  1. Can anybody clear this up for me? Cheers
  2. Then are these directional? http://www.au.pirelli.com/en_AU/tyres/cata...productid=17126 So which tyres can I rotate? both the Falken 451s and the Pirelli Dragons? Very confused. So asymmetrical doesnt mean anything with regards to rotating, but directional does?
  3. The dragons I believe are asymmetrical as describe dby their site. In other words, the outer side of the tyre must remain on the outside. So tyres cannot be rotated diagonally, only from front to back. Have read a few threads about the 451s and people seem to think they are on par with the Azeni ST115 if not better. How much are a set of 451 in 18"?
  4. Hi all I have a choice between the Pirelli Dragons or the Falken FK451's. The Pirellis being $100 more for a set of 4. The only problem I see is that the Pirellis are an asymmetrical tread, meaning I wont be able to rotate the tyres. Has anyone any experience or knowledge about either of these tyres? Cheers
  5. And then post to Sydney? Whats the cost?
  6. The power getters arent supposed to be quiet, I think thats where the Fujitsubo Legalis R comes in. I had a listen to a few of the sound files on the Fujitsubo site and you can definately tell the difference between the PowerGetter and other models.
  7. Cool, perhaps 6's with 1.1mm gap should be fine then. Cant really expect any performance on plugs.
  8. Something that can handle an occasional thrash through the twisties would be good too. Might just get some DS2000s then. Cheers
  9. How much boost is more boost? How much power is more power than stock? I guess those are 1.1mm gapped? Alrities Thanks SW20 Anybody else got any opinions?
  10. Hi all Have searched and it seems like everyone uses different plugs. Any R34 GTT owners out there with experience in using various spark plugs? Id like to know what you are using and what you recommend as I have a service due soon. I hear that the standard ones are fine, especially if you replace them regularly enough because they are cheap. People have also said that the iridium ones are a waste of money, but perhaps they have performance gains? Whats best? The general consensus is that a 0.8 gap is best, especially for higher boost applications. However will 0.8 gap also be fine (and better than 1.1 gap) for stock boost? Thanks in advance.
  11. Any idea where I can pick up used exhausts from?
  12. A guy from VSport and Compfriction recommended the DS2000 or Formula Ferodos because the DS2500 are overkill for the street and they squeal heaps! Squealing is something I definately cannot stand! hahah And he said the DS2000's are more than adequate for the street, they are much better than the Bendix Ultimates too.
  13. Just Jap in Kirrawee? I called them a couple weeks back and they said they dont deal with used exhausts anymore.
  14. Sounds like you've used a R33 GTST cat back on a R34 GTT. Is that right? Out of curiosity, what cat back did you use?
  15. Go the redline, I used almost the full bottle in my line.
  16. Are they as dusty as the Bendix Ultimates? Coz thats pretty darn dusty. Hmm squealing aye? Thats pretty annoying. Wonder how the DS2000 (Formula Ferodos) will hold up in that case.
  17. Looks cool mate, let us know if it runs any better during the day.
  18. Hi all What are the best pads to use for the street? The Ferodo DS2500 or DS2000 (Formula Ferodos) The reason I ask is that I have been informed that the DS2500 are more of a race pad than anything, meaning for the street, they are not quite suited. I just want the best street pads that are not too noisy, nor dusty and have a good cold bite, and will work well when warm. I am worried that with track-ish pads, the car wont stop as effectively in the event of an accident or something. Also, anyone know the part numbers for a R34 GTT front and rear? and where I can pick up a set from? Thanks all
  19. Will it fit directly? ie. bolt on with no mods?
  20. Hi all Am currently looking for a used cat back system for a R33 GTST or R34 GTT. Where would be a good place to look? I have tried SSS Automotive and a couple other places but not many people seem to have good quality Japanese cat back systems. Brand new these systems are too expensive, and I dont want to go for the crap quality xracing ones. Also, how hard would it be to modify a R33 exhaust to fit a R34? Thanks
  21. I dont know what it was. But i believe it could be that loose connection to the battery. A small clip/connection that clips into the red plastic bit of the battery connection. No idea what it is, but it was dirty and so i cleaned it, tightened it back up and its all good now *fingers crossed*. Anyone know what that connection/clip is?
  22. Hey guys, I noticed 2 cables coming from the positive (red) end of the battery. One is pretty thick, and the other, clips onto the positive end plastic part (the red plastic thing that you can clip up and down) What is the smaller one that clips onto the battery? Cheers
  23. Hi al Found a strange problem with my R34 today. I drove it around yesterday fine, and this morning. Today I noticed that there was a strange crackling noise coming from near the brake booster area, where the vacuum lines are. This crackling noise became louder when the aircon was turned on. I also noticed that throughout the day, the voltmeter needle was hovering only slightly above 12V. Sometimes it will drop below 12 down to 10V for a split second, the car feels like tis gonna stall, then it pops back up and 12ish volts and it is fine (except for that crackling noise). I let the car run in todays heat for a while and then it just cut off, doesnt seem to be any electrical power anywhere. The lights inside dont work and the alarm is making strange noises, as if its on low power. Any ideas guys?
  24. Id like to know for sure as well. Also, what effect does the brace have on the brakes? Do they brake much better? Cheers
