Calling To All R34 Manual Owners
nuffsaid replied to Jsikalias's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I have a similar thing, when I first had the clutch installed and fitted the biting point was real low which was good. Now it seems to be high again, but perhaps I am just getting used to it. I had the pedal adjusted, but it still feels high? Is it because I am used to it? it still doesnt feel as nice as the first time I drove it after the Exedy HD install. -

Hmmm maybe thats why you're using the 12mm motors then. -
Er34 Gtt Tein Edfc With Super Streets

Attached is the Fulcrum spec sheet released at the time I bought the kit TEIN_Catalogue_Ed2.pdf -
Anyone know what the part number for the older Tein EDFC is for a ER34 GTT with Tein Super Streets (aus spec) without pillow ball upper mounts? Here it says it doesnt exist as the area is greyed out http://www.tein.co.jp/price_list/appli/e_nissan.html But here it says it does exist and its a EDK01-10100 (10mm motor kit) http://www.tein.co.jp/e/price_list/appli/e_nissan.html But then Fulcrums model number is: EDKZ1-12120AA which suggests a 12mm motor kit. Now I am just plain confused, does a kit exist, is it a 10mm or 12mm kit? haha Anyone using the EDFCs with the aus spec Tein SS kit for a R34 GTT? Thanks

A Little Understeer?
nuffsaid replied to nuffsaid's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I like the slightly nose down look as opposed to the bum down look, happy with the ride height at the momment, but thanks for the suggestion. I have experimented with the front stiffness setting, but found 4 to be the most suitable in terms of dampening on rough streets. It has fairly good control on rough and bumpy roads, the rear is different though. No EDFC sorry, very expensive, and expensive to install haha I will set the rear bar up one level and see how I go. Note: id much rather the car oversteer a tiny than understeer as understeer gets quite scary. -

Not quite sure, if it has a standard bodykit, then maybe, if Nissan aero/nismo kit, then no. -

I need these gone! -
Hi all I have Tein Super Streets installed, riding at 345mm all around, with the damper settings set to the 4 softest setting (of 16 settings) as recommended by Tein. Spring rates are 5k front and 4k rear. I also have front camber at -1 and rear camber at -0.5 and about 7 degrees of castor at the front. Tyres are 235/40/18 Falken FK451s. I have also fitted a 24mm front sway bar on full soft, and a 20mm (to match higher rear spring rate) rear bar on the softest setting. The problem is I am experiencing some understeer, and not much over, especially on wet streets. What settings can I change to reduce the understeer? Do I increase the rear bar setting to medium? Note: I dont want to make the rear overly stiff as that will ruin the ride, I hear changing sway bar settings might do this, but perhaps not so much that its noticeable. Thanks!

R34 Gtt - Weird Clicking Noise
nuffsaid replied to nuffsaid's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Anyone else? -
Hi all Ive started to develop a weird clicking noise in the rear drivers side of my GTT. It kind of sounds like that sound when you turn on the air con on, when the relay/fan clicks. It also sounds like a rock being crushed. I had a suspension place check it out seeing as my first impression was my coilovers/bushes. But they said it had nothing to do with it. It only makes a sound when moving off from a stopped position during normal day to day driving. The sound is even more apparent when I have the steering in full lock, or when the car is slowly reversing and I put it into first to move off. It tends to make a click, click, click sound when this happens. This leads me to think that perhaps it is a issue with the LSD as one wheel moves at a different speed to the other. Once the car starts moving along it is fine. The suspension place seems to think that it is either a shaft or diff issue. Note: I put in Redline Gear Oil maybe 10000kms ago. Thanks!

Atomiser Spray Nozzles! I Found One Place Close.
nuffsaid replied to Trust33's topic in General Automotive Discussion
If there is no noticable power gain then then this is more of a support mod? Also, as you all know our cars run better in cool weather as opposed to hot weather. Will this mod make our cars run in hot weather as it does in colder weather? And finally, have there not been tests done whereby water spray, NOS sprays etc increase power on the dyno? hence shouldnt this increase power? -

No feelable power? ohh thats no fun Everyone that I have spoken to says that a FMIC makes the car feel like it pulls harder. -
Atomiser Spray Nozzles! I Found One Place Close.
nuffsaid replied to Trust33's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Thats's purely the reason why I havent bought the Autospeed package, however I am tempted to, but the cost after all the parts isnt cheap =( -
Thanks Scott Problem is it was working fine with the old nozzles, eeven the new mtec ones on the left are okay, it must just be that right side perhaps. And it is just one of the jets on the right side =P, I was thinking that maybe these things operated like a garden hose in which tightening would make the spray pattern wider. Ah well, $20, cant expect too much =)))

Will the kit have the smarts just like the autospeed electronic control module? And how interchangeable are the 33 and 34 washer bottles?

Black Fmic Kit - Anodizing Vs Powder Coating Vs Painting
nuffsaid replied to QRI05E's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Where in Sydney is the anodizing being done? And is it still @ $130? -
Ok fitted mine. The left side is perfect, the right side doesnt seem to fan spray as much as the left, it doesnt have that nice flat spray that spreads out. Is there anything that can be done? It is as if the spray nozzles need to be tightened (like a garden hose) Also, after its finished spraying, there is a lot of water that is just left on the bonnet of the car, moreso than the stock ones, but at least the entire window is saturated. Thanks

How The f**k Does This Happen (pic Inside)
nuffsaid replied to Rednisr31's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Ive had my gates for a long time now, still whirs. Not too fussed, the car has stood up to a heap of punishment, so if it aint broke i wont fix it hehe too scared to break things by loosening it. -
Hi all Attached is a pic of the light bulb that is found behind the LCD in the climate control part of a R34 skyline. It is a bulb and base unit in one, so its not as simple as removing the bulb and replacing it unfortunately. They are pretty small. Nissan is charging $18.10 for it. Is there a generic replacement for it? has anyone replaced these with something from another car? something cheaper? I dont want to be paying $55 for 3 of these things hahaha Thanks

Tein Super Streets R34
nuffsaid replied to DECIM8's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Better than the Teins? minus the rest of the kit? ie. coilover for coilover comparison Also is the ride smoother and more comfortable? dont know if you got the chance to experience that on a track day
