  1. what about that durafix stuff?just an idea
  2. the nuts are not working loose imo, maybe the thread pitch is 1.25, its over a year since i fitted the turbo, the lock nuts are about 17 mm and squashed oval, the stud actually stretches when it reaches red heat,it was far worse when I had the .63 housing from atp , I know what i need roughly just I cannot find them local to me
  3. Im looking for inconel bolts and lock nuts for my own 3071 spacer set up,iirc the studs need to be about 50 - 60 mm and the thread pitch is m10 x 1.5 I cannot seem to locate the studs anywhere, pm me if you know where I can source the studs as im tired of tightening the existing arp studs about once every few months thanks in advance
  4. so so many negative people! try it and see and report back your results, its better to do that than give these cocks the chance to spout off, in the real world they would just get a punch in the mouth and be on their way but this is the internet and the cock is free to shxit on everyone, I believe the idea is at least worth trying, best of luck with it!
  5. nobody in their right mind would do this to a working engine surely, you need a slap in the face lol not a destroked rb25, why the hell would people use rb30s? oh i just realized...school holidays... has to be
  6. was the test performed properly as in, fuel pressure dumped, throttle wide open all plugs removed?

  8. its quite reasonabel to suspect a boost leak, its the cheapest and easiest to find, as stated before im only interested in the guy getting his car sorted and giving plenty abust to those that are full of crap, enjoy your nm35s lads
  9. outside the Japanese language we are it for the vq25det, congrats maybe i touched a nerve ha ha where exactly do you think i work by the way? and how do you get the impression i think these cars run on carbs? perhaps i should put more info for you in my personal profile?maybe my hourly rate?
  10. ill always take the piss out of the internet mechanics because i empathise with the person with the fault who has to trawl through all the endless shite posted to find their problem, afm should have been fault code 12 on the ecu iirc, when diagnosing a fault with these symptoms i would always check intercooler pipework first then interrogate the ecu for fault codes for the others eg afm cas ect ect, usually with the afm the car just wont go above 2krpm, i just wish i had more time to give the internet mecs more abuse
  11. what, you think i get my knowledge from these forums and the internet? has the guy resolved the problem?have you got a better call cockmaster? dont call me friend either
  12. intercooler pipe has likely blown off, lol at the internet mechanics

  16. spilt coolant white smoke?
  17. how long do you have to stay on p plates?is it done on age?
  18. so you reckon a tig aint any good to weld car pannels? i would have thought it useful no?
  19. now i may be ignorant here but if a p plate is like our l plate in ireland all ye should be allowed to drive is one litre baby cars! too mank kids stick powerful cars into regular people, as for driving a rwd skyline,my god are you mad?
  20. at such high rpm the valves are getting smashed open very fast,im sure this can induce oscilation and vibration and if the frequency/resonance ect was right eg 9krpm!!! then it may rattle round in the guide support and fatigue it rather quickly, especially in a ported head where the guide is unsupported by the head casting for the final portion, and of course that final ingreedient that makes all our lives so great POT LUCK the primary cause of engine failure!lol
  21. piece of the guide jams the valve open and piston bends it
  22. i fitted the inlet adj pulley fine and still havent diled in the poncams, there just in the standard position
  23. i have one but never fitted it, the japanese instructions put me off, they seemed to say to use different timming marks?can anybody please translate?excelent quality product, just the fact that the standard vct gear is actually adjustable as standard on series one engine anyway, just you have loads of work to do it. interested in this subject more knoledge please!
