Some depressing maths for you ... even if Webber wins the remaining seven races, Vettel need only average fourth to win the championship. What odds of either of those things happening?
Lewis admits fault for Kobayashi shunt
I watched Kobayashi's line very carefully on the replay and he never deviated from his line ... if you're the overtaking car it's on you to miss the other car if they hold their line. It's not like Kobayashi braked extra late, he just maintained position as is his right. He's not obliged to park his car to get out of Lewis' way.
It was great. Apparently the reason he had a go at Eau Rouge was he was pissed off about his start ... I'd rather see him get off the line properly, but there's nothing wrong with Mark getting a bit fired up!
I sincerely doubt Kubica will ever be back. It's very rare for a driver to come back after such a severe injury, or to be competitive if he does. I genuinely hope I'm wrong, I like him, but I'll believe it when I see it.
Good result from Ricciardo.
I'm a little disappointed Hamilton didn't make it onto the podium. I was looking forward to him having a World Champion level sook about the drive-through
I figured they'd wait until post-race for Hamilton, but not surprised that he got done.
Pitting for inters looks like a strategic blunder ... it's so hard to call that though. Get it right and you're a hero, get it wrong and you throw away 30 seconds.
He's making genuine progress and doing it pretty quickly. He was hoping to be close to Liuzzi at the end of the race and he's doing better than that. Another race or two and he may begin challenging the Virgins
Could be interesting to see what happens if the rain falls as forecast (I know, but it COULD happen). Might be a 50/50 call to put wets on or stay on slicks ...
Hamilton is beating Webber by two tenths in sector one, but Mark is hammering Hamilton to the tune of half a second or more in sector two. Webber pulling away slowly.
Schumacher again showing why he should have stayed retired.
