  2. i used Big Kev's goo remover. 1. peel off tint 2. dab goo remover on gluey residue. let it penetrate for 60 seconds. 3. wipe/rub off residue with damp rag (repeat steps 2 & 3 millions of times) LOL.
  3. i parked last saturday lunch time at exhibition st corner victoria parade in the city... i was walking on the sidewalk then next thing i see is this honda accord backed in to the front of my skyline! apparently, the guy was getting coins for the parking meter and the car rolled backwards across 2 lanes and into my car my car will need panel beating, replacemnt indicator, repair of fibreglass front bar, and respray... and he's a poor student with no insurance. 1. anyone know where i can source a clear right indicator for an R32? or should i just let my insurance handle everything? 2. anyone with Young And Cool Insurance (i am)? I hope they dont give me any problems with my claim... 3. anyone know, since it is not my fault, this should not affect my no claims bonus or my premium? just goes to show, no matter how good or careful a driver you are... if u are meant to be in an accident.... arrgh!! thanks to anyone who replies.
  4. how much for the tail lights and rear bumper... i'm thinking of a coupe lights conversion..... hmmm
  5. me too, sirfixalot. - will they fit an R32 GTS? (front&back) - how much would the freight be? thanks
  6. check out: http://www.dotars.gov.au/transreg/vsb/vsb_10.htm (Vehicle Standards Bulletin VSB10 - Importing Vehicles to Australia) You can read up on the other categories... but the category I fell under was Personal Imports. You need to own the car for at least a year and must have stayed in nz for that 1 year (they get photocopies of your passport). costs: - application to import - shipping + insurance - steam cleaning - quarantine clearance, aus tax - engineers cert then the usual roadworthiness and rego guess what. in nz, commodores and fords are looked up to because they are rare and expensive. most (if not all cop cars) are commodores as well...
  7. here's mine... 225x50x16 TSW Demons. i'm actually thinking about 17" ROH Adrenalins from http://www.factorydirecttyres.com.au/specials.asp $220 each... looks nice on one of the pictures above. :-) i'd really like 18" wheels but from the table here http://www.takakaira.com/rimsandtyres/rims...dtyresindex.asp only 17s max would fit easily?
  8. dunno where else to ask... anyone know where the nearest toyota spare parts place in the kew/hawthorn/richmond/collingwood area is? my gf's car is missing the bottom right black plastic bumper-hole-filler. its a 2000 toyota ascent thanks guys.
  9. thanks dudes, for all the tidbits of info. helped me out heaps. thanks
  10. i'm 27... and justcars says they consider me to be on rating 3... i think i was a rating 1 in nz... i think i'll go with young and cool.. will save me $100 a year. anyone with them? any problems? or things I should be aware of? thanks.
  11. just cars has confirmed that: "if your vehicle does not have an immobiliser the vehicle is not covered at ALL in the event of a theft." ok...looks like i need to put an immobilizer any way i go.
  12. hi megalla, maybe.... i like driving around.... but i just know a few streets... i don't know where dynon st is... saw that post before about you and some guys meeting up for a dyno run... wanted to drop by and have a look, but had other commitments rs73, thanks dude... am waiting for a reply from just cars... i asked them... i thought comprehensive-car-insurance would be ..comprehensive? -- in the long run, the cheaper premium would offset the price of the immobilizer... i guess an immobilizer adds more peace of mind... -- those excess figures are putting me off though. even if insured, an accident or theft will cost me more than $1k

  14. http://forums.skylinesdownunder.co.nz/show...ghlight=gtr+lip see the link above for some tips on how to cut the bonet to fit the gtr grill
  15. i always thought that the squarish lights came out on all models up to 1990? (mine's an 89) then 1990+ the bug eyed lights came out on all models... then the r33s came. i never thought of the middle driving lights as round though. on my one: left-->right indicator, [parklight/lowbeam/highbeam], fog?lights and, i think the amber indicators only came out on the gtr or gts4 models.
  16. i was able to bring my one in. but this is a personal import from nz. its kinda cool driving a unique car around...
  17. Hi, do you still have the stock exhaust with the catalytic converter? I failed my roadworthiness. anyone think it will fit on a 4door? are you in Melbourne? thanks.
  18. Hi, I'm currently getting a compliance plate and a roadworthines cert. My exhaust system failed. I'm now looking for a stock exhaust system for an r32 4door. It must have the catalytic converter. thanks
