What cat do you guys recommend? - 3" Magic Cat with 4" body (rated pretty highly by people here and come with bolt on optionm no idea what the flow rating is) ~ $300 - 3" big body BATMBLS Catco cats? (seem to be the highest flowing 706cfm with bolt on option) ~ $440 - Metal Cat And when they say bolt on, does that mean the cat will bolt on fine inbetween teh dump pipe and the cat back exhaust? I found this quote on a website: "(Catco) 706CFM FLOW RATE with the 3" piping! NOTHING else comes close, since the 3" Metal CAT flows 629CFM and the 3" Magic CAT (with the 4" body and 3" cone reducers welded to it) flows 540CFM. All 3 CATs were independantly tested at the same site on the same machine." Hmm kinda confused now as different people say different things.

Hmmm if I had these wheels and lowered in 20mm, would the car look funny?

Insurance problems as in will they tell me to get stuffed when I make a claim? I know that premiums may increase but I am more worried about claims.

Hi all Looking at a 3" turbo back for a R34. Would like some help or advice about a good system. Requirements: - good power gain - quiet - preferably non canon muffler (twin tip muffler / oval muffler with tip would be nice) I was looking at getting BATMBL's split dump and maybe one of his cats or a magic cat (Whats better?). A jap branded cat back would probably be on the list too. Unfortunately most of them are canon style mufflers. However I would like the exhaust to be as quiet as possible as I am not a big fan of loud exhausts. Any ideas or suggestions?

Insurance problems? My brother has metallic and dark tint, made a claim and they didnt say anything. But he drives a family car and is insured with NRMA.

Hi all Looking at getting my 2 front windows tinted. The rear quarters and the rear window are UV cut glass (from factory) and are dark. Question is, I'd like to match the tint but noticed that 35% tint is just way too light. Was thinking of goign 25% as itll match better. 1) How is the visibility? 2) I am with JustCar insurance, will they give me crap for this? 3) Will the coppers give me crap? Im in NSW by the way. Hi Has anyone tried to fit R34 GTR rims to a R34 GTT? Does everything line up nicely or is it out of whack because of the offsets? Also, what is the best offset to look for when purchasing a set of 18" rims for a GTT? Thanks

You want white with a blue tinge, go with MTEC. Great visibility, pretty good quality. Definately better than the Philips/Narva crap out there.

I thought Nismo was a bit expensive for a panel filter so have ordered an Apexi one. Will let you dudes know how it does once I get it.

Hahaha thats just great, was about to get the Apexi but I just read this last post. Now I really don't know which to get. Anybody else with any suggestions?

Nengun has a few good filters, Apexi/Nismo. Nismo is a bit dear though, $130 or so for a panel filter, cant see there being much difference between that and any other hi flow panel filter.

Mechanics have said that the ABS is working fine and the brakes are fine. Checked the vacuum lines and everything is good. I think the pads may be a slightly hard compound making the feel not that great. They also said I am probably not used to driving a big heavy car also.

Yeah Id like to get an idea of what kinda pads are in there. Really need to drive another 34 to compare also. Hmmz.

I had a look at the manual and it doesnt say anything about transmission fluid. Its got engine oil, radiator etc but not what I need! haha

Hi all How much gear oil do I need to replace the gear oil in a manual R34 GTT? I have bought 1 gallon = 3.7L, is this enough? Thanks

Just checked with compliance people who did my car, brake fluids were replaced last month and pads would have been replaced with Nissan pads if less than 50% were used up. My pedal feels quite hard when braking, it feels as if the pads arent gripping the rotors properly. Will check them out this weekend.

Yeah a pain when the they come in 500ml bottles and each bottle is around 25 dollars. The pads look new, I have no idea what they are though. Ill try my best and having the brakes bled and will keep yas informed. Thanks for your help all!

Car was only complianced last month, and unfortunately I do not have a service history for it. Pads look good ie. plenty of meat on them, I might just have to do a brake fluid flush coz it probably has never been done. How much fluid is needed when bleeding brakes on a 34? Id say it would be the same as a 33 right>?
