So is that the one i need?
-
so whats the verdict? Yay or nay?

Twins or single?.....................
-
yeah please do so. But im assuming if some cheap chinese boost control solenoid designed to controll a simple single setup will work ok as STATUS and GUILT-TOY describe then im hoping this mac valve will be suficient. Fingers crossed anyway!!!
-
Thats what i was hoping to hear mate. Im sure trent of all people knows what hes on about hence posting the link. I will be sure to let you know how the tuning goes!..... Unless someone with experience tells me it wont work in the meantime! haha
-
Yeah might do that mate. Especialy after guilt toy said all those other stocko rb solenoids work!!!
-
Can someone please fill me in on where to purchase the correct mac valve from? Surely someone must know where I can get something that will work! Really need this by next week if possible!

Need More Lock On R32
Mark-32 replied to GTS4WD's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
nigels knuckles aren't shit bro...... Looks to me like I got a shit load more lock than you, and thats running 17x10s +30. And the driverside wheel is touching castor rod on the inside, and when i put 25mm wheel spacers on that fixes that problem and it doesnt hit chassis rail or castor rod. Just needs a bit more gaurd work. I think you will find its the ackerman you want to correct, in drifing anyway, and as old mate said its not good to slander. Especialy when you dont know what your on about..... -
God dam it! I spose i shouldnt believe everything I read hey....! I did specify in my original post I was running twins so thanks for that STATUS. Luck it was only 15 bucks. lol Anyone need a mac valve for single turbo setup? $5.....? As XRATED said anyone got the part number for the bigger mac valve? and where can i purchase it from?
-
Yep I did buy that one after status posted the link. I then went on the vipec site and saw there were two. Will it still work?
-
Yeah thats sick. Especialy when it will run wastegate pressure when wheelspinning. How could I run the traction control if i dont have abs then mate? My car is a 32gtst without abs How can I set up the speed inputs off the front wheels to use this function, and how would the vipec know the back wheels were spinning if the digital inputs where running off the front? Or does in know what gear im in somehow? Does this take heaps of stuffing round to get right?
-
Yeah I think thats the way to go by just running the inline switch to the valve. Seems pretty simple. Can anyone explain how the launch controll works? Never looked into this function but Im very interested in this as my rb26 is converted to rwd and this could be very usefull for me. I would also like to set this up at the same time i retune the car to wind the boost up. I must say I was already impressed with the vipec unit after my initial run in tune. It continues to impress me and i have only ever used power fc before and not bagging the pfc but compared to the vipec they are worlds apart. Any info on the launch control setup would be greatly appreciated. Cheers for the info guys.

I forgot to ask will this be ok to use with two wastegates? 2860 -5's? Just had a look on the vipec website and there are two types of mac valves?
-
Legend mate. Man that was easy Its on its way $15.50 to my door.
-
Anyone know where i can get one of these from?
-
This may seem like a dumb question but what does the 'mac' stand for when you say mac valve? Im assuming a mac valve is just an electronic boost control solenoid....? And its this that gets wired directly to the ecu and the ecu controls it and does the rest? And if I run the in cabin missle type switch inline with the valve i could turn the valve on or off with the switch? On being the high boost setting, and off being stock boost? Sorry for all the questions just trying to nut it all out!
-
Is it possible to run a high and a low setup? Like an in cabin switch- low being what the actuators run standard, and high being what ever psi we tune it for?
-
Is there any particular solenoid i need to run with the vipec?
-
Just wondering what peoples thoughts are on this. I will be winding the boost up on my built 26 engine in a couple of weeks, just dont know if im better of geting a bleed valve and dyno it that way or buying a electronic solenoid and doing it through the ecu. Havn't heard much about the boost control setup of the vipec ecu hoping someone with some knowledge can fill me in. The engine has recently been run in and has -5's fitted with all the supporting mods. Im looking to run up around 20-24 psi

Shed Clean Out. Rb26/20 Parts

Hi mate, I have a genuine greddy oil cooler with lines that i bought a while back. Can I purchase the oil filter relocation kit seperately and if so will the braided hoses I have that go to and from my cooler fit the oil filter relocator? I purchased a cheap relocator and sandwich plate that I put on my new built engine, the sandwich plate blew off the side of the block at 9000rpm and sprayed 10 litres of oil through jpc's dyno room. The thread on the sandwich plate was detroyed, so i want to be sure this wont happen agian. Cheers Mark

Stuff still for sale no reasonable offer refused Clutch HKS Pod filter Rb 26 Cams RB26 Pistons and Rods Rb26 oil pick up And Complete RB20 wiring loom with all plugs intact All parts are in good condition -
I got a pair of x-force split dumps from hi octane for a pretty reasonable price man. In my case they made good numbers on the dyno even on low boost levels too. Obviously not as good quality as the more expensive dumps like tomei etc but for value for money they are the go and far better than the ebay stuff and other low-end chinese rubbish that cracks and does not last! Hope that helps.

Its not quite as simple as everyone makes out. I have just completed this conversion on my 32 gtst. As everyone says the sump has to be modded. Theres a couple of different ways to go about it. But because of all the oil starvation issues the 26 engines are renowned for, if you are going to block the driveshaft holes up you may as well increase the capacity and add baffles/ trapdoors while your at it. I ended up geting mine done through high octane racing and they did a top job and the capacity is around 10litres. I used a 33 box, and had to have the tailshaft cut as 33 tailshaft didnt fit and niether did my old 32 tailshaft. Everyone told me that the 33 tailshaft would fit but this was not the case. In regards to wiring, I used the complete 26 loom from ecu to engine but didnt use the body loom which ran from the electrical box on the drivers side of the engine bay to a plug on the 26 loom. This caused a few issues as that provides power to injectors and something else. We had to run a seperate power wire to join that back up and installed the resistor pack. There are heaps of other little thing that you dont think about and the comment that someone made saying what ever your budget is for conversion double it could not be more true. If you have any questions dont hesitate to ask
