  1. Howdy, Is the bonnet still up for sale? I'm also in the adelaide hills and am keen to have a look at it. Can you PM me a contact phone number if it's still avaliable Cheers, Geoff
  2. Howdy, I'm still running the standard GTR calipers but with slotted rotors. If I can find a pad that is upto it I would like to stay with the calipers I have due to the cost of upgrading. I looked into up grading to the Brembo from the R spec and found them to be quite expensive for what you get. Have also looked into some Willwood calipers and two piece rotors from the UK, But it's all a little out of my price range for now. Has anyone used the Willwood package on a GTR? Cheers, Geoff.
  3. Howdy, My GTR is a track car only (310 rwKw) and I use EBC yellow pads. They work ok but the front pads only last about 25 laps at Mallala and then are worn down to the backing plates. ( doing 1:18 sec laps) I realise Mallala is hard on brakes. 220 km/h to almost a dead stop for the northern hair pin. Does any one know of a longer lasting pad that works? Has anyone used HAWK brand pads? Cheers, Geoff
  4. Howdy, I have stripped all of the interia out of my R32 GTR to turn it into a race car, so now it is all for sale: Both front seats complete with seat belts. Rear seat complete with seat belts. Roof lining including interia light All carpets. Door and side panel trim including plastic trim pieces. Boot liner and carpet with all plastic trim and space saver tyre/rim I would like to sell it all together for $1100 but will consider splitting it up if the price is right. There is more bits and pieces/fittings avaliable. Just ring me and I will let you know what else is avaliable. All parts are in Adelaide, northern suburbs. Cheers Geoff 0418 826 384

  8. Howdy, I have only had the GTR out a couple of times, it's a non registerable import, so the only runs it gets is on the race track. The local "experts" at the track all say to remove the rear steering. I have not checked the wheel alignment as I was waiting to remove the rear rack first. What settings would you recommend? I set my last race car up with: front 2mm toe out and 4 degrees neg camber rear 2mm toe in and 2 degrees neg camber. I relise all car models are different and would appreciate any help/advice you can give. Cheers Geoff
  9. Howdy, I have a R32 GTR and want to remove the rear steering rack as it steers weired at Mallala race way. especially powering out of the northern hair pin. the rear keeps trying to step out when under full boost and I don't think it is all power related. So does anyone know where I can get a HiCas bar from in Adelaide? and instructions as to what power steering lines to remove / block when I remove the rear rack? Thanks for your help Cheers, Geoff.
  10. Howdy, Sorry for the delay in answering, a lot has happened in the last week. I bought the car from a company who deal with exporting cars from Japan all the time. Part of the deal is FOB. My understanding is this means Freight On Board (or something like that) which means they will hold the car until you are ready to have it placed on a boat. Last week my import approval arrived in the mail and the car arrived in Brisbane. Just waiting on Australian customs to release it and will then get it trucked to Adelaide. Cheers, Geoff
  11. Howdy Kristian, I thought I would leave my broker alone until I had my approval. Will call the 1800 number Monday if no news this week. And then my Broker with: Is it here yet? Is it here yet? Is it here yet? Is it here yet? Is it here yet? Is it here yet? Is it here yet? Is it here yet? Is it here yet? Cheers, Geoff
  12. Howdy, Last month I sold my Datsun 1200 coupe. It was a sports sedan Race car, Fj20 motor, 100mm flares, 9" slick tyres, 4 wheel disc brakes etc, etc. I have now bought a R32 GTR as a replacement race car and am looking forward to it arriving from Japan. The R32 hopefully has 500hp (as the dyno sheet showed) and should be quicker than the 1200. Don't laugh, the 1200 coupe was quick as it only weighed 800kg. So I have no dought I will be asking the same stupid questions as every one else has done on this forum in the past. "sorry about that" The up side is that I am an Instrumentation fitter and am going to work out how the electronics on one of these work and how to beat or cheat it. I've already got the 810 page service manual as a starting point. wish me luck . . . . Cheers Geoff
  13. Howdy, I have bought a R32 GTR in japan and have applied to Canberra for import approval as a race / rally car. They say it can take upto 17 days to get approval. What I would like to know from some one who has done the same is how long does it really take? Cheers, Geoff ps. there will be a full interia for sale as soon as the car arrives in Adelaide.
