say that it's useless then?! I mean, maybe if your car was a daily driver and it was raining hard you could switch to 50/50 4WD. Is that about the only use for this expensive little electronic device? I wish I could find out more from people who have one fitted. I have tried to search for information on this for the past 30 minutes and only found some very vague comments.
  2. So is there any more news about ATESSA controllers? I want to know if driving it in 50/50 on a track day will kill my car.
  3. Just wondering.. a little off topic but are these kind of wings illegal in NSW? They look sharp and could potentially decapitate someone in an accident somehow? I woudn't mind one for track work as that's pretty much all I do in my GT-R.
  4. Hey T. Buy a JDM AE86! I miss my old one so much. It's a hatch so it can carry quite a bit with the rear seats down. The 4AGE is an awesome engine, revvy, punchy and it sounds so good. Rear wheels drive, lsd... man it's the most fun car I have probably ever driven!
  5. Have to say that perhaps thousands of members are wrong. Raising the bonnet has proven to raise temps in an engine bay!!! Read up: http://www.teirney.net/civic/BonnetSpacers.htm
  6. I used to use my GT-R as a daily driver. It's a great way to get to know your car. BUT... the GT-R uses way too much fuel and gathers too much attention at times so I've just bought myself an EG (1995) Honda Civic (bulletproof) as my daily driver. Here she is It's a fun little thing. Very much opposite to the GT-R and it's VERY chuckable on street corners and roundabouts especially
  7. Congrats on the purchase mate. I've had my R32 GT-R for a little while now and can I just say it's depthless. I don't think I will ever get bored of the car or ever really completely understand it! And if you are taking it on track (it's an R32 GT-R... you MUST!) leave the wing on! I have a feeling it would work pretty well on track.
  8. Cheers for the feedback guys. I move quickly and have just secured a purchase of some HKS dump pipes, front pipes and an oil cooler too. Looks like I'm set then huh?!
  9. Hi all, My R32 GT-R's coming along nicely. I've had it for over half a year now and I'm still getting to know it (and love it) more and more. It's primarily a track day/weekend car which I would like to keep street legal. I still don't know too much about engines and modifications in general available for the GT-R and thought I'd ask for help on these forums. I don't want crazy amounts of power but I do want a reliable car which can cope with long track days without any dramas. I have installed so far: - Complete Whiteline works package and a front strut brace. - HKS intercooler piping kit (as a stock pipe has blown off before) - Apexi boost controller (running 0.9bar) - Apexi pods (to keep it legal a custom pod box is in the making). - Dunlop semi slicks (these are amazing and have made the car much more responsive and they now keep my underwear clean) And the car came with a big fujitsubo cat back and Mines ECU. I am wondering what else I could do with to improve the car for track days? Some things I keep thinking about but don't know too much about whether or not they will make any difference to my car: - Oil cooler - Engine damper - 4 point harness - Dump pipes / front pipes - Rear strut brace - Interior floor brace Do these mods sound like the next step for me? Any feedback on what mods I should look at next would be great. Also.... Brakes are crap even after bleeding and using Motul. Any ideas?
  10. Thanks for the info guys. rs73 yes that's it. It's said that I will get better response from it and yes it will reduce stress on my engine mounts. HMM. I am wondering whether I really need it or not now. It's not too expensive in any case I suppose. I might try it.
  11. Hi all, I've been advised to put an engine damper on my RB26 (R32 GT-R). I'd like to know if any of you have had experiences with an engine damper and what it did for you and an estimate in costs would be great too as I have no idea about them. Thanks in advance for any help. Much appreciated.
  12. Hi all, I have a set of Yokohama DNA Grand Prix tyres for sale. These are JDM tyres and sold only to the Japanese market. You will not find these tyres for sale anywhere else but Japan. They were on my R32 GT-R. All tyres are 235 / 45 / ZR17 Tyres have seen 1 1/2 easy track days and have 80% tread left on them (assessed by my local Goodyear tyres service). Plenty of tread left. Reason for sale: I just bought myself some very expensive semi slicks!!! $500 for the set. I am in Sydney. Maroubra Beach. I will not transport them anywhere unless you organise pick-up. Email me at: justin@australianinfront.com.au (or PM me).
  13. Hi all, I've been tracking my R32 GT-R and I'm finding the brakes to be absolute rubbish. Looking to buy a set of Brembo brakes, preferably the complete set. Happy to pay good ca$h and prefer someone in Sydney with the goods. Please PM me. Thanks in advance.
  14. Hi all, I have a super phat JIC Magic strut brace to fit an EK Civic for sale. Selling at half the price for a quick sale (those who know me know I sell stuff too cheap!). I've done the bargaining down for you already so please down beat me down on price. $200 FIRM. I am located in Sydney, Maroubra Beach. I will ship it at your expense or swap you for a strut bar to suit my new little EG Civic. Email me at: justin@australianinfront.com.au
  15. Guys I have had so much interest for these wheels my damn PM box is full! WHEELS ARE SOLD! Thanks!
  16. Hi peeps. I have a set of NISMO LMGT1's to suit GT-R going super cheap. The polished lips on them are PERFECT but the centres are not perfect. The very centre of the hubs (where the lug nut holes are) are polished and the clearcoat is coming off them, the painted centres are OK but there are small signs of paint bubbling up very close to the polished centres. One NISMO sticker has a hairline scratch through it but damn they are still ultra fat and super nice wheels. I expect them to sell quick as I want $1500 FIRM for the lot of them!!! Please don't try to beat me down on this price as I'm already losing cash on these and I've set the price so I have done all the hard bargaining for you. Man that's cheap for these tough wheels and you know it. I would prefer pick up only but I will ship at your expense. In Sydney. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- WHEELS ARE SOLD -----------------------------------------------------------------------

Pick up only I will not ship them unless I really have to, or you are really serious.
