Don't want to sound like a winging pohm, im sorry but whats the crack with your driving out here???? I've lived and worked in few places around the world including Spain that I considered one of the worst places to drive, until I come here. OK i'm not the best driver in the world ill openly admit that and a lot of this is written tongue in cheek so dont ALL get on your high horse ALL at once as you guys are some of the nicest people in the world but that goes out the window as soon as your behind the wheel of a car. Jeez us im going down the freeway @ 100k (limit) IN THE SLOW LANE GOING PASSED A CAMERA might i add and someone comes up behind me and wanting me to speed up and get out the way!! is it too hard to over take? When they do over take they shout and curse im going too slow yet dont speed up themself and over take me a 1 or 2 k faster wtf I've also seen people try and over take in the hard shoulder too!!!!! I pull up to a junction too turn left and a car, coming from the left thinks it can own both side of the road and cuts the corner off and drives up MY side of the road stright for me forcing me to stop and let them into there drive. She Didnt even bat an eyelid to what could have been a nasty head on smash that id rather not re live thanks. I'm in a car park, go to reverse into a space and someone pulls up behind me and stops me reversing. I wouldnt mind as sometimes peoples intentions arnt all that clear but the angle of the car the empty space the reverse lights and the fact i was actually going backwards as there come up might just give a hint to what im trying to do Dose indicating not mean anything over here? Seems if you do you should ignore it and if you dont you should take a wild guess coz the guy behind needs to be some where pritty quick and your holding him up. Same goes for red lights I thought red was STOP and green was GO please correct me if im wrong Oh and whats the deal with not saying thanks if I give you right of way. Is it too hard too flash your lights or stick your thumb up or even give a nod? Nope you just drive passed blank face fixated on the road. Should I be more selfish and arrogant? And theres this wonderful thing called a mirror. I would really look into finding out how it works your be amazed. Guy beside me in the fast lane im doing 80k car infront of me by about 1.5 car lengths also doing 80k, car in fast lane staggered in front of me just under a cars length in front. The car beside me wants to go faster drops it down a gear and boots it through the gap between me and the car in front of him. I locked up and nearly spun it and for what???? It appeared he just wanted to be in front as he didnt speed off in the distance That last one really got me annoyed But hay other then that im having a good time here lol

I would not use the Nissan gasket theres better out there for far less imho and i would also change the turbo to manifold gasket at the same time again theres better out there for far less and also the copper washer/gasket that are needed for the oil and water for the turbo 2 each it will just leak if you re uses it 9 times out of ten I brought the entire kit thats 12 bolts washers yokes studs (gaskets three number), turbo to manifold, manifold, and exhaust down pipe gasket and 3 studs and at least 4 copper gaskets for less then $250 Click the link below in my sig "snapped manifold stud DIY removal" i done mine myself never done anything like it before and no a few people that have followed it and it also worked for them too Most places where I come from will not touch it or your looking at $1500 plus to have done IF I COULD DO IT TRUST ME ANYONE CAN!!!!!

But have you noticed that they dont do anything in the UK hardly you no why because its cheaper to take the car somewhere else less bs and red tape My mum bought a MAZDA 3 just before I come out hear and it was held in Poland or somewhere because the tax is so high on new cars its cheaper to export hold it then import it back when there sold in the UK talk about stupid. We are screwed over big time and thats just the car industry let alone the huge tax on plane travel. Get this its actually cheaper to travel from France first, then go to your onward final destination if your going to out of Europe, because the green tax is so expensive now my Parents are actually saving £500 doing that when they come over here to see me in June? I just dont get it, the country must be full of stupid people not to see there getting arse rapped left right and centre yet say "its not that bad" Im not proud to be British anymore infact i think its an insult and im actully quite ashamed i was born there
-
I hate the UK. I hate being British. I have no idea why so many people think its a great place. Its dull its wet its expensive and been run in to the ground further by some fat twat that dosnt have a clue what he's doing and is only there by default anyway. Ok maybe its nice to visit but not to live. But then you guys probable think the same. Yes they what us to drive more eco friendly cars because of global warming blar blar blar so tax gas guzzerlers out of exsistance and thats just about anything over 1.8 yet dont allow enough access to alternative fuel or cars run by electric Hell they even have an emission tax on top of a congestion charge in some place in london All because the tree hugers think the worlds going to end. When you take in to account the emission and the foot print left by places like the U.S and China the U.K is so insignificant The tax makes no sense anyway Skyline GTST you pay £205 a year in tax as the age of the car its done on engine size not emissions new cars are done on emissions as a "green tax" the greener the car the less tax you pay. BUT I drive an "old" car that creates carbon craters and pay HALF the cost in tax per year then that of a new eco friendly car. Humm let me think about what car ill go and get er yeah i think ill go pre 2001 and pay less tax der There's no logic. Sorry about the rant.

