  1. Hey DECIM8 did you end up sorting this one out? Oh and where is this hose with the restriction in it?
  2. Hi all Looking at buying new rims, what size are the R34 GTT wheel hubs Rims have a 82mm diameter for the hub, im guessing they will fit on, maybe with an adapter? Theyre 18*8 and 18*9 with +35 offset all around. PCD is 114.3 which I think is fine.
  3. damn missed out on this one =(
  4. Lucas pads are very dusty though right?
  5. Hi all Top condition 1998 MPE CBR250RR. MECHANICALLY A1, clean, and well looked after! 28000 kms. Original red white blue colour. In top mechanical condition, I have never had any dramas with it. Starts first time, every time, hot or cold. This bike has been re-jetted and has an aftermarket air filter installed. Great mid to top range power, has slightly more go than the average. It also has Dunlop GPR70 tyres all around (70% tread left) Genuine 28000kms, bike was bought at 26000kms 2 years ago so it has hardly been ridden in that time. It has only been used as a weekend bike, and has never seen the rain. Serviced twice in its 2000km life with me and it has only used Motul 5100 fully synthetic oil and genuine Honda oil filters. Bike is always garaged and has a bike cover on when in the garage as well. Cleaned and polished regularly. All the black plastic parts are still clean and BLACK, no marks or fade. Nice looking original Honda fairings are in great condition. It has 12 months rego until October 2008, so nothing to pay for a year. Original factory Honda key included. Extras: original air filter and jets, spare key. Price: $6500 Please contact me on If I cannot pick up the phone, just shoot me an SMS. Thanks very much all
  6. Where is this stock hose with the restrictor in it? it might explain why its taking longer than usual for my EBC to full boost haha
  7. They are rubbish! no bass, can hardly hear them!
  8. Has anyone fitted the lines on a R34 GTT? if so what were the results?
  9. Def not Koya Inox, perhaps something else? Axis wheels maybe?
  10. I would either go a CES system OR Buy a dump pipe + front pipe in one from BATMBL on these forums (if he is still selling) Then buy a jap branded cat back from say JustJap, or Nengun. E.g. A Trust Power Extreme II, HKS Silent Power, Fujitsubo or Kakimoto.
  11. They look like factory quotes. I dont know how factories come up with these figures, even with other non Nissan cars they seem grossly underestimated.
  12. I notcied the same thing with my R34 rear "3D surround" speakers ahahah No bass or mid, terrible, they had to go straight away, hopeless things! Standard corolla speakers had more bass! Dont know if there is any real adjustment in them
  13. This might not be a good thing We may get de-tuned models We certainly will be paying a premium for them here through Nissan. If we could import them it might be cheaper?
  14. Tread blocks seem okay, sweet its not my tyres chunking off like crazy haha I hear that tread blocks tend to chunk off more with newish tyres? Unfortunately not many tyre shops know much or are very useful over the phone so I figured Id try here. It probably wont see much more track days as the tread is getting low, need to conserve them for the street. Im more concerned about the heat cycling and whether its rendered the tyres dangerous on the road.
  15. Thanks djr They are Falken FK451's, but yeah the rubber feels harder than pre track day. I guess maybe they werent built to handle the temps, dammit aye no on the street Im faced with less grip =~( thats not what I wanted! So when there are huge worm like rubber bits stuck to yuor tyre, is that rubber picked up off the track, or my actual rubber from the tyre being smudged and rolled. I noticed after the sessions I was able to pick iff rolled up chunks by hand, there were too many so I just left em.
  16. Hi all I noticed that the tread or rubber feels harder after a recent track day The tyres got pretty hot I think and felt greasy, and it was getting smudged all over the place such that I was getting rubber piles built up on the tyre (maybe i also picked up rubber off the track) Is this a bad thing if the tyres feel like they are harder than before? grip seems to have dimished some what, maybe its just the tread wearing out as I didnt have that much to begin with before the track day. However they are certainly not bald yet. The rears are worn on the outside edge (because I rotated the front tyres there)
  17. I have a R34 GTT, but still like the S15's as they look and feel much sportier. They are low slung and you sit lower so as a result things feel much sportier. But yeah alot of S15's around, although nowadays there are also heaps of R34 GTTs around now as well. R34 let down is its weight, which can be a little annoying at times. I think the S15's respond equally well the power mods as the R34 so I wouldnt worry about that. As with everyone else, drive both and see what you like. No car sticks out much better than the other, its down to personal pref I guess.
  18. Hi all Ive been suffering from a LOUD screeching squeal on occasion with light braking, sometimes even heavy. I run standard rotors and Formula Ferodo pads (TS2000). It only really started when I put these pads in and guys at Midas couldnt figure out what it was. I left them as it is because my poor pedal feel was more of an issue that the squeal. However after a track day, and trust me I didnt push that hard on the track, the screech was just as loud, but this time, almost every brake application caused it. This became very frustrating. After researching for a while this is the process I came up with the fix the problem. Had some spare time so my mate helped me do it. Basically: 1) removed the pads and shims 2) cleaned shims, back of pads and rotors with a spray on brake cleaner 3) cleaned the slit in the middle of the pads (they had massive dust build up in there) 4) sanded the pads down a little to remove any glazing (couldnt tell if there was any, not sure what it looks like haha) 5) chamfered pads with a file (ie. filed down the leading and trailing edge of the pad so its angled) 6) put some CRC brake squeal quite red goo in between the the shim stack and the back of pad So its shim stack --> GOO --> back of pad, i didnt end up putting the goo in between the 2 or 3 piece shims Straight away no sound, 2 weeks later, no sound! Hope this helps.
  19. About 12-13L / 100km in a R34 GTT, 185rwkw. Mix of city and freeway, usually short trip drives.
  20. That annoying ping ping ping sound in the R34 that sounds when the key is in and a door is open Oh and yes, and the combination of water on the roof + driver window down + left turns or braking hahah
  21. From what Ive heard, the shroud makes a huge difference
