I get the following (and only sometimes): Coming to a set of lights, press brake pedal, lack of feel and has alot of travel, release and then press brake pedal again, much much better feel and bite, less travel to hit that biting point. Is that the same?

  7. My car runs about 95 in normal street conditions on hot days. The other night (cool night) I took my car through the hills, giving it pretty hard for about 10minutes flat out, and the oil temp reached about 105 degrees. I then drove it normally for 10mins and it stabilised back down to 95. Is this okay? I am running Motul 8100.

  9. My R34 GTT also doesnt have the nice pedal feel that many other cars have. There seems to be like 2cm of play in the pedal before it starts biting. Had the brakes checked out, its not pad knock off but perhaps some more air that needs bleeding. How can you tell if the caliper seals are rooted? Also, I sometimes get the first pump is crap, second pump of the pedal is firm feeling.
  10. Mine has started to make a slight spring creaking/squeak noise over harsh bumps, usually over speed bumps and when reversing out of my drive way. It sounds like a creaking squeak, WD40 trick?
  11. with the exhaust, depending on how well it flows, you may already be running 10psi. i think mine is running at that because of the exhaust.

  16. Hi all I need a new pull type clutch for the 34. Power: no more than 200rwkw, currently at 170. Driveability: I want the same pedal feel and daily driveability as a stock system. I also want something that I wont have to replace for another good few years! I dont abuse my car that often so hopefully a replacement will last. Because of the above, alot of places have recommended to simply get my current clutch rebuilt with heavy duty parts that will increase the clamping pressure to hold for my power and wont slip, but pretty much drive like a stock car. What do you guys rekon? I have seen the Exedy Sports Tuff clutch which supposedly is very driveable, but I want stock driveability. What do you recommend? A rebuild is good enough for me right? and how much do you think it should cost ,e? Thanks
  17. Hi all I need my current R34 GTT pull type clutch rebuilt. I am looking to just get a heavy duty rebuild because I wont have any more than 200rwkw and want something that drives like stock. Penrith Brake and Clutch can do it supplied and fitted for $950 with a plate pressure of 1700pound they said. However I think that is very expensive for just a heavy duty clutch. Any other suggestions? Thanks

  21. Great thread as Ive got similar plans and ideas. However everyone has a different opinion and contradictory results which makes it hard =| Interested in what more people have to say, thanks for your input so far fellas