Yes really If you pass your test at 17 your be lucky if you could get insurance on anything for under £1000 around $1700 average is around £1500 $2150 per year 3rd party only!!!!!! You can forget anything over 1.2lt for the first few years unless your pre paired to pay the down right outrages insurance costs some people do. I no some that payied nigh on $5000!!!!! to insure a Skyline but they are young 21 22 and the insurance company see them as a high risk its not untill your 25/30 that your insurance comes down to a more reasonable cost. I still think mine is a rip off for my Skyline line at £450 odd f/c still nearly a grand $$$ but that is thought to be very good with all mods de cleared and covered like for like with curtasy car and legal thrown in My mate bought a 1.6 206 pug he was 23 cost him nigh on $3000 per year to insure it f/c just because it was sold as an sxi that year!!!!!! the year before same car same colour but no badge would have cost him $1500 per year less wtf??????
-
i must admit i didnt think you would get that, some might say lame joke lol
-
Wasnt anything to do with me mate i just got the car there (from half way round the world) England dont have as many Skylines as you guys have so yeah i would imagine there are more driving around on you left nut. personally id get that looked at but what ever tickles your fancy. Its a pleasure to own one back home most times your stopped and asked questions about it almost everyday

Yeah so much more fun a real drivers car none of that "computer says no bollox"

Can Someone Shed Some Light On Boost Gauge
jjskyline79 replied to SL33K's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
That's not completely true The stock gauge is not accurate in its "reading" but the way it measures pressure mmHg is actually one of the best ways because it is self compensating. I.E it takes into account atmostpheric pressure so you get a true boost reading shame the actual gauge is so crap Ps yes if you boot it and its stock it should only boost to around 340 to 400mmHg around 7psi or half a bar however boost can increase via exhaust, down pipes (dump pipes), filters (pods), decat a whole array of things. What you do not want to do it over boost the turbo. -
By all accounts it was not easy take a look here and thats just a fraction of the problems almost didnt get the tickets because Silverstone and its piss poor managing agents would'nt send them out. and they want to host the F1 yeah good luck on that one. http://www.skylineowners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=140908

220 plus in the end still waiting for it to be confirmed but confident its is Heres a few pictures. I was unable to attend coz im here (not a bad thing at all) but the car did so, i'm happy lol anyway just a few photos enjoy PS sorry if this is in the wrong place or been covered already. There looks like there's alot of negative camber????? (is that right) in this picture, since i put the adjustable camber arms on but its showing its the right setting on the 4 wheel lazer thing and it dont eat tyres soooooo any ideas And below looks like the damn clocks playing up again check the taco out against the Neo showing about 950rpm lol I think hes also got a far bit of video too to pass on with any luck he might edit it into something nice for us all lol

I have the fujitsubo legalis r on my R33 GTST and it was 90 dB when tested Some how i carnt see how EVERY after market exhaust can be illegal because that means you can only ever fit stock parts and if that car goes out of production like our Skylines then parts stop being made and become harder to source and pattern parts start to become more avab and at the fraction of the cost. (sometimes) This of course happens before hand as well but you get the picture. We have a company called aj auto parts that basically sells pattern parts im sure you have something close There not stock parts so would they be illegal????

Interesting videos about the desal plant and piping water from taz even I passed them on (a Pohmy would you Adam and Eve it????) common sense where the f**k did it go???? Thing is after it all being said and done and even if you managed to over turn anything they would only come back with a "revised" plan later and say something like "we didnt ask the right questions at the right time" And as there are a lot of stupid people out there they only have too bank on them??? der its red this time!!!! Yeah man gets my vote You fools shakes head
-
Also sounds like a cold start valve problem but i dont no if the rb even has such a thing
-
no worries from what i no the 02 sensor only works at low revs anyway so after around 2200 its not used but im no expert
-
You can forget cat sensor that just lets you no if your cats on fire. Fuel pump not likely temp sensor could be tps doubt it but 02 sensor more likely imo my advise change it anyway
-
I think you just answered your own question Yes is the simple answer I would have factored in the cost of replacement coils when i bought my Skyline. Most are coming on to between 10 and 15 years old now so its about time regardless of mileage, sorry kilometers to think about changing them. There bound to have started to brake down from the heat at the very least. Why was this not picked up on the test drive though?????? Other things that I replaced regardless when I bought mine were Oil oil filter and spark plugs AFM 02 Sensor brake fluid and coolent cam belt and brake pads and disks ALL of the above is the min and not really that expensive and really should be done anyway imo to give you peace of mind If you think its expensive then maybe a Skyline is not the car for you. Also cut out issues and rough running can also be coursed by a loom that runs under the the drivers side wheel arch plastic. The wires become corroded and split you might want to have a look at that too.

It There A Diy On Coil Pack Cleaning?
jjskyline79 replied to ryan101's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Try this as well while you at it Worked for a while at least on mine but soon ditched the coils and bought splitfires http://www.skylineowners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=29342 -
AVCR is all your ever want and more best one i've used to date. Some disagree but I've installed and set it up on several cars and once its set up correctly I've have had no issues with holding stable boost.
-
You have got it no where near as bad as the U.K. trust me on that one Like i said before i would fight tooth and nail for this country to keep all the pc bollox and do gooders to a minority so they dont f**k it up any more. Im British and I actually find Britain offensive!!!! whats that tell you?????
