  1. My oil pressure guage on cold start up usually stays at about 5-6. Then after it warms after a little driving, 2 on idle. 4 when i rev it. I think thats the norm.
  2. 235's is what everyone recommends.
  3. Sprayed some belt dressing, makes the sound go away. However after a day it comes back. Now everytime i step on te gas a little, it makes the sound louder. How much will a full belt replacement be? parts and labour? Cheers
  4. It all depends. All I know is that sedans are much cheaper Silver ones are cheaper Autos are cheaper Probably the rarest and most exp would be a black manual couple, ~35k Prices are still relatively high for a 5-7 year old car. You may be able to find a good one for low 30k mark. Some are at high 20's also.
  5. I think he means better fuel economy
  6. 5w40 or 10w40 I wouldnt go 15w40. Nissan recommends 7.5w40. Buy a decent Motul and you should be fine.
  7. Does it only help when driving and braking hard? Pity, I already have a strut brace!
  8. Might be okay then, my pedal feel aint that great driving normally round town
  9. Yeah the Ziex's definately suck frmo what I have read. They work well for your lancers/pulsars/civics, but not anything else with power.
  10. Id like to know also whether this makes any difference to braking.
  11. Thanks, I know that they are, just thought that maybe I can squeeze on 245's since the Falkens look thin, plus with a bigger sidewall the ride should be a bit more comfortable.
  12. Hi all I noticed lately my car has been squeaking in the engine bay. Its only a soft squeak, and you can only hear it outside the car, even with the bonnet closed. Its quite annoying and sometimes its there, sometimes its not. I noticed that when I rubbed some wax on the main belt, it went away. But then it would come back again. I also sprayed some liquid on the belt, made it go away for a bit but then it came back. It sounds like maybe a belt is rubbing against something ever so slightly. Had a mechanic tighten the belt as much as recommended and check the belts. They are fine. What could it be? A friend has recommended getting belt lubricant and spraying it. Thanks all
  13. Definately look at the group buy section, SK has got some pretty good gear there for a reasonable price, better than Heasman pricing for sure.
  14. Hands down to the black one!
  15. Thanks very much guys. Appreciate it. Would a 235/40/18 FK451 fit nicely on a 8" rim? I know Falkens have very rounded shoulders and so can look skinnier than other brands of tyres in the same width and profile.
  16. Well thats reassuring then. Perhaps Tein Super Streets on the agenda? Hmm or Bilsteins. haha
  17. Might opt for teh Falkens. Seems like the Pirellis, because they are asymmetrical, will be hard to rotate because if the inside of the tyre wears out quicker, when you rotate, the inside will still be the inside. I noticed that with Skylines, the insides of both front and rear tyres seem to wear quicker when slightly lowered, so rotating a worn inner tyre at the front to the back doesnt really help.
  18. Still looking for something guys. Called UPI, Option1, SSS, and numerous import/compliancers, no luck.
  19. Any reason why you didnt have 245 in front?
  20. I wouldnt get them. Had roadstones in my old car and they were absolutely crap. Spend a tiny bit more and get something alot of people here are happy with.
  21. Hi all Is adjustable suspension, eg. Tein adjustable coilovers legal in NSW? ie. If they are at legal height is it okay to have em on? Cheers
  22. Hmm perhaps 235 would be best since it is preferred and it will mean I will be able to rotate tyres from front to back vice versa.
  23. Hi all Whats the best tyre for a 18x8" rim. A 235/40/18 or 245/40/18? I know that Falkens acutallly look more narrower than they are because Falkens usually have rounded shoulders. So am I best going for a 245? And will it scrub/rub? (on a R34 GTT) Thanks
  24. They are pretty slow sometimes, but you definately will get your order. Just gotta be patient. They are reasonably priced and have a great website thats easy to use and keeps you up to date with all the latest info. I bought $400 worth of goods and no taxes.
  25. All good I understand now. So with pure asymmetrical, I can rotate diagonally without taking nthe rubber of the wheel. Whereas with directional you have to in order to swap sides or leave em on if u want to swap back to front etc. Would anyone choose the Pirellis over the Falkens? If so why? And are asymmetrical better than directional?
