As you have all by now seen or heard ,the police now have the right to accuse you of being a 'hoon' and can do it once, twice, or three times in one day and your $60,000.00 pride and joy can be confiscated and not only not returned but sold off and you have no redress at all! Now if they think we are going to take this latest bit of bullshit laying down without a fight they have under estimated what strength lies within every one get of the fat arse and putting there hands up.(Trust me we need numbers and we need them right now-not like a lot of you who are soft c--ks and say your going to turn up to this and that and then back out with lame excuses!)Sorry if im sounding harsh but this the reality that the police have all the power we have no redress and tha dickhead rann and co are going to trust the police not to be corrupt! And you where we stand with defects on that score with the police either being instructed or taking some of the law into their own hands, and regency backing it up with their own little mix of illegal activities such as not complying to the ADR's that theyre trying to protect themselves and to top it off not being accredited to any other organisation( such as an iso or aust accredition) nor complying with the other checking centers aust wide nor complying with the aust gov. own recommendations with what should happen re polution checks on cars and how they should be carried out. Anyhow this is enough from me ,but trust me, this effects everone who owns and drives a vehicle- they only have to say you have and thats it- it could be a grandpa reving up the car to back a heavy trailer or caravan on to his own propertyTHINK ABOUT THAT! Regards, SKYLINE.... :bs!:

To Enrico, Just because REGENCY say theyre illegal doesnt mean that they are actually illegal, they say that to many issues and are in fact wrong (and iLLEGAL in so saying ).The whale tale porche for example has these supplied from the the factory on an adr approved car and then there are other issues such as coilovers that are not listed any where in the adr's as being illegal, I can understand the loose ones being illegal, and would be wary of going overly big with the bolt on ones anyway???? Sorry guys, I was surfing these forums earlier in the week when my wife and son were not home and came across a thread discussing a certain wide bodied kit for a '33 and had some thumbnails of the widest kit ive ever seen (apparentlly 6" in fr and some 7" in rr), there was also some discussion from some one here in oz thats making a multi piece kit that will be fin soon (approx $3000) and ive been back thru these pages and cannot for the life of me re- find it to show these photos and info to thr rest of the family? PLS can someone enlighten me where i read it??? TA. Regards, SKYLINE (Kym).....

To all, i was a little disappointed with the depth of good quality street driven cars. You always have a heap of true show cars (basically only a couple this year!) but there was definately a shortage of well presented street cars.Way too many near standard cars_magnas etc... Regards, SKYLINE...... :Bang: :bs!:

Paul Its quite safe to remove the rack(and save about 20kgs in weight) and replace it with billet aluminium plate or fixed tube with threaded ends which you can attach adj rose jointed arms with which you can adj your toe in/out.I have been running full whiteline kit with bilstein coil overs and no hicas for two years now with no side effects,a better handling car and much better tyre life!!! Regards, SKYLINE...(Kym).

Cutting down the standard gear stick.
skyline replied to MarkG's topic in General Automotive Discussion
To ALL, the std gear stick is hollow and filled with a rubber type of material, hence it cannot be suscessfully cut down. Also note that using a short shifter in you box will increase your chances of lunching the syncros.Even tho i drive reasonbly hard im easy on my equipment and i thoroughly lunched the box so that it req'd a complete rebuild--- so be warned!!! Regards, SKYLINE...(Kym). -

BE WARNED!!! To all dont try cutting down the std gearstick as its hollow and filled with rubber, you will end up with two pieces and not much else! Also i would not recommend using a short shifter as you will lunch the gearbox as i did in my 96 ser II.not being a harsh driver it came as a big surprise that my box was f----d and needed a complete rebuild. So please all be warned. nissans should be aloud to race with the holdens and the ford
skyline replied to EJ's topic in General Automotive Discussion
If i'm not mistaken the first year the monaro raced the 24hr it was 7 laps behind the leading porche when it got shunted up the arse and had to retire. Regards, SKYLINE.... -
To nightcrawler and All, You will find if you ask around most clubs cruise using cb's, we even use them travelling interstate(as we did for the melb autosalon).theyre extemely handy when trying to pass with poor visability when the lead car has passed and has a real good veiw and can pass on the info.I've personally use both my son and his girlfriend use cheaper hand helds and i installed a top of the range into the roof of our r33,this gives us excellent range we have still been talking to club members(SVD) that are heading away from windy pt whilst we travelling down king william st! Definately do the belt as soon as you can,and if you have the extra dollars do the other belts as well, plus consider the water pump bearing in mind how many kms have been done here in aust. and what type of coolant used.As a footnote my 96 gts-t has 86k on the clock and we have done one water pump and are now on our third timing belt!!! Regards, SKYLINE (Kym).....
