Official Team Northside Dinner - Thursday June 28th 2007
shonen replied to Blitz's topic in Events Archive
X2 Hahahahaha -
My baby is going through a makeover atm, 3 months off the road and counting  Here are some progress pics.... The rims are temp, had to borrow it off a mate cause the old GT-Cs have found a new home Pumped rear guards FTW The 17s make the car look too high Finally the kit has been modified to fit the new rear guards and fitting is almost complete. The car was towed back to G&S late yesterday afternoon. Now it just needs to be rubbed back and resprayed !
-
Its a C West front bar. Dont have it anymore though....
-
Id say the stock turbo will die before the stock bov does.
-
Also in regards to the Neo cover you dont REALLY need it. I took mine off ages ago and removed the brackets holding it as well. Weight reduction !!! Here is an old pic of it on the car.
-
Even if you have a greddy fmic as long as you have kept the stock cross over pipe that the stock bov is attached to, there is no real need to change it. I went through that phase, I had a GFB and a Type RS in the end I changed it to back to the stock one. I currently have a Type R because I went for a high mount turbo and could not keep the standard piping or the bov. I kind of mucked around with the cover and I painted it myself, haha yeah I got bored. The condition aint too bad, but like I said its yours if I can find it, meaning you can have it. Im not about to haggle or chase after someone for $20 or so. PM me if your interested. When I go back to my parents house next week Ill have a look for it and get back to you.

x2 Thanks nismoid....saves me from typing all that PS If you want a PFC I can get one for you.
-
Pretty sure PFCs are still available for the ER34. I have had both the AVC-R and the Blitz ID3. The Blitz ID3 is better by a country mile ! I hated the AVC-R. Besides dual solenoids gotta be better than single solenoid !! For boost controllers the new HKS EVC is up there as well, im considering changing to it to try it out later on. Stock bov is good as long as you keep the stock piping. No need to change. NEO cover aint expensive and it is only a matter of 4 bolts to "install" I THINK I have mine lying around somewhere if I can find it and the bolts its yours. Earls are a pretty reputable brand, im pretty sure most workshops use them for their braided lines and connectors, valves etc.

Ahh the old NEO plenum issue eh ? I researched this many moons ago !! I only recently found out that plazmaman have made a bolt on kit for the neos, so when the time comes I will be giving them a call to find out more info on them. Saw the pics on the website already, they look the part at least ! For the time being I have decided to keep the stock plenum as many tuners in Japan leave the stock one on there unless they are aiming for 600ps +. However when I was doing my research on them, since the plazmaman kit was not available yet there were only two "bolt on" options I could go for. 1. Purchase a Greddy plenum for the 33 and make it fit. In order to make it fit though, new holes will need to be drilled in the cylinder head as the stud patterns are different on the neo head, something which I DIDNT want to do. 2. A company that goes by the name of Ricoh Racing in Japan make adapter plates so you can bolt on an RB26 plenum on there. Nomuken uses them on his D1 cars. If I decide to develop the car further (still contemplating) I think I will do the engine internals first than crank up the boost and see what power she makes, then maybe go for the plenum and Q45 throttle body to see gains I get. Which brings me to my question as to what throttle body you used on the plazmaman plenum ? On their website they recommend using either the R33 throttle body or a 70mm race spec one which they are soon to released or have they released it already ? I would also love to see some of your before and after dyno printouts oh and of course some pics

I agree with scathing. Fujitsubo Legalis R will give the performance gains you wont without being too noisy. I had one on my car previously and it was infact TOO quiet for my liking so I changed to a buddyclub, which after changing to an aftermarket turbo is a little too loud for my liking ! haha third times a charm I guess ! Im thinking of going for the 5Zigen cat back. They arent too loud and comes with a nice titanium finish on the tip.

I imported a genuine BN Sports kit for mine, currently at the workshop being fitted up etc. If your after a GENUINE kit from Japan, then its going to cost you. The cost of the actual kit will be exy + the frieght charge on top as the box it comes in is massive. If you want something unique that not everyone has then id say go for it, otherwise to be honest its not really worth the money. Just make sure you get the a copy of the kit your after from someone reputable like Peter at Bodyform. I went for the BN kit for a number of reason: -At the time of purchase there were no copies available. Only copies around were Cwest, Bomex and URAS (similar to BN but not quite) oh and the odd Top Secret and Impul front bars going around. - I had a soft spot for the URAS kit cause of Nomukens D1 car but there were already a few people with this kit and the 2 door version doesnt look all that good and I instantly fell in love when I saw the BN kit haha

$3,000 Reward For Information Leading To Arrest
shonen replied to satanic's topic in New South Wales
Well since this thread was raised from the dead anyways I guess I might as well reply to this hehe. I didnt see this until now, dont post much these days Yeah Andrew what your saying might be true. But my car wasnt keyed in my neighbour hood actually I live out in the sticks so there is no where to park except my own garage. On top of that I live in a semi rural area and there are little animals, children and elderly around the area and I know better than to hoon on my own street. It was keyed 8 times at unsw car park on two seperate occasions. Ie keyed in 5 places first time and 3 places second time including a massive one on the bonnet. Then the ninth time which was on the boot was in front of Hyde Park near the old amex building. The car has also been egged and people have spat on it all in different locations and different times of the year. Not only that some f*cking prick smashed the drivers side mirror and keyed the passenger door of the Hiace I am currently driving around in last week, probably some drunk idiots on their way back home. I think its just pure bad luck on my part. As for driving like a hoon, no im not gonna deny it cause we are all guilty of driving like that at least once, some more frequent than others. But I dont purposely try to piss people off with my driving or cut them off dangerously. My definition of hoon is going over the speed limit a bit and revving out in lower gears when its not really necessary. Everything else I keep it for the circuit Well the car hasnt been touched by vandals for almost 18 months now (touch wood). -
Spotted Marsss on Parra rd near Petersham heading towards the city. I was in the Hiace going the opposite direction, hahaa beeped at your for aaages..

Damn looks like I missed another great day !!! and god damn whose DC5R is that ?? SOOOO nice....and what power did it make ? looks like it has a monster turbo strapped to the side.
