  1. Of course it's the end of his career. Realistically he didn't have any other options. McLaren have their line-up for the next ten years I think, Ferrari appear to want to keep Massa and Alonso or replace one with a young driver. RBR are the only other decent car on the grid atm. He may have to keep reminding them he's as good a chance as Vettel to win races, but aside from that it's too late in his career to go to a new team. I think he only had two or three years left in him in any case. He's 34 this year and most F1 drivers retire in their late 30s (unless you're a 7-time world champion who just can't let it go). F1 teams know that and few would take him now.
  2. Have we set a date yet?
  3. Naturally. I've never bowled 200 in my life actually. I'll probably bowl 80 now that i've talked myself up :-)
  4. Would like to be there but I don't think I'm eligible yet ... I'll try to get to the next one though!
  5. Will be there. I'll make sure I bowl under 200 to not embarass anyone ...
  6. Will be there for sure. Cruise + dyno night = WIN!
  7. Definitely sounds like the guy to talk to. I can afford a decent clutch but don't anticipate putting a lot of power through it for a while so I'd like to get something tough enough to handle normal street driving with a fairly stock RB26. Doesn't need to be able to handle massive power yet as by the time I can afford those engine mods I'll probably be due for my next clutch. I just want something reliable ... the one I've got has a firm pedal but I'm used to it now, so as long as it's not worse I'll be happy.
  8. I think we'll have to find a new playground for a while...
  9. Not sure what your point is. MY point is that not only is Vettel not faultless, he is entirely at fault. If you're driving down the road and someone slams into the side of you while you're in your lane, it's not your fault. Webber gave Vettel enough room to make the pass. All Vettel had to do was maintain his line as Webber was doing. He did NOT need to swerve to the right to make the corner.
  10. What's wrong with asking for clarification? I was genuinely confused. I thought there might be some hidden significance to the different spelling. If it's a pun I don't get it. As far as making it a permanent thread, I have to scroll through the new topics on SAU to find the latest Apple Peel/Peal post, whereas once I subscribe to a topic I get emails of every post. I find it easier that way but it's just my personal preference.
  11. You do know how to spell peeled right? Pealed with an A refers to ringing a bell. That's been bugging me since the first cruise I went on
  12. PS Could we please create a permanent Apple Peal thread? It's a pain having to find the new threads every week.
  13. I thought it was last night and I'd missed it! Stoked that it's tonight instead ... I'll be there! Hope I don't kill my clutch ...
  14. If he comes back I will eat his helmet. Who would want him now?
  15. Might try again with full-size images
  16. Here's mine from that day: Can't pass up a background like that!
  17. No, that's WWE. F1 occasionally resembles it though.
  18. I work in a servo and this happens all the time. I have plenty of regulars I see either daily or a few times a week. But none of them are skylines! Seriously, I see Skylines drive past all the time, and none of you come visit me
  19. QFT. You don't become WDC by rolling over. Had Webber moved over to let Vetool through he would have been doing it for the rest of the season. Vetool would expect it, the team would expect it, and Webber would just fall into the habit of following him home. In a funny way this was a win for Webber. Sure, he lost the race, but he still finished third and Vetool got nothing. More importantly, he showed that he's not going to cave to Vetool. Vetool will think twice before trying that again. I think he's the one who will blink next time.
  20. If you don't trust the Aussies, ask everyone else. Maybe Aussies are more in Mark's favour but the vast majority of F1 fans all over the world agree that it was Vettel's fault.
  21. Completely different situation. Schumacher's car was already disabled, he had no chance of holding Hill off. Hill was also well past Schumacher, further than Vettel was. You're also talking about a slow corner rather than a fast straight. Schumacher deliberately took Hill out because he knew he had no chance of retaking the position. Webber had a chance of maintaining the lead because the upcoming left was followed by a right that he would have had the inside line for. The same didn't apply to Schumacher. Vettel hit Webber while Webber was driving in a straight line. Schumacher hit Hill in a desperate dive going into a corner that had no chance of success. Webber and Vettel both had options for taking/keeping the lead. Schumacher had none and deliberately took Hill out. There's no comparison.
  22. I pray for that day too. The only thing I would add is that I hope he wins three more championships with his new team ... and moons RBR every time.
  23. I don't think holding your line a car-width from the edge of the road is "squeezing". Squeezing is when you move your car towards the other guy to get him to move or back off ... wait, that was Vettel, wasn't it? So what if they're teammates? Doesn't mean Webber has to let him win. So what if Vettel was faster? Doesn't mean Webber should let him past. I don't understand why people are blaming Webber just because he made it difficult for Vettel. Vettel had enough room to pass if he maintained his line. Webber didn't move across, Vettel did. That's clear from the footage. All Vettel had to do was stay where he was and outbrake Webber, if he could. Webber has no need to make it "easy" for Vettel. This is F1, not a friendly game of tag. Vettel's a big boy, he's an F1 driver, he should know how to overtake people without ramming them. Webber has every right to defend his position and he did so by simply holding his line. Had Vettel done the same there would have been no accident, and he may well have passed Webber.
  24. Purple 32 (I think) with SAU stickers on Dorset rd
