I am new to the forum and would like a chance to meet some other stag owners. was trying to think of somewhere kind of central to a few people to who i have allready spoken to. so how does Nandos at the Glen shopping centre on Wed Night sound? say 7:30/8pm ish until whenever. come for food if you like. or just drop in to say hi. its outside facing springvale road. - also being a weeknight there will be plenty of room in the carpark for us to park and admire each others beasts. are you in?

Nm35 Autec Axis = Rs-4, Rx-4, Arx ?
garetb16 replied to garetb16's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
well mine has nismo floor mats - i know they would probably be able to be bought at every corner shop in japan. and nismo suspension. it looks as old as the car so id suggest very early fittment or factory fitted. here are some pics. -
Nm35 Autec Axis = Rs-4, Rx-4, Arx ?

it's black. With a suede like charcoal in the centres, black carpet. The car is pearl white which correct me if I'm wrong only came on autech models -
yep i got em, they didnt do the neatest job of fitting them either!

Hi guys. i have an Axis Autec. its an 02 with cloth interior, no nav/screen. reading a few of the older posts it refers to some of the differences etc between the RS-4 and the RX-4 and the ARX going on Carsales there are some Axis cars badged incorrectly for example this car advertised is clearly an Autec Axis but the wheels are missing. Autech Axis - missing wheels this car advertised is what you would consider an Autech Axis but is badged an ARX ARX Autech Axis? so i guess what im asking is did the NM35 Axis Autec come from a variety of different models or did they all start as a particular model ie, RS-4. or could you take your Stagea no matter the model to Autech and have it modified to be an Axis. its hard to distinguish as they all have different options etc. some with Sat Nav, some without, Some with elec Seats and some without, some with Leather some without. if you read the autech page listed in the M35 info sticky link it shows many different options.

I currently have a pod filter fitted, but am about to switch back to the airbox with a blitz filter, I'd say that it should really be more efficient with more intake cold air

Well I filled up and drove home today, by this stage the car had travelled 620kms and it only took 64 litres so I'm estimating that I could have probably travelled another 100kms until the light came on, pretty happy with the economy obviously most of that is highway driving but I had a full boot and 4 adults in the car and was also giving it the odd squirt in boost

Well I'm away interstate with the car at the moment, was full when I left and have nearly travelled 600kms the gauge is dead empty and touching the needle, I'm still waiting for the fuel light to come on. Be interesting to see if it does, I will have to refill tomoz to drive home so my little test won't get to be complete but I'm tipping I should get to at least 700 kms before needing to fill. Will re test over the next full tank.

Any Melbourne Guys Get Hail Damage
garetb16 replied to garetb16's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
turns out the evo has been written off - he is planning to buy a v35 anyway so probably couldnt have come at a better time as his insurance will pay out more than he would have got privately. others i imagine wont be as fortunate. -
is be interested. but would want to have a look at fitment first.
-
im taking it away this weekend for a country run. 480kms in one direction and then home a few days later. prob not a good time to experiment when im out of the city. when im home after i plan to drive it until the light comes on. cos i think my gauge is just rooted. hopefully the light is more accurate.
-
there is a fuel light? maybe im best to keep driving until i see it turn on. i have got it to E once already this week and didnt notice a light.

M35 Wins Re Customs Dyno Day Shootout
garetb16 replied to scotty nm35's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
wow thats a very impressive result - even with the handicap. id like to meet with some of you guys. there are lots of questions id like to ask some more experienced stag owners. im in the SE suburbs of melb. -
Hi guys have owned my new NM35 for a week now and tonight i filled it with fuel for the first time. the gauge was a fraction over the bottom E line and it only took 53 litres. i thought at the time how odd that was and paid - after starting the car i was waiting for the level to rise but it never went past 3/4 i then thought maybe i didnt fill it properly and it may have just clicked off prematurely so i pulled into the next servo to top it up and i couldnt get more than half a litre into it. i SMS's the previous owner and they have explained that they have never experienced it. so either the gauge is way wrong or the tank has had lapand surgery. im not retarded and know how to fill a car with fuel anyone experienced this?

Test Drivers Getting Fines On My Behalf!
garetb16 replied to Unbalanced's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
I think it will be hard for you to prove it considering you wouldn't have a contract signed etc, like when you test drive a car in a car yard, unless you can contact them and ask to pay/ take the points I don't think the odds are in your favour. You may be better off asking family members to take the points and pay the fines... Hope it works out mate -
hi guys will my car need a turbo timer? i drive a NM35.

Hi Guys Saturday around 2pm was driving with a friend in my new NM35 when the storm hit was pummeled by a few hailstones then i found a funeral home to which i nailed it to park where the hearse drops off the bodies under a small tin roof to which the massive storm pounded massive hail stones for about 10-15 mins. my car didnt cop any dents but have a few friends who have. mate with evo 6.5 (tom Mak) has every panel including the fibreglass bonnet and flared guards. the roof and roof rails im sure this will be written off. another friend with an Sti wagon lots of dents and a smashed back window. sure this will be written off too. i also heard Ferntree gully toyota had 150 cars damaged anyone on here cop it?

definately move house. the car is perfect!

bummer mate, i have only just bought an M35 too and was worried about this sort of thing. hope its not too bad. whats the KMS on the clock? -
Thanks Jetwreck!! was an interesting install which required a lot of patients with the plastics.!!! i wouldnt have even thought to look up the top for that bolt as you said. got it done and replaced some blown bulbs in my guages so was quite a good one really. cheers mate!

Hi guys. new owner here of a sweet Autech Axis M35 and it has a single din alpine Head unit in it which when i bought the car thought it was a new one (australian) but turns out on my drive home when looking for my fav tunes that i cant go past 89.9 or something. (turned it down when i test drove it). im positive the Head unit is bolted in from the side mounts and isnt using the cradle cage thing supplied with head units. have done a few installs before and quite capable but before i begin pulling things apart thought it would be worth the question. anyone done it and can guide me to the easiest way to get in behind there to un bolt the unit?
-
its weird. the car came with a small nissan black dongle thing like an overide Key i found a plug in for it at the bottom of the plastic above the pedals. so im tipping this is an overide for the immobilizer?
-
will a key work without the buttons? i mean. if i went and just got a copy made by a key cutter would it work on the car/start it?
-
ok cool. so snow isnt really needed for Australian conditions. SNCRO: 50/50 all the time. Middle: Attessa (prob best for all sorts of driving) if you were going for a "spirited drive" for example would you go Sncro? or just leave it.?
-
what are the 3 functions of the 4wd/diff control switch? i know it says snow and stuff but whats the best function for different styles of driving? or what does each function do?
